Stewards interviewed jockey J. Lloyd regarding a report from the Clerk of Scales that during the running of Race 7 he had been observed at his car using a telephone.. Jockey Lloyd provided evidence thatt due to being advised that there were significant delays back to Brisbane he had gone to his car to call his wife and alter plans for the evening..  Stewards after inspecting jockey Lloydds telephonee accepted this evidence,,  however jockey Lloyd pleaded guilty to a charge under AR175(a) and was fined $300 for leaving thee jockeyss roomm without permission of stewards to make a telephone call.

Race 1: Grandview Homes QTIS 3yo Maiden Plate 1600m
 
SHE SALUTES Trainer P. Butterworth will be interviewed in relation to the apparent change of tactics adopted in todayys event.
 
NICALATI Tightened for room shortly after the start and had to be steadied.. Bumped by another runner near the 200m and became unbalanced.
 
DAZZLING GREY Laid in under pressure in the home straight.. Apprentice M. Murphy was obliged to straightened near the 200m.
 
Race 2:: Grambower Concreting Class 3 Plate 1600m
 
POWERFUL FLASH Jockey L. Dittman reported that he was disappointed in the horsees performance andd was of the opinion that the stable would now consider sending the gelding for a spell.. A post race veterinary examination revealed thee horse was suffering from a poor post race recovery and was suffering from mild heat stress.
 
ROYAL ATOM Tightened for room at the start. Shifted out to improve near the 500m and made contact with another runner. Momentarily placed in restricted roomm near the 300m.
 
SMOOTH CONSUL Tightened for room at the start. Bumped by another and forced wider near the 500m.
 
DAZZLE US AGAIN When disappointed for a run approaching the 300m was steadied and altered course back to the inside at that point.
 
SAVANNAH ROSE Apprentice T. Brooker reported her mount laid in throughout.
 
 
Race 3:: Austral Masonry Maiden HHcap 1600m
 
SPUR ME PURPLE Slow to begin.
 
HEIRSROC Slow to begin. Overraced in the middle stages and shifted wider near the 900m and raced wide without cover from that point onwards.
 
SHEES FAST Jumped away very awkwardly and made heavy contact with the barriers.. Returned to scale with an abrasion to the off-side hip.. Raced wide from the 700m.
 
LA FIREBIRD Tightened for room shortly after the start. Overraced in the early stages and was then ridden aggressively when passing the 1300m to take up the lead passing the 1000m.
 
HAVEN DUKE Raced wide during the early stages and ridden aggressively to take up a forward position outside the lead passing the 1000m.
 
ARISTOCAT Raced wide throughout without cover from the 700m.
 
BLOOMINN ARRY Raced wide without cover until leaving the 700m.
 
 
Race 4: TKM Builders Maiden Plate 1200m
 
LITTLE DRUMMER BOY Slow to begin.
 
LOVE AND ROCK IT Slow to begin.
 
RIPPIN NN TEARIN Raced 3 wide without cover.
 
TRICKY SAGA Placed in restricted room near the 300m and became unbalanced.
 
 
 
 
Race 5:: Big River Maiden Plate 1200m
 
LOOKS LIKE ELVIS Declared a late scratching at 2 pm due to traffic delays.
 
On return to scale a protest was lodged by L. Dittman, rider of the second placegetter, MAN IN CHARGE, against the TANGO YANKEE being declared the winner, alleging interference near the 150m.. After taking evidence from the parties concerned and viewing the official video stewards found that whilst there was contact between MAN IN CHARGE and TANGO YANKEE near the 150m, they were satisfied that this contact was as a result of a shift from both horses and that the contact was of a minor nature and did not feel that this had a material effect on the finishing positions and therefore dismissed the objection.
 
MAN IN CHARGE Significantly slow to begin.
 
TANGO YANKEE Difficult to load.. Trainer C. Anderson was advised that the horse would require a further barrier test certificate prior to racing again.
 
HONEST NATALIE Slow to begin. When overracing in the early stages was placed in restricted roomm near the 800m and was steadied as a result.
 
LONHRO MAGIC Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout.
 
LUCKY CAPTAIN ? Which was overracing had to be steadied from heels near the 800m and raced wide throughout.
 
RECKLESS CHOICE Placed in restricted room and had to be steadied near the 800m.
 
FOXY AFFAIR Raced wide without cover.
 
 
Race 6:: Tropic Asphalts Class 4 Hcap 1000m
 
REAL CUTE Declared a late scratching at 2.40 pm due to traffic delays.
 
HI SEXY Declared a late scratching at 2.40 pm due to traffic delays.
 
JOMARRS ELEMENT Raced wide without cover.
 
 
Race 7:: Hy-Tec Industries Class 1 HHcap 1000m
 
BOGEY MAN Jumped away awkwardly, made heavy contact with another runner and lost significant ground.. Rider reported that despite aggressive riding in the early stages the horse was reluctant to stretch out.  A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.
 
STOLE THE SHOW Hampered by another runner on jumping away.
 
BIDZIIL Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
 
Race 8: Evans Built Pty Ltd BenchMark 80 HHcap 1400m
 
HARADIFY Co-trainers A. Ross/T. Sweeney were fined $100 for failing to declare a rider for the horse by the prescribed time.
 
ELLAWISDOM Jumped away awkwardly and raced ungenerously in the early and middle stages.
 
DDHARMONY Obliged to alter course after passing the 400m to secure clear running.
 
REALLY REILLY Laid out under pressure in the home straight, placing the rider at a disadvantagee over the final 200m.
 
 
Race 9: Kawana Junior Rugby League Class 1 HHcap 1400m
 
SIR CASS Apprentice H. English reported that her mount was tightened for room at the start and raced ungenerously in the early stages.
 
MISS BENETEAU Apprentice M. Murphy reported his mount was field shy in the home straight.
 
ROCKING MY WORLD Inconvenienced by another runner approaching the 1200m.. Shortly afterwards was permitted to stride forward to a position outside the lead 3 wide without cover. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
TIMELY REMINDER - Inconvenienced by another runner approaching the 1200m. Raced wide without cover.
 
SCARLETT HUSSIE Over the concluding stages was placed in restricted room and had to be steadied.
 
KNOWING FRANK - Over the concluding stages was placed in restricted room and had to be steadied.
 
EVERY SINGLE ONE A post race veterinary examinationn revealed the horse to be in a distressed state and suffering from heat stress, and that it had also cast its near fore plate.
