Stewards considered an objection lodged by F. Jervis the rider of REAL DYNAMITE which finished 4th place against LOVER IN FLIGHT (J. Worley)) being declared the winner on the grounds of alleged interference in the home straight. After taking evidence from all parties and viewing the official patrol footage stewards dismissed the objection. Stewards acknowledged that LOVER IN FLIGHT did shift out over the concluding stages and inconvenienced REAL DYNAMITE, however, bearing in mind the degree of interference and the margin being approximately a length and three quarters between the 2 horses at the finish stewards were not of the opinion that the interference had a material affect on the placing and declared correct weight on numbers semaphored.

In a subsequent inquiry J. Worley (LOVER IN FLIGHT) was advise to exercise more care when shifting ground.
