On returning to scale, jockey Bradley Appo reported to stewards that after beginning awkwardly he rode the horse along in the early stages, and as a result his mount commenced to overrace, and therefore he obtained a leading position, which was contrary to his instructions which were to attempt to ride the horse with cover today. Jockey Appo was reminded of his obligation to ride his mount out to the conclusion of the event.
