Racing Queensland Limited has announced a new greyhound incentive scheme to commence on January 1, 2012.

The Racing Queensland Incentive Scheme (RQIS) is introduced as a result of necessary improvements to the distribution of prizemoney within the greyhound racing industry.

RQIS will immediately replace the existing Q-Dog scheme which will cease on December 31, 2011.

Registration will commence for RQIS on July 1, 2011.

In its first year of operation, RQIS will offer financial exposure from bonuses of $610,500 and will benefit the connections of eligible greyhounds from the commencement of their racing career until 32 months of age.
