QUEENSLAND RACING LIMITED

CADET STIPENDIARY STEWARD – QUEENSLAND

Queensland Racing Limited, the regulator of thoroughbred racing in Queensland, is seeking suitably qualified persons to be employed as a full time Cadet Stipendiary Steward to be based in Queensland.

Role:

The successful applicant will be required to:

  • Uphold the Rules of Racing and Queensland Racing policies
  • Officiate at race meetings
  • Supervise Barrier Trials, Jumpouts, Trackwork sessions
  • Conduct Stable inspections
  • Perform office duties
  • Required to work flexible hours with five day rostered week
  • Travel intrastate
  • Other duties as required by Queensland Racing

 

The successful applicant must be team orientated and work as an integral part of the Queensland Racing Stewards Panel.

Selection Criteria:

  1. Demonstrated high level of integrity and probity in all professional and personal dealings
  2. Some understanding of Australian and Local Rules Of Racing, Queensland Racing policies and Racing Act 2002
  3. Knowledge of the Thoroughbred Industry
  4. Sound computer skills are required

  • Other duties as required by Queensland Racing
