RACE ONE

SUGAR BRICHERS (3)
was a winner here 5 starts back when finding the front, dictating and ripping home a slick closing panel in sub 28, a time very rarely seen at Marburg. Her runs since have been mixed and last start was just too far back. She can go forward here and repeat the win.

JACK DOUBLEYOU (6) will need plenty of luck to get away from the pegs to find space. His recent runs have been against stronger types than what he meets here and if the gaps come, look for him closing late.

TAFFY BOY (1) worked home in good order from back in the pack to finish best of the chasers and claim 2nd at Redcliffe 3 starts back. Forget his latest start when making an error, from the gate he can feature.

LIVING FREE (5) recorded a maiden breaking win here 7 starts back when leading all the way off gate 1. Since that win he has met some smart types and with even luck from the gate has some claims.

SELECTIONS: SUGAR BRICHERS (3), JACK DOUBLEYOU (6), TAFFY BOY (1), LIVING FREE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: SUGAR BRICHERS (3) to win

RACE THREE

LOCKTON ART (2) looked to lead throughout at AP 3 starts back and was grabbed late over the 2138m trip. Buried away and not getting any luck on Wed night at Redcliffe, she can look to go to the pegs here and dictate.

FLIPPA PENNY (7) has been well covered at her past few starts yet will appreciate this class of contest after meeting some stronger types. She can follow through in the early stages to find position and will be looking to work home late.

COUNTING STARS (1) has been freshened since her last outing when she compounded badly after starting well and then releasing. She comes into this without a public trial and with a cosy run behind the pace can place.

DALACOS EMPRESS (3) has been well beaten of late but has started no closer than gate five in 4 of her past 5 starts. She can look to find position in the early stages and has rough claims in this line-up.

SELECTIONS: LOCKTON ART (2), FLIPPA PENNY (7), COUNTING STARS (1), DALACOS EMPRESS (3)
SUGGESTED BET:  LOCKTON ART (2) to win

RACE FOUR

LEORYAN (3)
will be further improved from his run on Thurs when 3rd up from a spell. From inside the 2nd line when returning he finished 3rd at Redcliffe and last start struggled to work into the contest. From this gate he can get forward and is worth a ticket in a wide-open contest.

ARTS PEREGRINE (5) found the line in good style at Redcliffe 4 starts back when beaten 5m behind XTRAORDINARY LOMBO. Not far away at his next 2, he wasn’t suited last start when working. With placings in 4 of 8 appearances at this track, he can find the podium.

JOEY TEE (7) makes his Qld debut and will be first-up off a freshen. Last start at Temora from the 2nd line he was mid-field by recent Albion Park winner HEZ RAZOR SHARP. If forward enough he can feature.

HOT DOGMA (6) will need plenty of luck from this gate as he looks to be buried away in the run. He worked home in good order behind a tear-away winner BANGKOK BRAVADO to finish 2nd 2 starts back. Just needs a gap.

SELECTIONS: LEORYAN (3), ARTS PEREGRINE (5), JOEY TEE (7), HOT DOGMA (6)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

CHEVALS RACER (8) took on a much stronger FFA trot last start from a front line tape and after being buried on the pegs, the effort was good behind QUIETLY SPOKEN. His run for 3rd at Redcliffe over the 1780m trip 4 starts back was a tidy effort and he can look to make the most of this.

HAVANA MAGIC (3) will be fitter following 1 run back from a break where she was a well-supported fav here at Marburg when making an error and losing all chance. Freshened since that outing, her two 2nds at the last 2 starts of her last campaign suggest she can challenge with the front line here.

HIGH CLOUD LASS (6) made it 6 in a row as the runner-up on Wed night when she chased valiantly but could not reel in the winner SOMEONES SINGING. With an impressive Marburg record she will be right in the fight once again.

STEVES STAR (10) also has an impressive record on the track here and has won 3 of 4 appearances and placed in the other. She worked hard in the run last start when only beaten 3m after coming from the 40m impost. If she can get around them cheaply she will take some stopping.

SELECTIONS: CHEVALS RACER (8), HAVANA MAGIC (3), HIGH CLOUD LASS (6), STEVES STAR (10)
SUGGESTED BET: CHEVALS RACER (8) each-way

RACE SIX

ITS ALL GO (6)
worked hard in the run 3 starts back when claiming the bronze in a Marburg to Albion final after cutting the breeze in the run. He ruined his chances in the heat when making an error from the tapes but if able to get it right can give this a shake from the 10m.

NEVAEH (3) was having her 2nd go from the tapes in the heat when she was slow to muster speed and was chasing all the way and did well to run into 4th. Her run 2 starts back at Narrabri was strong and with a better start can feature.

MISS CATALINA (10) was buried away on the pegs and was hitting the line in good order at Narrabri 2 starts back when only 8m from the winner. Settling in the pocket trail in her heat she lost momentum behind a tiring leader. Back to the 30m makes it tough but she can overcome it.

RIVERLEIGH JEFF (11) has the big 50m handicap to overcome but with even luck in the run he can be working home strongly. A 2nd division qualifier winner at AP 3 starts back when swooping home from well back he gets in here pretty well and warrants inclusion.

SELECTIONS: ITS ALL GO (6), NEVAEH (3), MISS CATALINA (10), RIVERLEIGH JEFF (11)
SUGGESTED BET: ITS ALL GO (6) to win

RACE SEVEN

FRANCO TOTEM (10) will strip fitter from the heats when he was resuming from a 6 month break. Facing the breeze throughout he loomed up and was only grabbed in the closing stages by a swooping winner. A smart 4YO that has won 2 Rising Stars finals in his past 4 starts, his class can prevail.

ARGYLE BEACH (8) is well positioned from the 10m tape and will be having her 3rd Australian start. Making her debut in a mares qualifier, she was 2nd up when finishing strongly to take the heat win of this series. If able to weave though the front line traffic early, she can look to find good position.

COREY WILLIAM (2) made it 5 wins from his past 6 starts in the heat when stepping to the front and dictating terms to score. He wasn’t brilliantly away in the heat, but with the 10m advantage in the early stages this time around he should be able to find the front with a similar beginning. If in control he will take a mountain of stopping.

CHEVALS DIAMOND (6) was quickly into stride in the heat and was able to find the pocket trail behind COREY WILLIAM and then run home to claim the silver. With another quick jump from the tapes in this he can put himself in the right position to feature.

SELECTIONS: FRANCO TOTEM (10), ARGYLE BEACH (8), COREY WILLIAM (2), CHEVALS DIAMOND (6)
SUGGESTED BET: FRANCO TOTEM (10) to win

RACE EIGHT

HOW WE ROLL (7)
will need a slice of luck from this gate and will be relying on some pressure from the front to help bring him into the contest. Forget his last start at Redcliffe when making an error and his previous 3 starts were all from tough gates. Only a head from GOVINNI 5 runs back, he is right in the mix here.

NEWMERELLA SHARKIE (5) would be close to top pick if this race were over the shorter trip but he comes up with the wide gate over the 2200m. His Marburg record is strong at 3: 2-1-0 and look for him working into the race in the middle stages.

BEAUTY BOUND (1) started from gate 4 last start and rolled forward to face the breeze and dug in for the fight to finish. A strong run through a Rising Stars series saw her finish 19m away in the final. From the ace gate she can enjoy the soft trail and be ready to pounce.

ELZBOY (4) was sent forward from the 2nd line at Redcliffe 2 starts back and worked his way to the front before weakening in the closing stages. Better suited to the mobile conditions here he can look to find a forward position and make start 100 a milestone.

SELECTIONS: HOW WE ROLL (7), NEWMERELLA SHARKIE (5), BEAUTY BOUND (1), ELZBOY (4)
SUGGESTED BET: HOW WE ROLL (7) to win

RACE NINE

ZENMACH (7)
should appreciate this type of race after meeting some strong types in recent starts. Beaten behind THREE OF THE BEST and BUNDABURRA in 2 of his past 3 starts his only ever appearance at Marburg was a win from gate 8 and he can land a winning blow here.

JANGO FETT (5) settled in the running line from gate 3 at AP on Tues and took the bronze when 4.5m from the winner PSYCHEDELIC. That followed a tidy effort from gate 6 at Redcliffe and with good early speed might just have a look here.

RUATO BAY (4) has been no closer than gate 7 at his past 6 starts and has been meeting some strong types in those. With a run at Redcliffe on Thurs to tune-up for this, he will be looking for position from the gate to limit the work.

DOMESTIC ART (2) has a great record here at Marburg with 6 wins and been runner-up a further 4 times from 16 appearances. From the gate he can look to fire the first shot and will then have available options.

SELECTIONS: ZENMACH (7), JANGO FETT (5), RUATO BAY (4), DOMESTIC ART (2)
SUGGESTED BET: Flexi trifecta 2-4-5-7
