RACE ONE

LANSBURY (6)
had been racing well and put together 3 successive placings followed by a pair of mid-field runs when not that far away. Last start she cashed-in off a 20m impost and finished best to score over the AP 2138m trip. With 2 wins from 5 attempts on the track she looks well placed.

GO AHEAD MAKEMYDAY (4) was a big winner at Marburg 3 starts back when working into the race strongly and putting a big margin on the field. His run here last week was strong when charging home from well back and fro, the front line is a big danger.

SOMEONES SINGING (1) is racing well and scored here 4 starts back when leading throughout. Rundown last start, she can step safely however at her 1st attempt over the longer trip would prefer to see.

MONORAIL (7) will be further tightened after his latest run when 3rd up from a break. He found the line well last start behind SPIRIT WALKER and can feature in this line-up.

SELECTIONS: LANSBURY (6), GO AHEAD MAKEMYDAY (4), SOMEONES SINGING (1), MONORAIL (7)
SUGGESTED BET: LANSBURY (6) to win

RACE TWO

ZED EXPRESS (2) has been in the money at his past 5 starts and been the runner-up in the past 3. Over the 1780m trip here 2 starts back he worked home strongly after going back from gate 6 and then was only beaten a nose at Marburg last time out. He can look for the pegs and hope to dictate.

THE LOVE BANDIT (1) will be fitter for his latest start when 3rd up from a break. Finding the position behind the leader he held on behind the big 20m winner. Taking the cosy trip he can place again.

GROOVY MISS ANNIE (7) worked hard in the run last start at Tamworth and fought hard to the line when beaten 2m. With the cosy trip here she can issue a late challenge once the gaps appear.

WAVEDANCER (4) cut the breeze last start and was fighting all the way when within 2m of the winner. That followed a similar run when 7m from HEAVENS HURRICANE. He is right in this.

SELECTIONS: ZED EXPRESS (2), THE LOVE BANDIT (1), GROOVY MISS ANNIE (7), WAVEDANCER (4)
SUGGESTED BET: Flexi trifecta 1-2-4-7

RACE THREE

LONG LEGS LOU (2) has been runner-up at her past 3 in succession after starting from inside the 2nd line on each occasion. She hit the line strongly last start when buried 3 back and from the front line gate in this field can look to take control and this looks her chance for a 3YO victory.

MILLY BROMAC (1) looks to get the perfect run here and taking the trail will be poised and ready to strike once the gaps arrive. Forget her last start when striking trouble, with the easy trip here is in the mix.

SUGAR BRICHERS (8) found her race at Marburg 2 starts back and spearing out to the front was able to take control from the front. Luckless here last start when unable to find position she can follow through at the start here and from a handy position has place claims.

LARA BAY (5) looked to take them all the way here 2 starts back from gate 1 and after setting a steady tempo was run-down. Luckless from a wide gate last start, this looks more suitable despite the wide alley.

SELECTIONS: LONG LEGS LOU (2), MILLY BROMAC (1) SUGAR BRICHERS (8), LARA BAY (5)
SUGGESTED BET: LONG LEGS LOU / MILLY BROMAC (1/2) quinella

RACE FOUR

PROBY ONE (3)
will be fitter for his latest run when 1st up back in Qld and after a 7 week break between runs. Forced to work hard in a claiming challenge heat off gate 7 his condition gave out in the closing stages. He can look to get forward here and overcome a long winless streak.

BIG BRUCE (1) was 1st up in Qld last start and had not been seen since December when scoring a strong victory at Victor Harbor. Taken back last start from a wide gate in a race dominated at the front, he can look to repel them early and from the front would take catching.

JESSICA AMBER (4) gets her 1st look at Redcliffe and comes in a last start 2nd in a 2nd div band 5 where she looked to lead throughout and was grabbed in the closing stages. She has been meeting more in-form types than what she meets here and can challenge.

FOURS ENUF TAS (8) worked home strongly last start when wide off the track at Tamworth and landed the bronze. If the speed is too hot early, he is the best positioned to work home late and warrants consideration.

SELECTIONS: PROBY ONE (3), BIG BRUCE (1), JESSICA AMBER (4), FOURS ENUF TAS (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

BOB GAGE (1) has been forced to work from wide gates since his last win here 6 starts back and has been no closer than gate 4 since that all the way win. He found the line strongly last start behind PLAYNSERIOUS in a 2nd division qualifier and from the front can take control of this.

RAFFERTY DELIGHTS (7) was working home strongly in the closing stages 2 starts back to grab the bronze behind SUBTLE ADVICE. A long way back last start he should enjoy the cosy trip here and be ready to strike.

GLENFERRIE BABY (4) took on a mares qualifier last start and was hitting the line strongly in the closing stages behind ROCKONBYE. She is racing well without getting the reward and will be charging home again.

HE GETS IT (3) found his race at AP 2 starts back and broke a long run of outs to score a good victory. Disappointing last start he can turn that around here by settling handy and challenging.

SELECTIONS: BOB GAGE (1), RAFFERTY DELIGHTS (7), GLENFERRIE BABY (4), HE GETS IT (3)
SUGGESTED BET: BOB GAGE (1) to win

RACE SIX

ROCKNROLL PROMISE (8)
is racing well and last start cashed-in for an all the way win off gate 2. Here 2 starts back his run was full of merit when from this same gate he worked forward to find position and was only beaten a half-neck. In the open contest he is right in the mix.

SOPHIES PRIDE (3) was a winner here 4 starts back when coming with a well-timed run to take a 5m victory. Following that with a passing lane 3rd her past 2 have been dominated from the front by the winner. In a wide-open contest she is worth a ticket.

CAPTAIN CHARGE OVER (9) worked hard in the breeze last start and held on for the silver at Tamworth. Buried away at both starts prior to that effort he can look to work home strongly here.

FALCON VISTA (7) has claimed the bronze the past 2 starts and both when working home in the closing stages. He faces a tricky gate here and will need some luck in transit but if the gaps open he can feature.

SELECTIONS: ROCKNROLL PROMISE (8), SOPHIES PRIDE (3), CAPTAIN CHARGE OVER (9), FALCON VISTA (7),
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

GLENFERRIE DUSTER (1) arrives in Qld for the jack Butler barn after 4 starts in the Western Districts of NSW after arriving from NZ. He didn’t set the world alight in those 4 starts but did run into some handy ones and was never closer than gate 5. With the good gate he strikes the right type of race.

MAJOR TRALEE (7) was a winner here 2 starts back when swooping home over the top to take a nice win. Last start he couldn’t work into it with the leader and winner only sprinting the closing panel. With the cosy trip he can feature.

WRITEABOUTCHELSEA (8) had been luckless at her 2 previous runs leading in to last week and following 3 2nd line draws made the most of returning to the front and finished best to take a tidy win. With the early option to look for the pegs here she can finish hard.

INCITER (6) has the tough gate to overcome but should be further tightened now from 2 runs back from a break. Only 2m from NOVENA ROSE and then a tough run from the breeze behind PROFICIENT sees him well in here.

SELECTIONS: GLENFERRIE DUSTER (1), MAJOR TRALEE (7), WRITEABOUTCHELSEA (8), INCITER (6)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-6-7-8

RACE EIGHT

GOTTA GO RALPHIE (1)
took on a 2200m event at Marburg 2 starts back and did his share of work in the run in some solid sections. Last start he worked hard in the breeze when beaten at red figures and with the move in one position to gate 1 will get his chance to take them all the way for his 2nd win of the season.

BUDDY BABCOCK (7) has placed at his past 7 in succession and keeps working home well to claim a minor. Working home down the outside 2 starts back to get within a half-head of the winner, he was 7.5m from ROCKNROLL PROMISE last start. With the run here he will be darting along the inside.

CAMIVISTA (10) worked home well here 2 starts back to claim the silver behind the good winner LETHAL PROMISE. He used some petrol early last start and held on for the bronze. Saved for the closing shot here he can be attacking the line.

LOCKTON ART (4) found her race and took them all the way at Marburg 2 starts back. Not suited off the 2nd line last start she still worked home well and the effort had merit. Getting forward early she has some hope.

SELECTIONS: GOTTA GO RALPHIE (1), BUDDY BABCOCK (7), CAMIVISTA (10), LOCKTON ART (4)
SUGGESTED BET: GOTTA GO RALPHIE (1) to win

RACE NINE

JUSTA DALE (10)
found a suitable race here 4 starts back and was able to put them away in good style as a red figure fav. He followed that with a good 3rd when hitting the line strongly. Put a line through his last 2 at AP, back to the triangle in a race that looks to have plenty of early speed and pressure he can prevail over the top.

CALCAVADO (3) is never far away from the action on this track as evidenced by his record that shows 18 top 3 finishes from 23 starts. He worked home well from wide out last start and that followed a passing lane win. He will be right in the thick of it again here.

OYSTER STRIDE (1) secured the hat-trick last start when leading all the way and holding off the closing challenge. The 3 wins have been at both the 1780m and 2040m trip and if he can repel the challengers early will be looking to grip on in the closing stages.

MY MASTERCRAFTSMAN (7) is in some danger of being buried away here and will be sweating on the 1 holding the lead and if he does will then be hoping to get to the lane with momentum. Placed his past 2 starts he worked home well behind PALE BEAR BOO last time and is in the mix again.

SELECTIONS:  JUSTA DALE (10), CALCAVADO (3), OYSTER STRIDE (1), MY MASTERCRAFTSMAN (7)
SUGGESTED BET: JUSTA DALE (10) each-way
