RACE ONE

SPLASH OF GOLD (1)
has been super consistent all season and 3 starts back broke through for a well-deserved victory when using the passing lane to score. From gate 10 last start she was attacking the line strongly and with a cosy trip can strike when the gap opens to start what looks a big night for the Dixon stable.

MIDNIGHT BENDER (3) had placed in 3 successive runs and 2 starts back was beaten a neck when grabbed right on the line. A strong all the way winner from gate 5 last start he can get to the pegs and try to fight them off.

SKYLARHAIN (7) settled in the running line from a 2nd row gate last week and didn’t really eat into the leaders margin when asked for an effort. With the cosy trip here she won’t spend a cent in the run and can charge late.

THE FRAME (9) was looking to make it 4 successive wins last start when working forward from the 2nd line to the breeze he couldn’t finish it off. If he can get into the contest cheaply he has place claims.

SELECTIONS: SPLASH OF GOLD (1), MIDNIGHT BENDER (3), SKYLARHAIN (7), THE FRAME (9)
SUGGESTED BET: Flexi trifecta 1-3-7-9

RACE TWO

CELTIC CRUZA (5) has placed at his past 2 starts, the latest when leading them deep into the stretch in a qualifier. Run down on the line after burning in a sub 27 opener, the run had merit. He can roll forward here and apply the pressure and bully his way to victory.

HOT ROD HEAVEN (2) has been struggling to land a gate and been closer than gate 5 once in his past 8 starts. His run 5 starts back in a 2nd division qualifier was a tidy effort when 3m from the winner and his latest run from gate 10had merit. He can be an improver.

CALCAVADO (4) is never far from the action in these type of races and comes into this as a last start 2nd when beaten 2m behind OUR BUSCEMI. Only 3m away in the claiming final 3 starts back he can podium again.

JAZZY ARTIST (7) will need a slice of luck from this gate as she looks to be buried in the run. Rewarded for her consistency last start when pressing on to find the front, she just needs some luck.

SELECTIONS: CELTIC CRUZA (5), SUMMER MONEY (1), CALCAVADO (4), JAZZY ARTIST (7)
SUGGESTED BET: CELTIC CRUZA (5) to win

RACE THREE

TIME TRAVELLER (2) was buried in the run here last week and didn’t see space until the race was gone. At Marburg on Sunday he was never a factor in the Goldstrike when locked away in the run. He can get forward here and look to dictate.

SHERIFF JUJON (6) finished off strongly 3 starts back over the 1780m to arrive for a 1m victory. A sub-par run at his next start was followed with a 2nd to COULDNTBETOLD from the pocket trail throughout. The gate hurts but he is up to this.

WESTERN JEWELS (7) will be needing a slice of luck from this gate but if able to see space with track to work with can feature. Forget her last start when making an error, she was a winner in 2 of her previous 3 and has some hope here.

TRAVELNFAST (3) returns from a break following 2 starts in Qld since arriving from NSW. Grabbed late when looking to lead throughout off gate 1, she should improve and is worth watching.

SELECTIONS: TIME TRAVELLER (2), SHERIFF JUJON (6), WESTERN JEWELS (7), TRAVELNFAST (3)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

LETHAL PROMISE (1)
makes his debut for Grant Dixon and makes his way back to Qld after starting his career here. 3 starts back his run when facing the breeze at Bathurst and beaten under 4m over the 2260m was a strong effort and from the gate finds the perfect race to lead throughout.

OMINOUS FLYER (7) resumes from a spell and was last seen when well held behind SUMMERTIME LIZZIE. Trialling once at Marburg to blow the cobwebs out, he should secure the perfect trip at his return and can land in the money.

CAMIVISTA (8) can look for the cheap runs here and drop to the pegs and issue a late closing sprint. From that same position last start he worked home well for the bronze and can repeat that here.

ARCHIECANO (3) found running line cover from gate 5 last start and when produced into open space closed strongly down the stretch to an 8m victory. Limiting the work in the run he can fill the exotics.

SELECTIONS: LETHAL PROMISE (1), OMINOUS FLYER (7), CAMIVISTA (8), ARCHIECANO (3)
SUGGESTED BET: LETHAL PROMISE (1) to win

RACE FIVE

MAJOR GENERALJUJON (1) looked to take them all the way at AP 4 starts back and from gate 1 led them for home when rundown by the smart MAYWYNS COURAGE. A tough run when cutting the breeze followed and with the gate to take full advantage here, he can lead all the way.

TORQUE FEELS GOOD (7) was finding the line strongly 3 starts back after starting from gate 10 and beat all bar GINA MACH to the wire. She will get the perfect trail from this gate and will be ready to pounce when the gaps appear.

BIG BEAT (3) has been top 3 in all 5 runs back this time in, the latest when attacking the line strongly after going back from gate 6 and only a half-head from the winner. He might need to work but is still in the fight.

TELLELLA (2) broke through last week when holding the front from gate 1 she was able to dictate terms and lead throughout. That followed a late closing 2nd to VELOCE BELLA and with the right cover can feature.

SELECTIONS: MAJOR GENERALJUJON (1), TORQUE FEELS GOOD (7), BIG BEAT (3), TELLELLA (2)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJOR GENERALJUJON (1) to win

RACE SIX

MAESTRO MAC (2)
gets into this race nicely following a breakthrough win last week to open his career tally. Warming up to a victory with placings in 5 of his past 6 starts he was able to find the front off gate 4 and dictate for a narrow victory. This looks no harder and he can repeat.

MONTANA BEACH (3) found the running line from inside the 2nd line last start and worked home in good order when 4th to MAESTRO MAC. His 2nd 4 starts back was a tidy effort and stretching the pace early can find the space to get in behind the leader and be poised to strike.

MAJOR TRALEE (4) was 1st up since joining the Tayla Gillespie stable when finishing the best of the chasers behind the tear-away winner DARBY BRIGHTS. Fitter for that run which was his 1st in 7 weeks he has place claims here.

TIMETOGETHAPPY (9) is yet to find the podium in 5 career starts, yet has been showing steady improvement at each outing. With the right run in transit she can be an exotic hope.

SELECTIONS: MAESTRO MAC (2), MONTANA BEACH (3), MAJOR TRALEE (4), TIMETOGETHAPPY (9)
SUGGESTED BET: MAESTRO MAC (2) to win

RACE SEVEN

BONNIE JUJON (5) has the wide gate to overcome yet looks to get into this race nicely. Last start she met a much stronger field when beaten into 4th behind JAZZY ARTIST and 2 back in a Gold Pot final was always going to struggle to make ground from back in the pack with a 55.1 closing 800m from the front. She gets every chance here.

BUDDY BABCOCK (4) has placed in his past 5 in succession with the latest 3rd coming after being buried away in the run and making some late ground. With even luck in transit from this gate he can go close.

BALTIC BLUE EYES (3) fired off the gate to find the front last start and was rundown in the stretch by VANTO HANOVER. Her run 3 starts back when 3m behind MEANT TO BE ME was a tidy effort and sent to the front will be gripping on.

JULES AND DENISE (7) will need her slice of luck from this gate as she is in danger of being buried in the run. Last start she worked home for the silver behind ONYA DOUG and has place claims again.

SELECTIONS: BONNIE JUJON (5), BUDDY BABCOCK (4), BALTIC BLUE EYES (3), JULES AND DENISE (7)
SUGGESTED BET: BONNIE JUJON (5) to win

RACE EIGHT

The first race of the season for the 2YO’s at Redcliffe which can always throw up a few tricks for those that haven’t seen the track. JOVIAL JULIE (6) seemed to everything professionally when trialling at AP and was working home well in the trial. A daughter of Mach Three from the powerful Dixon stable she goes on top. Market watch.

SAMS THE BEST (2) came out of that same trial as JOVIAL JULIE and the son of Cammibest for the Jack Butler stable did everything right and wasn’t asked for too much. With natural improvement he can be in the mix.

SHESFEELINPRECIOUS (3) has been educated at Redcliffe and trialled well at AP to prepare for her debut. Trained by Kylie Rasmussen she is a Mr Feelgood filly from the un-raced Star Of Heaven.

GIZZMO (9) has 3 race starts to his name and can has been doing well without threatening. His run 2 starts back was a solid effort when making ground against the tempo and he has exotic claims.

SELECTIONS: JOVIAL JULIE (6), SAMS THE BEST (2), SHESFEELINPRECIOUS (3), GIZZMO (9)
SUGGESTED BET:

Insufficient exposed form to determine speed map.

RACE NINE

ASTRAL RULER (7)
started off a 30m tape here last time out over the sprint trip and tracked home well to finish mid-field. He found the line strongly 2 starts back when 9m from the winner after coming from a 30m impost and back to mobile conditions this looks his chance to cash-in.

GO AHEAD MAKEMYDAY (3) is a quick beginner that can look to fire off the arm early to find the pegs and if that eventuates he will take some catching. He finished off strongly at Marburg on Sunday to land a good win and can give this a shake.

DAY TOURER (1) stepped cleanly from 10m here 2 starts back and was able to take them all the way. Not suited in the breeze last start he should be in a good position in the run to place.

STONED AGAIN (6) is yet to land a win from the mobile in 20 attempts, yet his recent run from the tapes have been good despite doing things run. If he can maintain his gait he can feature.

SELECTIONS: ASTRAL RULER (7), GO AHEAD MAKEMYDAY (3), DAY TOURER (1), STONED AGAIN (6)
SUGGESTED BET: ASTRAL RULER (7) to win
