RACE TWO

UNTITLED (3) scored a strong win here 2 starts back in a drivers invitation race and then switched to the Wayne Graham barn. Not suited from a wide gate when 1st up after the switch, his performance was better than the return behind CODE BAILEY. From the handy gate he gets his chance to bounce back.

TOP FLIGHT CRUIZE (1) was a strong winner from the front at Redcliffe last start when running home a nice closing 800m panel. He was given no peace in the run from the front 2 starts back and fought gamely when 5m from the winner. His AP record is a concern, but from the gate he can change that.

JANUARY (11) went back from gate 7 last start and was too far back behind the leading pair of CODE BAILEY and MAJOR OCCASION. Still hitting the line in strong sections she can steam home here.

LUVUMUM (6) shared the spoils with a dead-heat win at her Qld debut 2 starts back and followed that with a 1m 2nd to IMA MYSTERY GIRL. Freshened since that run she is right in the fight here.

SELECTIONS: UNTITLED (3), TOP FLIGHT CRUIZE (1), JANUARY (11), LUVUMUM (6)
SUGGESTED BET: UNTITLED (3) to win

RACE THREE

UNDERTHEKILT (1) pressed forward from a wide gate at Redcliffe 2 starts back before finding cover and battled to the line behind JANIES GOT A GUN. His all the way win at Redcliffe 5 starts back was a tidy effort with a nice last 800m and from the gate can look to dictate in a wide open race.

TIWANAKU (12) made his 1st Qld appearance here last week when looking to lead throughout from gate 3. Setting a steady tempo over this trip he was struck down in the closing stages by THUNDER MAC. Taking improvement from that he can issue a challenge despite the tough alley.

THE FLOYD (11) raced tough in the breeze 2 starts back from gate 7 and went down fighting when 4m from NOVENA ROSE. He looked to have found his race last start but never fired. Forgive that he can bounce back here.

MONUMENTAL (10) was working home wide off the track last start when mid-field behind THUNDER MAC. That followed a handy effort behind SMOOTH SAILOR. This grade appeals.

SELECTIONS: UNDERTHEKILT (1), TIWANAKU (12), THE FLOYD (11), MONUMENTAL (10)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

RUHTREBO (2)
settled in the running line from the 2nd line last start over the Redcliffe 2040m and was given his calling sprinted around them nicely to post an 11m winning margin. Back to the front line gate with his good speed he can dictate.

TELL THE LINESMEN (1) completed a hat-trick of wins and when after 4 on the run did a brave job over the 2138m when beaten 2m behind SMOOTH SAILOR. Beaten from the gate at his past 2 starts he can make the most of a cosy trip here and be ready to strike.

ARTFUL MAID (5) found her race last start and finding the front over the Redcliffe sprint trip was never in danger. Fitter from that run she has podium claims in this.

LIFEINHEAVEN (3) was buried away on the pegs last start and when finding space was hitting the line in good order. That followed a tough mares qualifier. Place claims look best.

SELECTIONS: RUHTREBO (2), TELL THE LINESMEN (1), ARTFUL MAID (5), LIFEINHEAVEN (3)
SUGGESTED BET: RUHTREBO (2) to win

RACE FIVE

VINTAGE DREAM (2) found running line cover here last start from gate 3 and was charging home in the closing stages to get within a half-head of the winner TROUBLESOME DAVE. That followed a strong 2nd to ADRIFT at Redcliffe and from the good gate she can look to cash-in.

TACT OLLIE (1) was stuck looking for position here on Tuesday and was snagged back and that was the end of his chances with LILAC FLASH dealing in front. Run down when lighting the lamps from this gate 3 starts back behind MUSCLE MACH, this type of race looks the right assignment.

ADRIFT (3) held the front from gate 1 at Redcliffe last start over the 2040m and after looking to ramp the tempo the last 800m was grabbed on the line. He is right in the fight in this.

DATSGOOD (8) looks to get a good trip from this gate and will be ready to take a shot when the gaps appear. She took them all the way at Redcliffe last start and will be probing for the run.

SELECTIONS: VINTAGE DREAM (2), TACT OLLIE (1), ADRIFT (3), DATSGOOD (8)
SUGGESTED BET: VINTAGE DREAM (2) to win

RACE SIX

EPIRUS BOY (1)
was 1st up after a stable change last start and found himself too far back from gate 6 to work into the contest. With a strong closing sprint when saved for one run, he can look to release early and will be coiled and ready to strike. This looks ideal.

GOOD BOY OLIVER (4) pressed on to the breeze from gate 5 last start over the 2138m trip and after working hard in the run couldn’t see it out and faded off. His previous 2 runs were solid efforts from tough gates and from this alley he can take an early look and lay down a challenge.

LITTLE CHANGE (8) held the inside running in the early stages before releasing and then chased hard to grab the bronze behind MACHIN OUT. With the cosy trip he can be ready to take a closing shot.

BLACK BELT (6) found the pegs before releasing and holding on for the bronze in claiming company last start, beaten 6m behind STIRLING WILLIAM. The gate hurts yet he can still feature.

SELECTIONS: EPIRUS BOY (1), GOOD BOY OLIVER (4), LITTLE CHANGE (8), BLACK BELT (6)
SUGGESTED BET: EPIRUS BOY (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

MACHITELLI (9) was looking for back-to-back Marburg victories last start when she struck trouble early and lost a stack of ground. Chasing hard she was again working into it when again in strife and that ended her chances. She is a smart filly and with the right trail can put them away in this.

MERRYMACH (6) was 2nd up off a break here last start and secured a perfect trip behind the speed. Taking her shot when finding space she finished over the top with a 2m victory and a further 20m back to 3rd. Only lightly raced and fitter from that run she can look to build into her prep here.

JUST JOSHIN (3) is still searching for a maiden breaking win after finishing runner-up in all 4 career starts. He worked home in good style last start to get within a head of the winner. From the gate he will be right in the mix.

BETTERTHAN TORQUE (1) found the front before releasing last start and chased home when mid-field behind HAPPY FEELINGS. With the soft trip from this alley she is a place chance.

SELECTIONS: MACHITELLI (9), MERRYMACH (6), JUST JOSHIN (3), BETTERTHAN TORQUE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: MACHITELLI (9) to win

RACE EIGHT

DAENERYS STORMBORN (6)
was brave in defeat at Marburg last start after coming from a mammoth 70m handicap and tracking into the race to be 9m from the winner STONED AGAIN. She meets him 30m better off under the conditions here and after only 4m from the in-form GHENT 2 starts back, she gets her chance.

MORESUCCESS (2) makes her Qld debut for Cristina Monte and will be 1st up since the 2017 Breeders Crown 2YO trot final. Her Victorian form is around some smart square-gaiters and with a handy enough trial to prepare for her return, she will certainly take benefit from the run.

NORAHS FLING (5) started off 60m at Marburg and was closing out in good order to be within 3m of the winner. Luckless at Redcliffe 2 starts back she can look for early position and has podium claims.

JUSTABITLIKEMUM (7) did a fine job last start after striking trouble as the fav and chased gamely to be 8m from the winner OLE SUN.  That followed 3 successive runs from the mobile and with even luck in transit here can feature.

SELECTIONS: DAENERYS STORMBORN (6), MORESUCCESS (2), NORAHS FLING (5), JUSTABITLIKEMUM (7)
SUGGESTED BET: DAENERYS STORMBORN (6) to win
