RACE TWO

LOCKTON LUCK (11) has the tough gate but there should be a solid tempo which will aid his chances of working into the contest. He took them all the way here 3 starts back and never looked in danger out in front. Luckless at his next outing before grabbed late from gate 7 last time, he can land this.

MAFUTA VAUTIN (2) will strip fitter following his return from a break where his run on the grass at Kilcoy had merit after making a mess of the start. He had trialled twice to prepare for his return with both handy efforts and with his best gate for some time can look to take advantage.

INVINCIBLE LOXTON (12) returns from a spell and was last seen when striking trouble in the Lucky Creed. He put together 6 successive wins prior to that and with 2 strong trials to prepare, they will know he is there.

HOLY CAMP CLIVE (8) will need his share of luck from the gate, but the 8YO is in great form and has been runner-up to GLENFERRIE HOOD at his past 2. Just needs an opening to issue a challenge.

SELECTIONS: LOCKTON LUCK (11), MAFUTA VAUTIN (2), INVINCIBLE LOXTON (12), HOLY CAMP CLIVE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Flexi trifecta 2-8-11-12

RACE THREE

OUR CHITTYBANGBANG (5) was a strong winner here 5 starts back when working into the race strongly from gate 12. He wasn’t far away at his next few and was building towards a win that arrived last week when leading all the way. He can press forward again and looks hard to stop.

IAMBOOGIE (3) had been racing well and not beaten far from some tough gates before running into SLICE OF HEAVEN last start. With good early speed he can look to be 1st to the pegs and with the options to release the pressure and take the closing shot will see him right in the fight.

NONE BETTOR (7) has a tricky gate but he is having a great season and last start capitalised from gate 2 to win a qualifier going all the way. He can work in his races and will be in the mix.

POMPIDOU (1) has regathered form after successive wins at Redcliffe. Both wins have been when pressing forward to find the front. He might be out-gunned early which is a concern but warrants inclusion.

SELECTIONS: OUR CHITTYBANGBANG (5), IAMBOOGIE (3), NONE BETTOR (7), POMPIDOU (1)
SUGGESTED BET: OUR CHITTYBANGBANG (5) to win

RACE FOUR

BULL MARKET (5)
finished over the top of them here 3 starts back from gate 11 to score a nice win in mid-week company. Only 5m from the winner after leading deep into the stretch from gate 6 at his next start, his latest run over the less preferred 2138m was solid. He can look to take dictate.

ANNIKA MAGIC (2) was fighting on gamely last start and was 5m from the winner after locked in traffic and looking to force a way clear. Her form has been solid without winning but with the right run in transit can look to issue a challenge.

MAJOR OCCASION (8) is looking in danger of being buried away and from this same gate last week snagged back to get around them and avoid the pocket. That was a solid win in mares company, but this is another step up.

OUTLAW FELLA (3) has been freshened since his last appearance when running the smart EFFRONTE to a half-neck after working hard in the breeze. He might need the run but will still be in the mix.

SELECTIONS: BULL MARKET (5), ANNIKA MAGIC (2), MAJOR OCCASION (8), OUTLAW FELLA (3)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

GLENFERRIE BABY (1) pressed on from gate 4 to lead throughout here 2 starts back in a C3-4 Aspirational race, holding on to score by a neck. Not suited last week from the 2nd line over the 2138m, the run still had merit. From the ace against her own sex, she gets every chance.

BURNING AMBITION (8) will be glued to the back of the 1 and be ready to issue the closing shot when the gap opens. Her run last start was a nice effort from the 2nd line when circling early to the breeze and fighting hard behind DARKERSHADEOFPALE. She will be coiled and ready to strike.

ARCACHON (9) pressed forward to find the front here last week over the 2138m and held on to claim the bronze behind the swooping GRINVIL. She can look for the pegs and a cheap run here to land in the money.

MIGHT AND MAIN (7) has the tough gate to overcome here but she is racing well and a win in these type of mares races is not far away. She took them all the way at Redcliffe 2 starts back and last start from this same alley was charging home late.

SELECTIONS: GLENFERRIE BABY (1), BURNING AMBITION (8), ARCACHON (9), MIGHT AND MAIN (7)
SUGGESTED BET: GLENFERRIE BABY / BURNING AMBITION (1/8) Quinella

RACE SIX

GAME WE PLAY (2)
has started from wide gates at his past 2 which don’t suit his style and he has been too far back to challenge. With good early speed and back to the mile, he can look to fire the 1st shot and while his numbers are not great, he gets his chance here to bounce back.

RIVERLEIGH ROCKET (10) held the pocket trail from gate 1 here last week and fought hard when 7m from NONE BETTOR. That followed a tidy effort behind ONE WISE MAN and while the 2nd line is not his best play, he has been meeting stronger opponents and can be working home hard in this.

PROJECTILE (1) has started from gate 5 twice and then gate 10 at his past 3 starts all at Redcliffe. Moving to the ace gate here and with the soft run in transit, he can look to issue a closing challenge.

NIKALONG HENRY (5) did some early work here on Tues and the wasn’t far from the winner ARGYLE BEACH. That followed a tidy effort behind OUR CHITTYBANGBANG and with even luck in transit he wont be far away in this.

SELECTIONS: GAME WE PLAY (2), RIVERLEIGH ROCKET (10), PROJECTILE (1), NIKALONG HENRY (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

SPRINBANK EDEN (9) was too strong here last week when pressing to the breeze from a 10m tape and out-lasting them. His win 3 starts back was an impressive effort over the 2138m trip and with the right run in transit can look to add another win to his tally.

HELLBOUND (3) scored under mobile conditions here last start when finishing best from the running line to score by a neck. His run 2 back suggested a win wasn’t far away and with an excellent record from the mobile will be right in the thick of it in this.

SPUD (8) is flying at present and will need plenty of luck and might just be away from the pegs early to avoid a pocket. Beaten 2m last start behind SPRINGBANK EDEN, he will be a huge threat if seeing space.

SOUTHERN ALPS (11) started from a 10m tape last start when finishing mid-field behind SPRINGBANK EDEN. That followed a strong all-the-way win over the log 2647m trip and from the tough alley is a podium hope.

SELECTIONS: SPRINBANK EDEN (9), HELLBOUND (3), SPUD (8), SOUTHERN ALPS (11)
SUGGESTED BET: SPRINBANK EDEN (9) to win

RACE EIGHT

SIR JULIAN (2)
is on the back-up from Thurs where he looked well placed and a leading hope. He hasn’t been far away in recent starts including 10m behind OUR CHITTYBANGBANG in a qualifier, that followed a 3m 3rd to ONE WISE MAN. From the gate he looks to get his chance.

BIG BRUCE (5) made an error last start and was banished to the trials. He returned an impressive trial to stamp his ticket back to the races. and despite a tricky gate can throw down a challenge His form prior to hi latest run was sound and despite a tricky gate can throw down a challenge.

SAMMYSLUCK (1) steps out in Qld for the 1st time for Adam Richardson. With the benefit of the ace gate and good early speed, he can look to make the most of his debut.

KAANAPALI (8) looks set to enjoy a nice trip against the markers from this gate. He looked to take them all the way last week when fading late and with the soft trip can be sharper.

SELECTIONS: SIR JULIAN (2), BIG BRUCE (5), SAMMYSLUCK (1), KAANAPALI (8)
SUGGESTED BET: SIR JULIAN (2) to win

RACE NINE

GLENFERRIE HOOD (2)
is in super form and completed a hat-trick of victories here last week when never in danger controlling the tempo. After a 2nd panel breather he was well within himself in scoring. With the lead his for the taking, he will be wheeling and dealing in front.

ALLELUIA (6) is racing well and keeping the placings ticking over. 3rd to GLENFERRIE HOOD his past 3, he was hitting the line in good fashion last week to be within 4m at the finish. He has no luck from the gate here but can slide across and will be charging home.

OUR MILLWOOD MAIZIE (1) lands the perfect gate for her pattern in the small field and will be ready to take the passing lane when it opens. 2nd last start the soft run suits.

SELECTIONS: GLENFERRIE HOOD (2), ALLELUIA (6), OUR MILLWOOD MAIZIE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: GLENFERRIE HOOD (2) to win

RACE TEN

NEVAEH (8)
found the running line from gate 5 last start and hit the line in good order to be within 2m of the winner HAVETOGETAWAYMORE. That followed a tough effort at Redcliffe when fighting hard to the line. Sweating on the 1 getting her to the passing lane, she will take the closing shot.

BRONZE ECSTASY (1) was slow off the arm last start and shuffled away was never a factor behind SPRING CAMPAIGN. The start prior he hit the line in good order and hustled hard he can look to take them all the way.

SHADOW HUNTER (9) has claimed the bronze at his past 2 starts, the latest from 3 back along the markers behind PRECIOUS CULLEN. He will need a slice of luck in transit but this is within reach.

CAESARS ASTRUM (11) found the line nicely at Redcliffe 4 starts back when wide off the track and followed that with a 3rd to SPRING CAMPAIGN. Luck went her way at Redcliffe when successful on Wed night and she has claims.

SELECTIONS: NEVAEH (8), BRONZE ECSTASY (1), SHADOW HUNTER (9), CAESARS ASTRUM (11)
SUGGESTED BET: NEVAEH (8) to win
