RACE TWO

MAYBETOTHEMAX (10) will be fitter following 3 runs back from a break with his latest effort an eye-catcher from back in the pack. Settling back from his 10m tape there was plenty to like about how he finished it off when 6m from SPRINGBANK EDEN. Back to this class he can work home over the top.

DAENERYS STORMBORN (7) worked forward from the 40m impost last start to press on to the pegs and once in control was able to last for a 5m victory. She steps out against some better credentialed types here and while she has plenty of grades to get through, she can start with this.

IVANOV (6) is a slick beginner that can fly the tapes and with his customary get away can be 1st to the pegs and look to control. He just faded the closing stages behind SPRINGBANK EDEN and will be gripping on again.

There are plenty that have claims for the minors in this with MATATOKI (5) in yet to miss a place since arriving in Qld including a win at this trip 2 starts back and ASTRAL RULER (1) looks set to get a great trip from the inside.

SELECTIONS: MAYBETOTHEMAX (10), DAENERYS STORMBORN (7), IVANOV (6), MATATOKI (5)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-5-7-10

RACE THREE

BEEF CITY STARZZZ (3) has been runner-up at al 3 career starts and has shown that he can run the gate. From this alley he can look to ping to the front and will be gripping on in search of career win number 1 before seasons end.

TAXI METER (9) was good late along the passing lane 3 starts back and then here last week there was plenty to like about how he finished the race off. Snagged back from gate 7 he was threading a passage to get within 2m of the winner. With a nice early trail he can be right in the fight.

MAKINMEFEELGOOD (2) went back early from gate 6 last start to find position as a red figure fav and tracked home fairly to grab the bronze. With further experience he can be around the mark.

TIMSTAR (10) did the hard yards here last start when cutting the breeze from gate 5 and fighting on gamely. He has no luxury from this alley but he will give a strong showing.

SELECTIONS: BEEF CITY STARZZZ (3), TAXI METER (9), MAKINMEFEELGOOD (2), TIMSTAR (10)
SUGGESTED BET: BEEF CITY STARZZZ (3) to win

RACE FOUR

THREO (4)
pressed forward from gate 5 last start in a conditioned event and once in control was able to dig in for the fight and hold off all challengers and break a long winless drought. He can take good confidence from the win and back to claiming company give this a shake.

SICILIAN SLUMBER (1) pressed on to lead them up here 3 starts back in a similar claiming event from gate 5 and went down swinging when grabbed late and beaten a neck. Not suited his past 2 when chasing, he lands the gate to look to dictate and will be gripping on.

FOURS ENUF TAS (7) has the widest gate, but can just float back early and let the speed unfold. He found the line nicely here 2 starts back after snagging back from gate 6 and the small field helps.

KARLOO MAC (2) lands his best gate for some time after facing a string of wide gates. He can look to slide in behind the early leader and with the cosy trip be ready to issue the closing challenge.

SELECTIONS: THREO (4), SICILIAN SLUMBER (1), FOURS ENUF TAS (7), KARLOO MAC (2)
SUGGESTED BET: THREO (4) to win

RACE FIVE

LEXUS ON THE BEACH (4) started fav last start from the 2nd line but was unable to work into the contest with THREO dictating in front. Prior to that he had been taking on Saturday night band events. Able to do some work, he can roll forward here and look to take a very open contest.

CULLEY BACKY (1) was due to go around in a final at Redcliffe on Friday night that was abandoned. He lands the perfect alley here and is starting to work towards a victory. His heat run in the Redcliffe series was a top effort when facing the breeze over the 2280m and fighting on. This is well within reach.

DIVAS DELIGHT (2) worked home in good order here last start to get within 3m of the winner THREO after starting from the 2nd line. His run 2 back was a solid effort from the breeze and he will fight hard again.

WATTLEBANK FLYER (6) was a Redcliffe winner 6 starts back and has been thereabouts in his 5 since. There looks to be some good pressure and tempo up front here which gives him a closing shot.

SELECTIONS: LEXUS ON THE BEACH (4), CULLEY BACKY (1), DIVAS DELIGHT (2), WATTLEBANK FLYER (6)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

TOO GOOD FOR YOU (9)
lines up for a hat-trick after scoring here twice in 2 days last week. Pressing ahead from gate 6 to find the front last start, he was never in danger to hold on for a 7m victory. His Tuesday win was a dominant effort and in an even line-up, he can look to land the threepeat.

REGAL ROCK (10) took the pocket trail here last start and took every inch of the passing lane to arrive for the win, scoring in the last stride. His Redcliffe win 4 starts back was a good effort when wide off the track, albeit in easier company. With the right trail he can throw down a challenge.

THE RAGNBONE MAN (2) moves to the outside gate after making an error last Thurs and ending his chances. His debut effort was a solid run when spearing out from gate 5 and grabbed on the line. If he gets it right he is right in the fight.

HAPPY FEELINGS (8) will need a slice of luck from this alley but with the cosy trip can look to find the openings and take the closing shot.

SELECTIONS: TOO GOOD FOR YOU (9), REGAL ROCK (10), THE RAGNBONE MAN (2), HAPPY FEELINGS (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 2-8-9-10

RACE SEVEN

OCEANS PREDATOR (1) wasn’t suited last start when forced to work wide in the run over the mile. His previous start was a better effort when 7m from the winner and 3 starts back from the 2nd line worked home well for the silver. From the improved gate with the options he looks to get his chance.

RIVERLEIGH ROCKET (3) is a slick beginner that can look to fire the first shot here to find the pegs. From gate 1 here 2 starts back he took the trail when 7m from NONE BETTOR and his run on Sat night was a nice effort from gate 10. He will give this a shake from the gate.

CHIRPY CHUCKLES (4) started from gate 2 on Fri night and may have been closer than the 7m margin if able to see space sooner. He found the line in good style 2 starts back from gate 11 and can be thereabouts again.

SIR JULIAN (7) is still searching for an elusive Qld victory and looked to get every chance 2 starts back when run-down from in front. His run On Sat night was a tidy effort, its just the gate that hurts here.

SELECTIONS: OCEANS PREDATOR (1), RIVERLEIGH ROCKET (2), CHIRPY CHUCKLES (4), SIR JULIAN (7)
SUGGESTED BET: OCEANS PREDATOR (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

PINUP BOY (10)
has been runner-up at his past 2 starts as the starting favourite. From gate 4 here last time he found the pegs and setting a strong tempo was grabbed in the closing stages by SMART CAMPAIGN to make it successive defeats to him. He is right in the fight once again.

TUESDAYS FELLA (4) made up for a pair of desperately unlucky Redcliffe performances when making his own luck in front here last start. Finding the pegs from gate 3 he controlled the speed and was able to get home in 27.7 to score. This is a slight rise but from the gate he can give this a shake.

BACK PAGE NEWS (9) will find this easier than his latest start when sent to the breeze from gate 5 when fading in the closing stages. His run at Newcastle 3 starts back was a sound effort from a wide gate and he can feature here.

OUR MEMPHIS MAC (2) was buried away on the pegs last start when holding on for the bronze at his 2nd start since arriving in Qld. He moves to the front line and with good early speed can look to be 1st to the pegs.

SELECTIONS: PINUP BOY (10), TUESDAYS FELLA (4), BACK PAGE NEWS (9), OUR MEMPHIS MAC (2)
SUGGESTED BET: Flexi Trifecta 2-4-9-10
