RACE TWO

CHARAS ACCENT (1) will be having just his 3rd career start and comes up with his best gate to date. Last start from gate 8 here he was sent to the pegs for an easy trip and didn’t get the cleanest run in transit. Forced to retreat when caught wide on debut, the improved gate is a huge plus here.

KIT KATS CHAT (9) is a 3YO filly on debut for Kylie Rasmussen that has been seen twice at the trials. By Lonestar Legend, she is the 1st foal out of the six-win mare Jewel Of Cheval. Both trials have been good, the latest here at Redcliffe against experienced campaigners suggests she can feature in this.

KAMEKONA (4) was buried away on the pegs last start from inside the 2nd line when hitting the line nicely in the closing stages to grab the bronze. Fitter after 2 runs back from a spell she can place.

FRANCO NEVAEH (6) started fav from gate 10 last start and was sent to the breeze mid-race and struck some trouble, finishing in 4th position. With the added fitness and experience he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: CHARAS ACCENT (1), KIT KATS CHAT (9), KAMEKONA (4), FRANCO NEVAEH (6)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

CLASSYTOFF (2) has started 3 times since returning from a spell with those 3 starts coming from gate 5 and the 2nd row twice. Her last run was sound from the running line and the return to the front line gate where she can look to use her great speed out of the machine gives her a great chance here.

THANKHEAVNFORGIRLS (1) looked to take them all the way last start and after running even panels for the opening half, couldn’t finish it off and faded the closing stages to be 9m from the winner GOALKICKER. Forced to race tough in the breeze the start prior, she can get a soft trip here.

OUR DOUG (8) hit the line nicely here 2 starts back to get within a neck of victory over the 1780m trip. Last time over the 2040m, the run had merit behind MONUMENTAL and he can be thereabouts.

NIKALONG HENRY (5) has a sticky gate to negotiate, yet he has been meeting much stronger opponents recently. With his last 2 behind SPEECH IS SILVER and LINCOLNS GIRL, he has claims.

SELECTIONS: CLASSYTOFF (2), THANKHEAVNFORGIRLS (1), OUR DOUG (8), NIKALONG HENRY (5)
SUGGESTED BET: CLASSYTOFF (2) to win

RACE FOUR

LETS DIG IT (7)
has been in nice touch and arrives here with wins at 3 of his past 5 outings. Settling in the pocket trail last start he made full use of the passing lane to arrive for a half-head victory. Not entirely suited from gate 9 2 starts back, he will be coiled and ready to strike when the gap arrives.

ROWDYS ACE (6) was in for the fight last start after rolling forward from gate 5 to face the breeze. Rolling the sleeves he was able to prevail for a 3m victory. Snagged back the start prior from the same gate, he can get forward here to apply some pressure and will be in for the fight.

CHASIN DREAMZ (1) made the most of conditions last start to take them all the way from gate 3, scoring a 4m victory. She steps it up here but has then benefit of the gate and will be gripping on.

TELL THE FUTURE (9) was best of the rest behind the big winner INDYS APPROVAL last start when claiming the silver. Not too far behind MONUMENTAL 2 starts back, she looks suited against these.

SELECTIONS: LETS DIG IT (7), ROWDYS ACE (6), CHASIN DREAMZ (1), TELL THE FUTURE (9)
SUGGESTED BET: LETS DIG IT (7) to win

RACE FIVE

MAJOR GENERALJUJON (1) started from gate 5 here 2 runs back and finding the 1x1 trail was able to finish over the top and claim a narrow victory. His run 3 back at AP over the mile was a tidy effort when 6m from the winner and again hit the line nicely last start. He can capitalise on the improved alley.

HAPPY FEELINGS (2) was in the pocket trail last start and waiting for the passing lane darted in but just couldn’t reel in the leader and winner BROADWATER. Grabbed up the passing lane the start prior when looking to lead all the way, her record here on the triangle is solid and she can go close.

BACK PAGE NEWS (7) was a winner here 4 starts back when leading throughout to claim a comfortable 3.5m victory. In the 3 starts since he hasn’t landed a marble and with a cosy trip here can chime in.

MONTANA CHIEF (4) returns from a freshen and lines up with a 50% top-three strike rate here at Redcliffe. His form has been solid from bad gates in recent starts and can be in the mix in this.

SELECTIONS: MAJOR GENERALJUJON (1), HAPPY FEELINGS (2), BACK PAGE NEWS (7), MONTANA CHIEF (4)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-4-7

RACE SIX

This race looms as a tricky contest to dissect with last start winner OUR UNCLE ALAN (10) banished to the outside draw for a barrier misdemeanour last start. Stepping out for Donny Smith for the 1st time he was too slick in scoring a 15m victory. His AP form was strong and this is within reach.

SACHE GIRL (1) was sent forward from gate 6 at AP 2 starts back and as able to find cover and then held on for the bronze over the mile behind TEARAWAY DIAMOND. Too far back last start from gate 11, she will have the options from the ace and with the improved alley can give this a shake.

SOULWRITER (6) has been freshened since her last appearance when finishing mid-field in a mares qualifier after looing to lead throughout. Her previous 3 were from the 2nd line and despite the gate she has claims.

SIR MACADOR (8) was 2nd up in Qld here last week and after settling in the 1x1 trail was pocketed and came wider when 6m from the winner. With better luck in transit, he can be in the mix.

SELECTIONS: OUR UNCLE ALAN (10), SACHE GIRL (1), SOULWRITER (6), SIR MACADOR (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

ELMAUR JOY (5) is racing in great touch and has been in the money at 4 of her past 5, with 2 of those victories here on the triangle. Working home wide off the track last start, she hit the line in good order to grab the bronze when within 2m of the winner BROADWATER. She is worth a ticket in this.

MATRON JUJON (2) made the most of the ace last start when keeping them wide to lead throughout over the 1780m trip, turning into a last panel scamper. Doing her share of work in the run here 2 starts back, this is a shade tougher but limiting the burn she is in the mix.

PROJECTILE (1) tried to work around them wide last start but with the tempo et form the front, couldn’t eat into the deficit. With the options from the good gate here, he can be sharper.

BIG IN AMERICA (7) was snagged back from gate 6 here last start and was strong to the line when 4m from the winner TASSINI. With an economical trip on offer, she can be taking a closing shot.

SELECTIONS: ELMAUR JOY (5), MATRON JUJON (2), PROJECTILE (1), BIG IN AMERICA (7)
SUGGESTED BET: ELMAUR JOY (5) each-way

RACE EIGHT

After making an error at his Qld debut, CARLOAD (3) has been forced to the outside draw at his past 2 starts, the latest when snagged back in the early stages and then hitting the line in good style to finish mid-field. Back into the main draw, he can look to capitalise and take control.

ELMS CREEK (1) started from inside the 2nd line last start and was dressed and ready to roll when the passing lane arrived. Diving in to take his shot, he couldn’t reel in the leader and winner TOPNOTCH MACH, beaten a half-neck. With a similar trip on offer, he will be ready to pull the trigger.

TROUBLESOME DAVE (2) has taken the bronze in 3 of his past 4 starts, the latest when hitting the line in good order from a long way back. With his best gate in recent starts, he can feature.

GREGS LEGACY (7) made a mess of things last start and lost all chance as a result. His run 2 starts back was full of merit when snagged back early and with the cheap trip here can chime in.

SELECTIONS: CARLOAD (3), ELMS CREEK (1), TROUBLESOME DAVE (2), GREGS LEGACY (7)
SUGGESTED BET: CARLOAD (3) to win

RACE NINE

RANDOM TASK (5) has been close to the money, taking home 2nd at 3 of his past 4 appearances. Rolling forward to the breeze from gate 6 last start, he was in for the fight and after putting the leader away had to settle for 2nd with the winner using the passing lane. He can out-tough them.

INVITE ONLY (8) is racing well without much luck on her side and a sustained run of tough barriers. From gate 10 she hit the line strongly 2 starts back when 2nd to FEEL THE REIGN and last start was tough in the breeze in a mares qualifier. With the right run in transit she can challenge.

MADAME LEZA (10) was sent to the breeze last start over the AP mile and faded in the latter stages when 12m from the winner. An all the way winner here 3 starts back, she can be thereabouts.

RAFFERTY DELIGHTS (1) resumes from a spell and lands the perfect gate for his pattern. Best when saved for a closing shot, he will get the perfect trip and can be ready to offer late in this.

SELECTIONS: RANDOM TASK (5), INVITE ONLY (8), MADAME LEZA (10), RAFFERTY DELIGHTS (1)
SUGGESTED BET: RANDOM TASK (5) to win
