RACE TWO

WITHALOTOFLUCK (8) started from the outside of the field last start in the FFA and after snagging back was always facing a task when the leader and winner ALLELUIA ripped home in 27.1. He found the line nicely the week prior behind FRANKIES ROCK and will be ready to take the snipers shot here.

REMEMBER THEM (1) was buried in the run last start over the mile and was strong to the line behind GANGSTER BOY. He has faced a string of wide and 2nd line gates in recent outings that aren’t his preferred pattern and with the return to the ace gate look for him attempting to dictate.

MATCH POINT (10) started from gate 5 at Redcliffe 2 runs back and after going back early weaved a passage to score a tidy victory. He made a stack of ground last week and will be swooping hard here.

YOUNG AMERICAN (3) used the passing lane to score at Redcliffe 2 starts back and then last outing was buried from the 2nd line when charging home. Settling handy from this gate he will be in the mix.

SELECTIONS: WITHALOTOFLUCK (8), REMEMBER THEM (1), MATCH POINT (10), YOUNG AMERICAN (3)
SUGGESTED BET: WITHALOTOFLUCK (8) to win

RACE THREE

SHARDS HALO (10) had been warming up to a win after 3 successive placed runs at Redcliffe when hitting the line strongly on each occasion. With the benefit of the pocket trail here last start behind a strong beginner, she angled to the outside in the stretch to score. With a solid tempo she can swoop.

EVERYTHING (1) had been plagued by some tough runs and luckless efforts leading in to a conditioned event here on Tuesday. Rolling to the front from gate 2 over the mile he made his own luck in holding to score by a half-neck. From the ace he will be looking to fight them all off.

MY ULTIMATE FELLA (2) started from inside the 2nd line last start and was soon buried 3 back on the markers which ended his hopes. A tough winner of a 2nd division qualifier 2 starts back he will ask the questions in this.

MISTER HART (8) has placed his past 2 starts from peg-line runs and with the inside 2nd line gate can look to continue that. He chased hard for 3rd to SHARDS HALO last week and will be probing.

SELECTIONS: SHARDS HALO (10), EVERYTHING (1), MY ULTIMATE FELLA (2), MISTER HART (8)
SUGGESTED BET: SHARDS HALO (10) to win

RACE FOUR

FRANCO TOTEM (5)
is much better suited on the spacious AP surface yet was still able to claim both a qualifier and a band 5 event at Redcliffe within a 4 start period. Both wins came when swooping home wide off the track. A late scratching when losing the driver in a scrimmage last week, he can bounce back.

LILAC FLASH (10) was after his 9th successive win last week when finishing mid-field as the fav. Taken back early from gate 6 he couldn’t work into it in the closing stages with GANGSTER BOY dictating in front. Despite another tough gate he can be looking to charge home late in this.

THE SPACE INVADER (1) has worked himself back into some form and has been top 3 at 5 of his past 6. A winner over the mile last Sat he backed it up with a mid-week 3rd to BODHI TREE. Threat.

UNDER WORKED (9) had no luck last start from gate 9 when taken back and looking for luck over the Menangle mile was 9m off the winner. He can secure a handy position from the gate and can place.

SELECTIONS: FRANCO TOTEM (5), LILAC FLASH (10), THE SPACE INVADER (1), UNDER WORKED (9)
SUGGESTED BET: FRANCO TOTEM (5) to win

RACE FIVE

MR KALYPSO (13) has been brutal since returning from a long break and last start racked up his 6th successive victory. Starting from the 2nd line he was off and around early and pressed on to the front to score at Redcliffe in a slick closing 400m split. This is his biggest test from the gate but he is oozing class and power.

RED CHARMER (1) will strip fitter from her return last week when chasing home well over this trip to grab the bronze when 9m from the winner OPONONIS BLISS. From the gate she will get a perfect trip and can be probing for the openings to issue her closing speed.

LINCOLN ROAD (4) will be 1st up in Australia for Alistair Barnes, with his last start coming against FFA performers when beaten a head by NO DOCTOR NEEDED. With 2 trials to prepare, the latest a sharp effort, he can be right in the mix.

DARKERSHADEOFPALE (9) won a mares qualifier here as a 3YO and was sent for a season ending break after the victory. Returning with a Menangle victory, her latest effort was a top effort when 3m from the InterDom bound VILLAGE WITCH. With even luck she is a big knockout hope

SELECTIONS: MR KALYPSO (13), RED CHARMER (1), LINCOLN ROAD (4), DARKERSHADEOFPALE (9)
SUGGESTED BET: MR KALYPSO (13) to win

RACE SIX

FAME ASSURED (13)
has no favours at her return to the track for the 4YO season, however she does return on a very loose assessment. Last start she took on the boys when holding on for 3rd in the Qld Derby and has opened the pipes with a tidy trial. She will need the right run but this is within reach.

ONE OFF (12) is yet to miss a placing since arriving in Aus and will be further tightened from his latest run when 2nd up from a freshen. His 1st up run was full of merit after striking trouble and last start was able to dictate for a strong all the way win. The gate hurts but he won’t be too far away.

GOLDEN YEAR (8) will need some favours in the run but if the gaps arrive with momentum he can be ready to strike. 1st up since joining the John McCarthy barn when 3rd from a wide gate at Newcastle, he has podium claims.

LISA LINCOLN (7) returns to start her 4YO term after being shut down following the Redcliffe Oaks. She took on some of the stronger 3YO events last term and with a pair of solid trials to prepare can feature in this.

SELECTIONS: FAME ASSURED (13), ONE OFF (12), GOLDEN YEAR (8), LISA LINCOLN (7)
SUGGESTED BET: FAME ASSURED (13) to win

RACE SEVEN

AZTEC BROMAC (3) returned from a spell in superb order to score over the 2300m trip at Menangle and followed that up with a career best win rate over the mile when closing out hard from back in the pack. 2 of his past 3 starts have been behind Inter Dominion bound runners and with the right run in transit can score another AP feature.

BODHI TREE (2) is racing consistently and over the mile here last week looked to have his chance in front when grabbed up the passing lane by THE SPACE INVADER. Taking on mid-week company here on Tues he was sent to the breeze and was too strong in the chair to put away MAJESTIC MAJOR in a slick closing panel. 1st to the pegs he will be gripping on.

THE SHADY ONE (11) returns from a successful Sydney campaign where he scored over the mile 3 starts back. His closing sectionals 2 runs back when 5m behind MATTGREGOR were brilliant in breaking 54 for the closing 800m. Look for him swooping home hard.

RAKAROLLA (8) was tracking home wide last start and hit the line in good order when 9m from MAJORDAN. That followed a 2nd to CELESTIAL ARDEN and while he will need plenty of luck in transit he won’t be too far away.

SELECTIONS: AZTEC BROMAC (3), BODHI TREE (2), THE SHADY ONE (11), RAKAROLLA (8)
SUGGESTED BET: AZTEC BROMAC (3) to win

RACE EIGHT

LIVING AGAIN (1)
settled in the 1x1 last start after having an early look for the front. With 500m to go the death horse was yielding which saw him angled wide and then loomed up only to nabbed by ELENIARK in the closing stages. With the options from this gate he will be mighty hard to stop.

CLINTAL DO (5) was 2nd up from a spell last week when he had no luck at all and was locked away when never having a shot at them. His 1st up run was top shelf when breaking the Armidale track record over the mile when scoring a 20m victory from the 2nd line. Look for him to bounce back.

LOTS MORE ART (8) makes his Qld debut for Trevor Lambourn and from the gate should get a perfect run in transit. Luckless last start at Menangle when probing for a run that never opened he will be searching for gaps again here.

FIOKI (12) aims up for the hat-trick after successive wins from poor gates. Last start over the mile he came with a well-judged run to arrive for a 3m victory. If the pace is on he will swoop late.

SELECTIONS: LIVING AGAIN (1), CLINTAL DO (5), LOTS MORE ART (8), FIOKI (12)
SUGGESTED BET: LIVING AGAIN (1) to win

RACE NINE

ELENIARK (6)
shoots for the hat-trick after successive wins since returning from a spell. Settling back in the pack last start she was angled wide on the home turn and showed a slick sprint that saw her arrive over the top to score. That followed a Redcliffe victory when 1st up and back to mares company looks too classy.

MANDY KRIDEN (9) started from gate 6 last start and was responsible for a big run when striking trouble but still closing out strongly to get within 4m of the winner ANNA BAY AL. A sharp winner 2 back at Redcliffe, the return to headquarters is a big plus and she will be right in the mix.

ZARAS DELIGHT (4) was taken back from gate 6 last start and found herself a long way back in the pack when looking to find space. That followed a tough run when 7m from the winner and with the ability to work in the run she will be fighting.

OUR AMERICAN PRINCESS (1) rolled forward in the early stages at Canberra last time out and once in control held on to score by a half-neck. With a cosy trip behind the speed she has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: ELENIARK (6), MANDY KRIDEN (9), ZARAS DELIGHT (4), OUR AMERICAN PRINCESS (1)
SUGGESTED BET: ELENIARK (6) to win

RACE TEN

COLT THIRTY ONE (2)
started his 4YO term in clinical fashion last week when scoring a 2m victory over the 2138m trip. Sent forward to the breeze in the early stages he packed too many guns to score in good order. Fitter from that following no trials to prepare, he should march away with this.

RICH VIRGIN (1) was a tough winner from the breeze at Redcliffe 2 starts back to claim a qualifying win. He followed that up with a tough run from the breeze to grab the silver when only a head from DARK ENERGY and from the gate he looks best positioned of the chasers behind the hot-pot.

SOMEROSESOMEWHERE (8) should enjoy a great run against the markers and when the straighten for home can look for the gaps to sprint hard.

SUBTLE DELIGHT (9) made an error last start yet was able to finish nicely when not far from LILAC FLASH. The pegs might be the place to be in this and angled down early can take the short-cuts.

SELECTIONS: COLT THIRTY ONE (2), RICH VIRGIN (1), SOMEROSESOMEWHERE (8), SUBTLE DELIGHT (9)
SUGGESTED BET: Flexi trifecta 2 / 1/ 8-9
