RACE TWO

MAJOR CURRENCY (10) will need to negotiate the 2nd line and some traffic, but he strikes a race here when he might just find it that little bit easier and gain some confidence. 6m from the winner MACHIN OUT last start, he was locked away and didn’t see space when needed 2 back. Just needs a rub of the green.

FEELINGFORAMIRACLE (3) was locked away on the inside last start and found them too hot as ZAHVEN BANNER dictated out in front. The start prior he found the front in a qualifier and looked to take them all the way when collared by TIN ROOF RAIDER. From the gate he is right in the fight.

COBALT BLUES (1) kept them all wide from this gate 3 starts back at Redcliffe before fading in the stretch and followed that with a passing lane win over the mile. With the cosy trip on offer, he can strike.

CAPTAIN COSMONAUT (4) had an early look from gate 6 last start before easing back to find position and holding on for the bronze behind TWITTER BROMAC. A winner here 3 back, he has claims.

SELECTIONS: MAJOR CURRENCY (10), FEELINGFORAMIRACLE (3), COBALT BLUES (1), CAPTAIN COSMONAUT (4)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-3-4-10

RACE THREE

NEWPORT DREAMZ (7) has the tough gate to overcome here, but shouldn’t find this any harder than whet he has been facing. Battling to get back to his best, he will strip fitter following his last start when returning from a spell and working hard in the breeze and fighting hard to be 7m in arrears. A tidy 2nd 2 starts back after a month between runs, he might just be able to squeeze this out.

RUNFORTHEROSES (3) was sent forward from the 2nd line last start and working to the chair was then able to prove too strong in claiming the prize. Too far back and chasing a solid tempo up front in a mares qualifier the start prior, she can be in the mix again here.

GOALKICKER (4) led them up last start in a mares qualifier over the 2138m and was grabbed on the line in a blanket finish when 5th but under 2m from the winner. Never far away, she can feature.

TEARAWAY DIAMOND (12) will need some factors in his favour from the tough gate, but if the tempo is too slick, he can capitalise. Wide for a long way last start at Marburg, he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: NEWPORT DREAMZ (7), RUNFORTHEROSES (3), GOALKICKER (4), TEARAWAY DIAMOND (12)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

Never easy to sort out, these claiming races invariably throw up a different winner and this time the race looks the chance for COMPLY OR DIE (3) to bounce back to winning form. Not suited when forced to breeze last time, he was only collared on the line 2 starts back. He will be gripping on.

MAKE MINE JOE (9) hasn’t had much go right at his past 2 starts, the latest when attacking the line sharply the closing stages after finding himself 4 back on the poles from inside the 2nd line. His start prior was a similarly luckless effort and with better luck can be well positioned to challenge here.

KARLOO MAC (4) has placed at his past 2 starts at Redcliffe when taking on conditioned races. His last effort was sound when runner-up over the 2040m and with the right trip he can place again.

RORY MACH (7) has the wide gate but should appreciate the return to the claiming ranks after meeting stronger types at his past 5. Effective when saved for a closing shot, look for him swooping.

SELECTIONS: COMPLY OR DIE (3), MAKE MINE JOE (9), KARLOO MAC (4), RORY MACH (7)
SUGGESTED BET: COMPLY OR DIE (3) to win

RACE FIVE

CASINO TOMMY (6) was forced to roll the sleeves and dig in for the fight from the breeze last start in a small field over this trip when starting fav. Only fading in the closing stages, it was a brave effort that had followed 3 successive placed runs. The gate hurts, but he should find this a shade easier.

TOMMY UNDER FIRE (7) has a mortgage on the black saddlecloth and will line up for the 5th time in succession from the 7. Eased back last start, he couldn’t work into the contest from a long way back. That followed a last when striking early trouble. The small field helps and he can be sharper here.

HARD TO HEAR (3) was wide off the track last start from gate 6 when down the line behind AINTNOBETTOR. Not suited from gate 7 the start prior, the improved gate is a big help in this.

AINTNOBETTOR (5) was locked away from inside the 2nd line last start and looked to be facing a huge task. Not shirking said task, he attacked the line with venom in claiming the prize. Despite a sticky gate, he is right in this.

SELECTIONS: CASINO TOMMY (6), TOMMY UNDER FIRE (7), HARD TO HEAR (3), AINTNOBETTOR (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

BLACKSADANCE (4) had been besieged by terrible luck since returning for his 3YO campaign and continued to catch the eye after striking trouble and charging home in his races. Capitalising last start from an improved gate, he made his own luck and was too strong. He can back it up here.

MEGA STAR (6) returns from a spell and faces a tricky gate 1st up. A winner 2 starts back at Redcliffe when hitting the line nicely from gate 5, he was put away after the Triad Final when finishing mid-field behind EXPENSIVE EGO. He has trialled well against older horses and can feature 1st up.

ALSJEANSMAXSSTAR (3) has been freshened since his last appearance when breaking his maiden status at the 11th attempt. Placed in 8 starts prior to that victory, he won’t be too far way here.

IAM THE JOKER (7) has no favours from this alley, yet he has been in nice touch since arriving gin Qld. After a hat-trick of wins last start when grabbed near the line, he can feature again here.

SELECTIONS: BLACKSADANCE (4), MEGA STAR (6), ALSJEANSMAXSSTAR (3), IAM THE JOKER (7)
SUGGESTED BET: BLACKSADANCE (4) to win

RACE SEVEN

MISS RUBY SUNSHINE (6) could not have been any more impressive than her Aus debut here last time out when scoring an emphatic victory. Pressing forward to take control from gate 4, she kept the tempo up in cruising home to a 10m margin. Fitter for the run, she can repeat the dose here.

ROLL WITH NIKE (1) has started from the 2nd line at his past 4 in succession and with the peg-line benefits from the ace can be sharper in this. Working home wide off the track for the bronze last start at Redcliffe, he has the early speed to dictate his position.

REMEMBER ME NOW (3) returns from a break to start his 3YO season after a handy 2YO term that netted a win and 3 minors in 4 outings. With a pair of trials to open the pipes, he is in the mix.

ZARAS ALL GOOD (5) will be tightened from her latest start when returning from a spell. From inside the 2nd line she was able to grab the silver and with even luck from this gate has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: MISS RUBY SUNSHINE (6), ROLL WITH NIKE (1), REMEMBER ME NOW (3), ZARAS ALL GOOD (5)
SUGGESTED BET: MISS RUBY SUNSHINE (6) to win

RACE EIGHT

TAKE IN THE GOLD (6) returns from a spell to kick-off his 3YO season after a three-start term at 2YO when placed twice. Put away after making an error in the Redcliffe Sales Final claimed by GOVERNOR JUJON, he has been to the trials 3 times to prepare and strikes a winnable race 1st up.

CHEESANDKISSES (3) is still chasing a maiden breaking victory after being runner-up in 4 of 8 career starts. Last start she was hitting the line in nice style after retreating early from gate 6 before winding up to be 6m from the winner RUNFORTHEROSES. Back to maiden company is a big plus.

NAUGHTYINHEAVEN (2) returns from a spell and steps out for the Tony Turpin operation for the 1st time. Placed here 3 starts back, she has prepared with a steady trial and stays under notice here.

GLENEAGLE WARRIOR (7) has no favours from the tough gate after sent to be an ODM runner from his most recent start. That was a sound effort under the circumstances and he has rough claims.

SELECTIONS: TAKE IN THE GOLD (6), CHEESANDKISSES (3), NAUGHTYINHEAVEN (2), GLENEAGLE WARRIOR (7)
SUGGESTED BET: TAKE IN THE GOLD (6) to win
