RACE TWO

COREY WILLIAM (7) will be fitter following 2 runs back from a break with both runs coming from wide 2nd line gates. He found the line in good order 1st up when mid-field to SABRAGE and last start was locked away. Better suited at the mile, he might just be able to torch them early and dictate.

HARD TO HEAR (10) is racing in good touch and last start didn’t have much go his way when having an early look but the challenge was repelled and thereafter he didn’t see any space to challenge. His previous 2 were form wide gates and with the right position in transit, he can swoop late.

HES NOVAK (1) was back in the pack from gate 10 at Redcliffe last start and when making a wide and searching run went within a half-neck of the prize. With the soft trip on offer here, he will probe.

AMILLION PROMISES (12) eased back from gate 6 last start and was a long way back in the pack when trying to make a challenge. Only beaten a pimple here 3 starts back, he can chime in late.

SELECTIONS: COREY WILLIAM (7), HARD TO HEAR (10), HES NOVAK (1), AMILLION PROMISES (12)
SUGGESTED BET: HARD TO HEAR (10) each-way

RACE THREE

PRETTYINTHEOUTBACK (2) earns her redemption ticket back to the main draw following an indiscretion and that could prove to be a winning ticket in this. Taking a maiden here 4 starts back when too strong in the breeze, her run 2 back was luckless and she can make her own luck here.

ALBION ARK (9) will take benefit from his 1st up run last time out after returning from a spell without a trial to prepare. Settling back in the pack, he closed out in good order behind REMEMBER ME NOW. With an early trail through the pack to settle handy, he can throw down a big challenge.

HIGH ON MONTANA (10) made an error last start and was banished to the trials, despite finding the line nicely to grab the silver. The 2nd line hurts, but with the right trip he can chime in late here.

CANDYFLOSS (3) should appreciate the improved gate after facing wide alleys in 2 runs back from a spell. Luckless 1st up, she wasn’t far away last time and can be in the mix here.

SELECTIONS: PRETTYINTHEOUTBACK (2), ALBION ARK (9), HIGH ON MONTANA (10), CANDYFLOSS (3)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

SIR TIGER (9)
has been kept fresh since his last appearance when starting from this gate over this trip. Forced to go 3-wide at the 600m when the breeze horse wilted, he just lost momentum when darting in for a breather behind the winner. A winner here 4 back when 1st up in Qld, he can bounce back.

LIVING GRAND (11) hustled hard to protect the poles here last Friday night and was able to keep them all wide. Keeping the tempo on throughout, he fought then off in the stretch to claim a narrow victory in a PB 1.54.2 mile. He will be wide here but can be powering into the contest.

MISTER REBBILY (1) has placed in all 3 runs this prep since returning for his 3YO term. Forced to race tough last start, he was game in holding on for the silver. Off the ace, he can give this a shake.

JILLIBY JACKPOT (10) made the most of securing the pocket trail last start and once he was angled into the passing lane, packed too many guns to score. With the right cart home, he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: SIR TIGER (9), LIVING GRAND (11), MISTER REBBILY (1), JILLIBY JACKPOT (10)
SUGGESTED BET: SIR TIGER (9) to win

RACE FIVE

CAPTAIN COSMONAUT (10) started from gate 4 last start when sent to the post as fav. Settling in the 1x1 trail, he loomed up but couldn’t get past FEELINGFORAMIRACLE to take the silver. A winner in a 2nd division qualifier 4 starts back when charging home, he can work over the top again here.

JOANNIES GIRL (3) scored a tidy win here 3 starts back when packing too many closing guns via the passing lane. Only 5m in arrears over this trip last start when trying to find a passage in the stretch, she can settle handy from this alley here and can throw down the challenge.

ONLY IN ROME (12) was finding the line strongly last start when grabbing the bronze and only 1.5m from the winner LIVING GRAND. Runner-up the start prior, he will be swooping late again here.

NEWPORT DREAMZ (1) eased back from gate 7 last start and was a long way off them, never really getting into the contest. With the big gate switch, he will be more forward, but the 2138m is a query.

SELECTIONS: CAPTAIN COSMONAUT (10), JOANNIES GIRL (3), ONLY IN ROME (12), NEWPORT DREAMZ (1)
SUGGESTED BET: CAPTAIN COSMONAUT (10) to win

RACE SIX

AQUA MISS (8) will strip fitter following her latest start when resuming from a spell without a public trial to prepare. Taking on a Sat night mares event, she was sound to the line behind BALLERINA COURU. With early options as the lone 2nd line runner, she looks to get her chance here.

IM NORMA JEAN (1) made the most of this gate over the mile 2 starts back and was able to take them all the way in scoring her 14th AP victory. Grabbed in the closing stages from the front last start, the 2138m has always proved tough for her, but with the early options, she is right in this.

FEELINGFORAMIRACLE (3) worked across from this gate over the mile last start and taking control was able to see it out for a 1m victory. Grabbed late when leading over this trip 3 back, he can place.

MACHIN OUT (4) made the most of the cheap ride in the trail over the mile 2 starts back and finished best to take the prize. Beaten by the gate last start, he can be chiming in here.

SELECTIONS: AQUA MISS (8), IM NORMA JEAN (1), FEELINGFORAMIRACLE (3), MACHIN OUT (4)
SUGGESTED BET: AQUA MISS (8) to win

RACE SEVEN

MISS RUBY SUNSHINE (11) could not have been any more impressive than her Aus debut here last time out when scoring an emphatic victory. Pressing forward to take control from gate 4, she kept the tempo up in cruising home to a 10m margin. Fitter for the run, she can overcome the gate here.

BLACKSADANCE (7) had been besieged by terrible luck since returning for his 3YO campaign and last week was a scratching owing to bushfires close to the Turpin property, just to prove what his luck has been like. Capitalising last start from an improved gate to score, Friday the 13th might be right up his bad luck alley.

MEGA STAR (10) worked home in good order to grab the silver last start when returning for his 3YO campaign. Winning 2 starts back, he was mid-field in the Triad Final and will be fitter again here.

TAKE IN THE GOLD (1) was 1st up here last week when getting within a head of the winner. Trialling in good order for the return, he will strip fitter and with the improved gate is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: MISS RUBY SUNSHINE (11), BLACKSADANCE (7), MEGA STAR (10), TAKE IN THE GOLD (1)
SUGGESTED BET: MISS RUBY SUNSHINE (11) to win

RACE EIGHT

SIXPENNY RED (6) has been dealing with some tough barriers and while she again doesn’t have any favours in the green rug, she might just have enough of an edge over her opponents to prevail here. Fighting hard from this same gate last start when cutting the breeze, she can grind it out to score.

BEEF CITY STARZZZ (10) backs up from Tues where he went to the pegs looking for short-cuts when down the line behind JAMIES BAD BOY as the race turned into a last stanza scamper. He made a mess of things 3 starts back that saw the ODM ticket applied, but he can still work home well here.

DANCING IN MANOLOS (2) didn’t have things go to plan last start at Tamworth when officially last, but not too far away under the circumstances. 3rd here 5 starts back from the trail, she can repeat.

LIVING FREE (9) secured the pocket trail from inside the 2nd line at Marburg last start and when angled into space in the stretch grabbed the bronze. With the right trail through he can place here.

SELECTIONS: SIXPENNY RED (6), BEEF CITY STARZZZ (10), DANCING IN MANOLOS (2), LIVING FREE (9)
SUGGESTED BET: SIXPENNY RED (6) to win
