RACE TWO

ZARAS HEAVEN (2) has faced the starter twice since arriving in Qld off the back of a 9-month break and has landed a win and a 2nd from the 2 outings. Taking them all the way 1st up, she was wide in working forward and fought hard for the silver. With the improved gate and back to mares only, she looks to get her chance.

KIT KATS CHAT (4) eased back from gate 6 last start and went to the pegs for the short-cuts. Working home in nice style weaving a passage, it was a sound run as she continues to hone her craft. 2nd here 4 starts back from gate 5, finding position cheaply will be key to her chances in this.

TORQUE IS MY GIRL (5) was a winner here 2 starts back when packing too many guns in the closing stages to arrive for a 2m victory. Covering plenty of ground last start, look for her swooping late.

BERTILS DELIGHT (1) made the most of this gate last start to score an all the way victory over this trip. With the peg-line benefits, she can chime into the money again against her own sex.

SELECTIONS: ZARAS HEAVEN (2), KIT KATS CHAT (4), TORQUE IS MY GIRL (5), BERTILS DELIGHT (1)
SUGGESTED BET: ZARAS HEAVEN (2) to win

RACE THREE

This race shapes as a tricky little contest for a Wed night as the 1st heat for next Wednesday night’s final. Shooting for a hat-trick LITTLE BOLT (5) has returned this campaign in top order and last start took them all the way over this trip. That followed a passing lane win and 3 back was only beaten a half-head when nabbed right on the wire. The gate hurts, but the threepeat Is achievable.

HEEZ PERFECT (4) has had plenty of troubles in his career and returns for another campaign after starting 4 times last prep. A winner 1st up after 14 months that time, he has been to the trials twice to prepare for another return to the track, with both smart performances. He cannot be overlooked.

WHERES THE SPIRIT (8) did his share of work over the 2138m last start and was in for the fight when 6m from the winner SEA HAWKE. Locked away along way back 2 starts back, he can swoop late here.

SHERIFF JUJON (6) resumes from a spell and will shot for a hat-trick after wins at the 2040m and 1780m at his past 2 starts. Fitness could be a concern here being 1st up since July without a public trial, but he stays under notice.

SELECTIONS: LITTLE BOLT (5), HEEZ PERFECT (4), WHERES THE SPIRIT (8), SHERIFF JUJON (6)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 4-5-6-8

RACE FOUR

TODAYS HERO (4)
with a handy strike-rate of a top-three in 70% of his 16 appearances, 4 of those being victory, the last start winner gets into this race nicely under the conditions. Settling in the pocket trail over the AP mile last start, he beat a much tougher field with the closing shot. A three-time winner here on the triangle, he is the one to beat.

MY CARMEN (1) has her convictions and last start was banished to the trials after making an error. Spearing out from gate 4 she looked set to cross to the pegs before jumping it off into the 1st turn. It was a top effort under the circumstances to be 9m away after resetting and if she gets it right, is a big player here.

COMMODORE JUJON (8) has been in superb touch this campaign with 3 wins and a 2nd in 4 outings, all here at Redcliffe. Finishing over the top last start from this gate, he will be right in the fight again.

MISS KEESHA (3) started fav last time out from gate 1 and put in a shocker. That was off the back of a real eye-catcher when 2nd to SENORA RAPIDO in a mares qualifier and she can be sharper.

SELECTIONS: TODAYS HERO (4), MY CARMEN (1), COMMODORE JUJON (8), MISS KEESHA (3)
SUGGESTED BET: TODAYS HERO (4) to win

RACE FIVE

Fitter following 2 runs back from a spell NIFTY STUDLEIGH (5) should also appreciate the class of his opposition here. Wide and forced to retreat when unable to find position 1st up, he was locked away when 6m from the winner SEA HAWKE last time. The wide gate is a stinger, but he can overcome it.

RANCHO MAN (9) was a smart winner at Marburg 3 starts back when making an early move to the breeze before cover arrived and then finished best to score. Only 8m from SPEECHCRAFT last start over the 1780m, he has placed in 4 from 8 here on the triangle and can be powering home in this.

TASCOTT LADY (1) was a tidy winner 1st up from a break when leading all the way over the sprint trip. Doing some early work last start when mid-field, the inside gate helps her chances here.

LETHAL STAR (7) took on a mares contest last start and was wide to the breeze from gate 9 and fought hard to the line. Not far away 2 starts back, she will get a soft trip and can probe late.

SELECTIONS: NIFTY STUDLEIGH (5), RANCHO MAN (9), TASCOTT LADY (1), LETHAL STAR (7)
SUGGESTED BET: NIFTY STUDLEIGH (5) to win

RACE SIX

SPECIAL RESERVE (1) showed some grit last start to roll forward from gate 6 over this trip and grinding away outside the leader, packed too many guns in claiming a 5m victory. Runner-up the start prior behind the in-form LATE NIGHT DATE, from the ace she looks to get every chance.

MONTANA EXPRESS (6) eased back from gate 6 last time out and was a long way back in the pack before working into it wide out to grab the silver. He found the line nicely the start prior over the AP mile and despite the wide gate as a result of his manners, he can look to offer a challenge here.

BE ON THE SLY (4) settled one out two back from gate 5 last start and was doing his best work near the line to sneak into the money, grabbing 3rd. Finding early position will be key to his chances here.

CANNAN (8) faces some tougher opponents here but receives the off-set of the likelihood of a cheap run behind the likely leader. Breaking his maiden 2 starts back, he can chime into the exotics.

SELECTIONS: SPECIAL RESERVE (1), MONTANA EXPRESS (6), BE ON THE SLY (4), CANNAN (8)
SUGGESTED BET: SPECIAL RESERVE (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

RUATO BAY (7) will need some factors in his favour here, but if the luck falls his way, he can be ready to take the closing shot. Facing gate 6 over the AP mile at his past 2 starts, he has been working home well in each after retreating early. With the soft trip he can be ready to strike.

MONTANA CHIEF (3) was luckless at Marburg on Sunday from the 2nd line when he was strung up in traffic and never had a shot at them at any stage when only 5m in arrears. He found ZAHVEN BANNER to slick 2 starts back and 3 back was again devoid of luck. He can turn it around here.

STORMONT STAR (1) pressed on from gate 5 last start over the AP mile and had to roll the sleeves in the breeze as the race fav before fading out. This is his best gate for some time and he can capitalise.

GRIZZLY MONTANA (10) took on a conditioned race last start and from inside the 2nd line was soon away from the pegs and proved too strong wide off the track. He is in the mix again here.

SELECTIONS: RUATO BAY (7), MONTANA CHIEF (3), STORMONT STAR (1), GRIZZLY MONTANA (10)
SUGGESTED BET: RUATO BAY (7) to win

RACE EIGHT

BELLA GODIVA (3) has been around the mark this season with a top-3 in 3 of her 4 appearances. 2 starts back she was hitting he line in nice order behind ZARAS HEAVEN and last start was again closing well for the silver. This looks ideal with the big bonus of her 1st front line gate this campaign.

ELSIES GIRL (1) worked forward from gate 5 last start and ended up forced to race tough in the breeze. Fading the closing stages under the workload, the effort was sound and had followed a luckless run when 2nd up. Finding maiden company for the 1st time in her career will suit.

OURS TO KEEP (5) will appreciate this after a handy 3rd at her race debut last start. Sitting in the pocket trail, she was only 4m away via the passing lane and can be thereabouts again here.

IM SANDY BAY (10) covered plenty of the triangle last start when wide out for a good portion of the 1780m. Fighting on soundly under the effort, she can be working home well again in this.

SELECTIONS: BELLA GODIVA (3), ELSIES GIRL (1), OURS TO KEEP (5), IM SANDY BAY (10)
SUGGESTED BET:
