Racing Queensland confirms that following consultation with Lockyer Valley TC, QRIC, Australian Trainers Association and Queensland Jockeys Association, the race meeting at Lockyer (Gatton) on Friday 6 December has been rescheduled to Monday 9 December.
The decision has been made in the interests of human & equine welfare given the extreme heat which is predicted for the region on Friday.
With the rescheduling of the race meeting, nominations previously made (when it was originally programmed for Friday) are now null & void & the new race meeting’s deadlines are as follows:
Nominations: Close Wednesday 4 December at 11:00am
Weights: Declared Wednesday 4 December
Acceptances: Due Thursday 5 December at 11:00am
All other details pertaining to the race meeting remain as were previously published (for the 6 December meeting).
Trainers are also reminded that under the auspices of Rule LR.37, there is the opportunity to nominate horses for other race meetings for which the acceptance deadline has not yet expired.
