RACE TWO

SLICE OF HEAVEN (7) started from the 2nd row last start when sent to the post as fav and leading up the three-wide train with plenty of power getting the cart up from him, was able to hold them off to score a strong win. He has been in great form since returning this season and this looks his to take.

FRANCO TARIQ (6) has no favours from the wider gate here but his run on Sat night was a tidy effort when working home in good order from well back. The smaller field suits and he has podium claims.

THE SPACE INVADER (3) found the 1x1 trail on Sat night but couldn’t go with them as GLENFERRIE HOOD dictated from the front. This type of race looks to suit and from the good gate he can feature.

SELECTIONS: SLICE OF HEAVEN (7), FRANCO TARIQ (6), THE SPACE INVADER (3)
SUGGESTED BET: SLICE OF HEAVEN (7) to win

RACE THREE

PARAVANI (1) was looking to stay undefeated in Aus last start when taking on a Rising Stars heat. Starting from the 2nd line he was well back when trying to work home wide out and wasn’t disgraced behind FAME ASSURED. Back to gate 1 he looks mighty hard to stop making it 3 from 4.

TUESDAYS FELLA (5) started from gate 11 last start over the 2138m trip and in a race where noting came on from back in the pack didn’t feature. Grabbed late in a Golden Guitar heat 2 starts back, a front line gate and back to the mile looks to be in his favour and he can be sharper in this.

PINUP BOY (7) has no favours from the wide gate but if able to find a position cheaply he can land in the money. A passing lane winner last start over the 2138m trip, he can look to close out hard here.

JACKS AT THE BEACH (6) made the most of his chances at Redcliffe 2 starts back when rolling to the front and scoring a comfortable win over the 2040m trip. Grabbed by PINUP BOY last start he will be in for the fight.

SELECTIONS: PARAVANI (1), TUESDAYS FELLA (5), PINUP BOY (7), JACKS AT THE BEACH (6)
SUGGESTED BET: PARAVANI (1) to win

RACE FOUR

MR KALYPSO (1)
was returning from a spell here last week when looking to keep his Qld record of 7 wins from 7 starts in place. Sitting back in the pack over the 2138m trip he took a while to wind up and couldn’t find the podium, finishing only 2m from the winner. Tightened from that he can atone.

ILLAWONG DREAMTIME (4) started from gate 7 last start and was snagged back early to find position. Working into the contest strongly wide off the track he was attacking the line and was only a half-neck from the winner. With good early speed he can find position and can feature here.

SWITOWSKI (3) makes his Qld debut for Ryan Veivers after being claimed from Menangle at his last start when beaten 3.5m behind HES OKEY DOKEY. A strong claiming winner 2 back he can place.

LOTS MORE ART (6) has a tricky gate but was strong to the line last start after snagging back to find position from this same gate. Fitter following 2 runs back from a freshen he can chime into the exotics.

SELECTIONS: MR KALYPSO (1), ILLAWONG DREAMTIME (4), SWITOWSKI (3), LOTS MORE ART (6)
SUGGESTED BET: MR KALYPSO (1) to win

RACE FIVE

TUAPEKA LIGHT (4) makes her Qld and Aus debut for Kylie Rasmussen and arrives with 4 career starts in her Kiwi homeland. Looking for a maiden breaking win, she has been to the trials twice to prepare and looked good in each hit-out. In a tricky little race to line up, she can make a successful debut.

ESCALERA (5) returns from a spell and was last seen in his 2YO term when completing a hat-trick of victories. 2 of those victories came from gate 7 when working home strongly to arrive for the prize. Given 1 trial to prepare for the return, he wasn’t asked for much but stays under watch here.

IM NO OUTLAW (7) faces the starter for just the 2nd time and returns from a spell. A beaten fav on debut, the run still had merit when 3m from the winner. Sharpened with a smart trial he has claims.

SPECIAL RESERVE (3) led every step bar the post here last start when grabbed on the line by MISS BLUE GLORY. Still searching for her 1st win as a 3YO, she has been runner-up in 3 of her last 4.

SELECTIONS: TUAPEKA LIGHT (4), ESCALERA (5), IM NO OUTLAW (7), SPECIAL RESERVE (3)
SUGGESTED BET: TUAPEKA LIGHT (4) to win

RACE SIX

BOULDER CITY (2)
will take good benefit from his last start victory when 3rd up from a break and having his 1st start since transferring to the Wayne Graham barn. Sent straight to the front from gate 3 he cruised home to a strong win with 13m to spare. With his early speed he can look to dictate.

MISS BLUE GLORY (7) turned it around last start and following some well beaten outings since arriving from NZ proved too strong. Rolling forward from gate 7 over the 2138m trip she was content to cut the breeze and packed too many guns in a 27.5 closer to score. She can back it up again here.

BRIAN WHO (5) resumes from a freshen after being banished to the trials at his 1st up run in late December. His latest trial was a sharp effort when closing out in good order and he can bob up here.

MACH TORQUE (1) has placed at her past 5 in succession with the latest a 3rd to the handy LEFT A TERROR. Less than 2m from the winner from this gate 2 starts back she has podium claims again.

SELECTIONS: BOULDER CITY (2), MISS BLUE GLORY (7), BRIAN WHO (5), MACH TORQUE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: BOULDER CITY (2) to win

RACE SEVEN

TOM ME GUN (6) is racing in great touch and was narrowly beaten last start after being forced to do all the work over the 2138m he was nabbed up the passing lane. Too sharp in front here 2 starts back over the mile and holding a comfortable 7m victory, he can loo to get forward and can take this.

SPRING CAMPAIGN (2) resumes from a spell and comes into this without the benefit of a public trial. Finding the front from gate 5 at Redcliffe last start he was grabbed in the closing stages after setting a slick tempo. He can settle handy from the gate and with 4 wins from 5 starts here at AP can feature.

TELL THE LINESMEN (1) pressed ahead from gate 3 over the Redcliffe 2040m trip last start and once finding the pegs was never in danger. A big winner 3 starts back, he will be in for the fight.

ONLY ONE PROMISE (4) did his share of work wide off the track when getting forward to the breeze and then fought gamely for 2nd at Redcliffe 2 starts back. Holding on to score by a neck from the breeze here last week, he has claims.

SELECTIONS: TOM ME GUN (6), SPRING CAMPAIGN (2), TELL THE LINESMEN (1), ONLY ONE PROMISE (4)
SUGGESTED BET: TOM ME GUN (6) to win

RACE EIGHT

GOALKICKER (1)
found running line position over this trip last start and was strong to the line when under 10m from the winner. Her run 2 back was full of merit when striking trouble in the run and then finding the pegs she closed out well. With good early speed she has the options to take the prize.

MUCH BETTOR (2) resumes from a break after a Sydney trip that was highlighted with a 2125m victory at Penrith. Run down in front last start over the Menangle mile after setting a strong tempo, he comes into this without a trial but with a tidy record of 4 wins from 10 starts can feature here.

REGAL ROCK (8) chased gamely here 2 starts back but was unable to reel in the winner when 2m in arrears. Making the most of gate 1 last stat he was able to dictate in a steady rate over the 2138m. He will get the cosy trip to podium in this.

OASIS DREAM (3) was too far back trying to make ground last start when none of those back in the pack were making an impression. A strong 3rd over the mile 2 starts back, he is in the mix here.

SELECTIONS: GOALKICKER (1), MUCH BETTOR (2), REGAL ROCK (8), OASIS DREAM (3)
SUGGESTED BET: GOALKICKER (1) to win

RACE NINE

NEWPORT DREAMZ (9)
started from gate 11 last start over the 2138m trip and was closing out strongly to get within a head of the winner. That followed a strong win at the mile when resuming from a spell and returning to the mile here can follow through early and look to finish over the top.

JUST DEAL IT (3) was sent forward from the 2nd line last start and working to the breeze proved too strong in scoring in good style. Her run 2 starts back was a tidy effort against some handy opponents and with 2 wins from just 4 starts, she will be in for the fight here.

ULTIMATE RISK (1) resumes from a spell after taking on a strong mares qualifier at her last start. Fading out badly in that contest, it had followed an all the way win over the mile. With the options from the gate she can find the podium.

ELMAUR JOY (8) looked to take them all the way last start over the mile when finding the front and took every bit of the stretch for her to be run down. With a cosy trip she can chime into the exotics.

SELECTIONS: NEWPORT DREAMZ (9), JUST DEAL IT (3), ULTIMATE RISK (1), ELMAUR JOY (8)
SUGGESTED BET: NEWPORT DREAMZ (9) to win
