RACE TWO

BLADE (3) was 2nd up in Qld last start when settling in the 1x1 in transit over the sprint trip. With a slick tempo being set, he closed out in good order to grab the bronze behind the passing lane winner THREE MUGS IN. With excellent speed out of the machine, he looks set to open his Qld account.

GOTTA MOMENT (1) was locked away 3 back along the poles here 3 starts back and when the gap opened, sprinted hard to grab a smart win over the 2138m trip. Plain at his next start, he bounced back last start when hitting the line nicely for 2nd to MACEY JAYDE. He will be probing for gaps.

DOUBLE OR NOTHING (5) steps up to qualifying company as a 3YO, yet his efforts since arriving in Qld have been solid. Runner-up at his past 2 starts, the latest when only beaten a neck behind THATS HOW WEROLL, he will be right in the fight here.

KILLARA KAOS (9) grabbed the silver here 2 starts back when 4m from the winner. Missing a place from the pocket trail as a red figure fav last start, he can chime into the money here.

SELECTIONS: BLADE (3), GOTTA MOMENT (1), DOUBLE OR NOTHING (5), KILLARA KAOS (9)
SUGGESTED BET: BLADE (3) to win

RACE THREE

THATS HOW WEROLL (2) has found his mojo and shoots for a hat-trick of victories. A mid-week winner from the 2nd line here on Tues when sprinting best to stake a new career PB rate, he took them all the way in a qualifier 2 starts back. Securing early position cheaply, he can make the closing shot a winner.

THATSWHATISAID (6) will be fitter from his return to the track last start when leading them up from gate 2 and nabbed on the wire to be a head away from the winners cheque. Trialling nicely in preparation for his return, he can get the skates on out of the machine when required and looms as a danger in this.

RANDOM TASK (1) was crossed from this gate 3 starts back in a qualifier but was still able to extricate into space and swoop home to score. Driven hard to lead from gate 4 last start, the first 200m will be all important.

BIG BANG LEONARD (11) added another minor to his tally last start when sent to the breeze from gate 7. Effective when saved for the swoopers shot, there will be good tempo here to give him a chance in this.

SELECTIONS: THATS HOW WEROLL (2), THATSWHATISAID (6), RANDOM TASK (1), BIG BANG LEONARD (11)
SUGGESTED BET: THATS HOW WEROLL (2) to win

RACE FOUR

LIFES BLACK (11)
will be further tightened from his latest start when 2nd up this campaign. Wide off the track from gate 6 over the Redcliffe 2040m at his return, there was plenty to like in the effort. Forced to race tough in the breeze last start when 3rd, he has the tough gate here but has the class.

MAJOR LUCKY (1) claimed a 2nd division qualifier 3 starts back over this trip when leading them all the way and cruising home to an 8m victory. Following that with a mid-field finish after the price for the lead over the mile was a sub 27 sec opening panel, he has the peg-line benefits once again.

CONDAFEW (12) backs up from Redcliffe on Thursday where he looked a good chance. Luckless here last Sat night when he just lost momentum at a vital stage and was still only 1.5m away, look for him charging home.

LUCKY UNLUCKY (6) gets into this contest nicely and will be further tightened after 3 runs back in Qld following a let-up. 4m away in claiming the bronze last start, he can throw down a challenge.

SELECTIONS: LIFES BLACK (11), MAJOR LUCKY (1), CONDAFEW (12), LUCKY UNLUCKY (6)
SUGGESTED BET: LIFES BLACK (11) to win

RACE FIVE

INNOCENT CROCKER (1) took on a mares race 2 starts back and sitting in the 1x1 in the run, closed out strongly yet had to share the prize in a dead-heat victory. Chasing home in a sharp rate over the 2138m last start, the return to the sprint trip and the perfect run in transit giver her every chance to arrive.

TENNYSON BROMAC (7) will take good benefit from his last start when returning from a spell. Taken back in the early stages from gate 4 to find position, he was angled to the pegs looking for luck and short-cuts. He had taken on some strong performer in Melbourne prior to the spell and has claims despite the gate.

SEEUNNASHVILLE (2) finished in a mid-field position here 3 starts back when releasing the front before finishing within 6m of the winner ROCK WITH SAM. Wide gates haven’t suited his past 2.

THE BUS (8) hit the line in good order last start from gate 9 in a strong closing sprint. He hasn’t been too far away without threatening and with an easy trip on offer here will be probing for gaps.

SELECTIONS: INNOCENT CROCKER (1), TENNYSON BROMAC (7), SEEUNNASHVILLE (2), THE BUS (8)
SUGGESTED BET: INNOCENT CROCKER (1) to win

RACE SIX

It’s always a huge ask to win from outside the 2nd line over the sprint trip and that is the task facing COLT THIRTY ONE (12) here. Forced to roll the sleeves and do it the tough way last start when returning from a freshen, he was game in going under in a 1.51.1 mile. He will need to be at his best, but is up to the task.

JUSTALITTLETORQUE (1) loves following speed and from this gate will get the opportunity to secure the perfect trip and unleash her closing power. Charging home to a smart win 2 starts back, she was given a freshen and was strong late last start. Tightened from the run, she can surprise at her 1st crack in the ‘big-time’.

ROCK WITH SAM (6) started fav from gate 11 last starts after putting together 3 successive victories. The picket fence was damaged when making an error he lost his chance, yet still finished off nicely. He can search for atonement.

ZAHVEN BANNER (3) made the step up to the FFA ranks last start and was far from disgraced in setting the tempo and only grabbed in the closing stages. From the gate he can make them gun him down again.

SELECTIONS: COLT THIRTY ONE (12), JUSTALITTLETORQUE (1), ROCK WITH SAM (6), ZAHVEN BANNER (3)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-3-6-12

RACE SEVEN

FEEL THE REIGN (4) has been crying out to win one of these qualifying races, going around and performing consistently in them all season. Strong to the line last start after breezing over the 2138m, he was only beaten a neck when leading here 4 starts back. He can look to take control here and fight them off.

HARD TO HEAR (12) is another that has been racing in great order but just can’t seem to grab the win. 2 starts back he looked to have found his race until the middle half was way too slick and he was nabbed in the closing stages. He caught the eye again last start from gate 7 and can go close.

BANGKOK BRAVADO (1) made the most of this same gate 2 starts back when leading all the way. He set the pace again last start when grabbed late by CHERRYS THE BEST and has the gate to suit again.

TEARAWAY DIAMOND (5) was hitting the line in good style here on Tues to grab the silver when only a half-neck from the winner CALLMEDEMARO. Under 4m from the winner his previous 2, he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: FEEL THE REIGN (4), HARD TO HEAR (12), BANGKOK BRAVADO (1), TEARAWAY DIAMOND (5)
SUGGESTED BET: FEEL THE REIGN (4) to win

RACE EIGHT

LAUGHING EMOJI (2) led them up over the mile last start from gate 3 when lading all bar, the last few strides, grabbed and beaten a half-head. Wide and 2nd line gates have been against her in the starts leading into her latest appearance. With the good alley and back to mares only, she gets every chance.

SLIPPERY JADE (4) pressed ahead from gate 3 last start to find the front and with the speed on all the way was only collared in the closing stages when finishing a neck form the winner ALE ALE KAI. Not suited the start prior from gate 12, she can get forward again here to ask the questions.

DE VOYAGE (3) settled in the running line last start when hitting the line in nice style when grabbing the silver behind CHERRYS THE BEST. A nice winner from gate 5 here 3 starts back, she is in the mix.

TACT BESS (12) has another tough gate to negotiate after starting from gate 7 last start when making her Qld debut. Keen in the run, she was closing nicely to be 8m in arrears and will be swooping here.

SELECTIONS: LAUGHING EMOJI (2), SLIPPERY JADE (4), DE VOYAGE (3), TACT BESS (12)
SUGGESTED BET: LAUGHING EMOJI (2) to win

RACE NINE

This is a tough 2nd division qualifier to pull apart where ONLY IN ROME (9) might just get the right trip to arrive. Taking the bronze last start when working home wide off the track over the 2138m, his run the start prior was a sound effort. He hasn’t won for a while, but is worth a chance in this.

NIFTY STUDLEIGH (2) made the most of the passing lane to sprint sharply and land a 3m victory in a softer mid-week contest here 5 starts back. His next 2 not much went his way when chasing from back in the field and followed that with a passing lane 2nd. Settling closer here suits his chances.

ONE WISE MAN (8) doesn’t have much by way of figure form but with the right trip in behind the speed can be ready to make a late play. 3rd to SABRAGE 5 starts back from the passing lane, he will be probing.

CROWNING GLORY (11) started from the ace last start over the 2138m when taking up the lamp lighting duties. Finding the middle distance too far leading all bar the last 2m, back to the mile suits.

SELECTIONS: ONLY IN ROME (9), NIFTY STUDLEIGH (2), ONE WISE MAN (8), CROWNING GLORY (11)
SUGGESTED BET: ONLY IN ROME (9) each-way

RACE TEN

MIRACLE RISING (2) started from the 20m last start at this trip when sticking to the inside and looking for some luck that ultimately didn’t eventuate. Too far back the start prior under the mobile conditions, he can use the inside line to his advantage in pressing forward here and can pinch the prize.

QUIETLY SPOKEN (6) started fav last start from the 20m tape under the conditions when chasing hard behind the dictating winner SPRINGBACK EDEN. Moving back to the 30m tape at the Band conditions here hurts, but she is in great form with 2 wins in her past 4 and can challenge again.

SPRINGBNK EDEN (5) made the most of the front line tape last start when stepping straight to the front and dictated to an all the way win over this trip. Back to a 20m impost will make it tough, but he can’t be ignored.

JUSTABITNOISY (3) has placed at his past 2 starts as he moves closer to his 1st win of the season. Securing the pocket trail from the 10m tape, he chased hard in claiming 2nd and can chime in again.

SELECTIONS: MIRACLE RISING (2), QUIETLY SPOKEN (6), SPRINGBNK EDEN (5), JUSTABITNOISY (3)
SUGGESTED BET: MIRACLE RISING (2) to win
