RACE TWO

IM MAJOR HARRY (1) was a winner over this tri 3 starts back from this same gate when leading all the way, keeping the tempo up throughout in claiming the 3m margin. Beaten by wide gates at his past 2 starts, each run has had merit and with the peg-line benefits again, looks to get his chance.

BIG BANG LEONARD (5) continues his super form, running a huge race last week when nabbed right on the wire in a sharp mile after doing all the work to get forward from gate 5. He faces a sticky gate again here, but in his current form, will throw down the challenge to make it a memorable birthday for his trainer.

COLONELY JOY (8) has worked his way into touch, shooting for a hat-trick of victories last start. Pressing forward to find the breeze, he was in for the fight when 3m in arrears. He will be probing.

URBAN GIRL (4) settled back in the pack from gate 10 last start and with the speed on throughout, was able to arrive with a well-timed run to claim the prize. Runner-up her previous 2, this is not that much harder and she can feature again.

SELECTIONS: IM MAJOR HARRY (1), BIG BANG LEONARD (5), COLONELY JOY (8), URBAN GIRL (4)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

KILLARA KAOS (9) started from gate 11 last start over the mile when put into over-drive at the 900m. Circling the field, he found the breeze at the 600m and kept the power on to run away to a 7m victory. Luckless 2 starts back when stuck on the poles looking for gaps, this looks within his capabilities.

HARD TO HEAR (6) looked to have found his race 4 starts back after some eye-catching efforts and after an easy opening panel, was harangued through the middle stages and was nabbed late. Back to bad luck at his next 2, he was too slick in the closing stages last start in claiming a stylish victory. The gate hurts, but he has been in great touch.

BUMPER (8) had no luck at all here last week when shuffled all the way back to near last before powering home down the outside. Hitting the line again nicely here on Tuesday, he will be searching for space to swoop.

CELTIC CRUZA (10) found his race last week in a 2nd division qualifier when working home over the top from gate 11 at the 2138m trip to claim a nice win. He can work home strongly again here.

SELECTIONS: KILLARA KAOS (9), HARD TO HEAR (6), BUMPER (8), CELTIC CRUZA (10)
SUGGESTED BET: HARD TO HEAR (6) each-way

RACE FOUR

Stripping fitter from his latest assignment MAYWYNS COURAGE (8) should secure a perfect run in transit here. A real eye-catcher 1st up from a spell when charging home after retreating from gate 7, he just wasn’t suited at the middle-distance last start. Back to the mile, he will be coiled and ready to take the snipers shot.

PACIFIC DRUMS (7)
worked forward from this gate last start and having a fair crack for the front was repelled and forced to roll the sleeves. The run had merit under the circumstances and with his runs spaced this campaign, should take good benefit. Despite the gate he can ask the questions again.

JAMIES BAD BOY (1) has been to The Creek on 7 occasions since arriving from across the dutch, finishing in the quinella on all 7 occasions, 4 of those being victories. This is his toughest test to date, but with the ace gate will give them plenty to chase.

MAJORDOIT (9) made the most of gate 1 over the Redcliffe sprint trip 2 starts back when leading all the way. He followed that here last week when hitting the line nicely and angled to the pegs for some short-cuts can be chiming into the exotics in this.

SELECTIONS: MAYWYNS COURAGE (8), PACIFIC DRUMS (7), JAMIES BAD BOY (1), MAJORDOIT (9)
SUGGESTED BET: MAYWYNS COURAGE (8) to win

RACE FIVE

TUESDAYS FELLA (9) returned a meritorious result last start when not receiving the cleanest passage and then stuck in traffic. That was a sharper effort following a sound return at Redcliffe when leading them up, a track where he doesn’t show his best. With even luck in transit, he might just be able to pinch this.

NIFTY STUDLEIGH (1) started from this gate last start over the 2138m and was soon shuffled back before finishing mid-field behind CELTIC CRUZA. Only 2m from the winner in a similar race to this 2 starts back as the favourite, he will need to hustle, but looks to get his chance in front here.

STUDLEIGH STRIDE (8) should appreciate the cosy trip here after facing some tricky gates in recent outings. After going through a stretch of runs below his best, he lands the gate to turn things around.

SLIPPERY JADE (4) was wide off the track and hitting the line nicely last start when 5m from the winner PAY ME INTEREST in a mares qualifier. Only beaten a neck here 3 starts back, she has claims.

SELECTIONS: TUESDAYS FELLA (9), NIFTY STUDLEIGH (1), STUDLEIGH STRIDE (8), SLIPPERY JADE (4)
SUGGESTED BET: TUESDAYS FELLA (9) each-way

RACE SIX

This shapes as a tricky little FFA over the middle distance. CLINTAL DO (1) will need some factors in his favour but with the likelihood he can be leaders back, he can enjoy the easy trip and be coiled and ready for the stretch strike. He found the line smartly last start in some sizzling closing panels and with the rub of the green can take this.

GLENFERRIE HOOD (6) settled in the running line last start, 3 back from his 2nd line gate and wasn’t far away from the power running winner ZAHVEN BANNER. Luckless the start prior when looking for gaps that didn’t arrive, he can roll forward here and throw down a challenge.

TENNYSON BROMAC (5) was sent forward last start from gate 7 and rolling the sleeves was doing the tough stuff when only beaten a half-neck over the mile. Fitter again after 2 runs back, he has claims.

ROCK WITH SAM (8) eased back from gate 6 last start and with all the power up front, was always facing a task to make any impact. Striking trouble 2 starts back, that followed a hat-trick of victories and with a cosy trip will be probing for gaps.

SELECTIONS: CLINTAL DO (1), GLENFERRIE HOOD (6), TENNYSON BROMAC (5), ROCK WITH SAM (8)
SUGGESTED BET: CLINTAL DO (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

THATSWHATISAID (6) had put the writing on the wall after finishing as the runner-up in successive starts this campaign, he then capitalised last start. Beaten a head when 1st up at the mile and leading, he was then beaten a nostril hair over the 2138m before arriving from the 2nd line for a stylish win last week. The gate hurts, but with the added fitness can go back-to-back.

SECRETAGENT TYCOON (9) eased back in the early stages last start from gate 6 yet was still able to find the 1x1 trail. Looking to have plenty to offer in transit, he couldn’t close it out and settled for the bronze behind DREAM TO SHARE. A winner here 3 starts ago, look for him to bounce back.

THE BUS (1) will appreciate the improved gate after facing the 2nd line in 4 of his past 5 outings. Finding the line nicely when 4m from CHANGE OF MIND last start, he can chime in from the gate.

MAKOA (8) will strip fitter from his latest start when returning from a break. Locked away on the pegs, he didn’t have the clearest passage in the stretch. Locked away again, he will be probing.

SELECTIONS: THATSWHATISAID (6), SECRETAGENT TYCOON (9), THE BUS (1), MAKOA (8)
SUGGESTED BET: THATSWHATISAID (6) to win

RACE EIGHT

He may not have tasted victory for some time, yet the form of JUSTABITNOISY (3) has been consistent with a placing at his past 4 in succession. Stepping to the front from the 10m over the 2138m last start, he was 1.5m from the winner QUIETLY SPOKEN. Only beaten a head 2 starts back over this trip, he is ready to strike.

REIGN ON ME (1) started fav here on Tues from the 10m tape over 2138m and after settling in the 1x1 trail, couldn’t pick up the leader and winner MONORAIL. A strong winner from 30m the start prior, she has the options from the inside line off the front tape and gets every chance to cash-in.

QUIETLY SPOKEN (7) added another victory to her tally last start to make it 13 wins here at the track. Finishing over the top from the 20m tape, it was a smart win and despite going back 10m, she is up to the task.

SPRINGBANK EDEN (6) shoots for the hat-trick after successive wins at this trip. Too tough when cutting the breeze from the 20m tape last time, he keeps the same impost and the threepeat is within reach.

SELECTIONS: JUSTABITNOISY (3), REIGN ON ME (1), QUIETLY SPOKEN (7), SPRINGBANK EDEN (6)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE NINE

LIVING GRAND (10) backs up from Redcliffe on Wed night where he wasn’t far from the winner after facing the outside front line gate. 2 starts back he took on a 2nd division qualifier over this trip, leading them up from gate 4 and grabbed on the wire by CELTIC CRUZA. With even luck in transit from this gate, he can arrive.

MAJOR LUCKY (9) slotted into the running line from gate 10 over the mile last start and with the tempo going on through the closing half, he was left too far from the front to challenge. He didn’t have much luck 2 starts back and with the right trip here, should find this easier than recent starts.

JUST ONE GOOD ONE (1) has been thereabouts in recent starts, placing at his past 2 in succession. Easing away from the pegs last start, he found the line in nice style for 2nd and will be probing for gaps here.

ROCKS OR DIAMONDS (3) will have just his 2nd look at the 2138m trip, his 1st coming when restraining from gate 5 and settling too far back to make an impact. Setting a strong tempo in front last start, he has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: LIVING GRAND (10), MAJOR LUCKY (9), JUST ONE GOOD ONE (1), ROCKS OR DIAMONDS (3)
SUGGESTED BET: LIVING GRAND (10) to win

RACE TEN

WHITEHAVEN LASS (3)
has put together a handy record here at The Creek as she has progressed through the classes, with a top-two in 7 of 10 outings. Finding the pegs 1st prior to releasing for the trail last start, she was too slippery up the passing lane to score. With good early speed, she can capitalise here.

JOANIES GIRL (4) pressed forward and taking control over the Redcliffe 2040m was able to run home a sharp last 800m to claim a nice victory. Beaten by a wide gate 2 starts back in a mares qualifier behind MATRON JUJON, she can handle some work and can look to challenge here.

SAINT KILDA BEACH (2) found the breeze last start before releasing with 600m to run, chasing home for the silver behind KILLARA KAOS. Back to mares only is a benefit that she can look to exploit.

CHINOOK WINDS (8) was only 4m away last start behind PAY ME INTEREST over the 2138m. Luckless the start prior when locked on the pegs and not seeing space at Redcliffe, she can chime in here.

SELECTIONS: WHITEHAVEN LASS (3), JOANIES GIRL (4), SAINT KILDA BEACH (2), CHINOOK WINDS (8)
SUGGESTED BET: WHITEHAVEN LASS (3) to win
