RACE TWO

CC JONES (3) was 1st up for the Donny Smith barn last start when sent to the front over the AP 2138m. Setting a solid tempo, he held on for the bronze as B MAC C scorched past them all to score. His run 2 starts back was a tidy effort behind A RAINBOW DELIGHT and this looks well within reach.

ONYAJANS (1) took on a mares contest 2 starts back and raced tough when returning a sound effort. Unable to get into the contest last start when it turned into a last panel scamper, she looks set to get the perfect trip here and with the cosy run can be looking to fire a closing shot.

MONTANA NIGHTS (8) was locked away on the pegs last start from inside the 2nd line and was strong late to grab the bronze behind GOES BOOM. Finding a handy spot, he can chime into the money.

BETTING BARON (5) has the tough gate but will find this much easier than recent starts when taking on 2nd division qualifiers. Within 3m of the winner PACIFIC COIN, 2 starts back, he has claims.

SELECTIONS: CC JONES (3), ONYAJANS (1), MONTANA NIGHTS (8), BETTING BARON (5)
SUGGESTED BET: CC JONES (3) to win

RACE THREE

DOLLARBILL (5) has worked back into some form and has been in the money at 3 of his past 4. Rolling forward to cut the breeze over this trip 2 starts back, he was in for the fight and packed too many guns to claim a 4m victory. Strong at his latest start when wide off the track, he can take this.

BURMACH (1) took on this trip from this gate on Wed night and setting the tempo was nabbed up the passing lane, holding on for the silver. Locked away on the pegs the start prior, he didn’t really get a clean crack at them. If he can control this without being pestered, he can hang on.

OUR PEPPERJACK (2) found the 1x1 trail last start and chased gamely to hold the bronze when 8m from the winner BUMPER. Locked on the pegs 2 starts back, he hit the line nicely and he can chime in here.

HAVANA MOON (7) worked home in nice order over the AP 2138m trip 2 starts back to grab the silver. Wide off the track from gate 11 last start, he will appreciate this class of contest and the cosy trip suits.

SELECTIONS: DOLLARBILL (5), BURMACH (1), OUR PEPPERJACK (2), HAVANA MOON (7)
SUGGESTED BET: DOLLARBILL (5) to win

RACE FOUR

This looks an open race where HURRIKANE SPECIAL (2) might finally get the opportunity to open her win account. Backing up from Thursday where she looked a chance, she was just too far back in transit 3 starts back and followed that with a tough gate when restraining early. She gets her chance.

KID CALVERT (6) doesn’t have any favours from the wide gate, yet he has been racing well of late with a win and two minors in his past 5 outings. Using the passing lane to score here 2 starts back, he will find this a more suitable assignment than what he faced on Wednesday night.

TULHURST KATE (4) chased hard at Marburg 3 starts back to grab the silver when 2m from the winner. Finding them too sharp at AP 2 starts back, she can get across to find position and has podium claims.

CHEYENNE AUTUMN (7) chased gamely last start to be 7m from IM BATMAN. Funned down here 2 starts back when leading them up, she will need some luck here but can be probing for space.

SELECTIONS: HURRIKANE SPECIAL (2), KID CALVERT (6), TULHURST KATE (4), CHEYENNE AUTUMN (7)
SUGGESTED BET: HURRIKANE SPECIAL (2) to win

RACE FIVE

GIGANTIC JASPER (4) was locked on the poles from inside the 2nd line here on Wednesday night, looking for the space and chiming in for the bronze when 3m from the winner. He might just have enough early speed to head them off and from the front can give a sight in a tricky contest.

CANNAN (2) has claimed the brome at his past 2 starts, the latest on Wednesday night when sent to the post as fav. Settling in the running line from gate 3, he was chasing in the latter stages to get within 5m of the winner. Tough in the breeze 2 starts back, he can be close enough to challenge.

GRINYDONTCHA (3) found the front from this gate 2 starts back when looking to take them all the way. Grabbed in the closing stages, she was only a half-head away from the prize. She is in the mix.

BUKTHSYSTEM (5) wasn’t suited last start when sent to the breeze and asked to work through the middle stages. A passing lane 3rd here 2 starts back, he can chime in late with an easy trip.

SELECTIONS: GIGANTIC JASPER (4), CANNAN (2), GRINYDONTCHA (3), BUKTHSYSTEM (5)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 2-3-4-5

RACE SIX

IM BATMAN (6) has been pitch-forked into his races since arriving in Qld with his rating allowing to pick off some easy targets. An easy winner 1st up, he was far too strong last start despite being made to work, he called on his experience to fight them off for the prize. He can make it a threepeat here.

PERFECT FEELING (2) backs up from Thursday where he looked to have podium claims from a good alley. He comes up with another good barrier here and can utilise his early speed to settle in a handy position. A an all the way winner at Marburg 4 starts back, he can look for the quinella position.

WECANONLYHOPE (7) will need some luck at some point to find space, but with an easy tri through the early stages can look to chime in late. Runner-up in consecutive outings heading into her assignment on Thursday, she will be probing.

REDDY FIRE (5) found the pocket trail last start and despite the easy trip, couldn’t go with them when the sprint went on. The gate hurts he, but in this line-up, he can fill the exotics.

SELECTIONS: IM BATMAN (6), PERFECT FEELING (2), WECANONLYHOPE (7), REDDY FIRE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: IM BATMAN (6) to win

RACE SEVEN

A win this season has proved elusive for MONTANA EXPRESS (6) yet despite the wide gate, he looks set to have every chance to take this. Fading out last start over the AP 2138m, he will be better served here on the triangle where he has been runner-up at 3 of his past 5 starts. The small field suits.

AUNTY BESSY (1) has just the single win to her name, with that success coming back in July of 2018. Resuming from a break here, she has been to the trials twice to prepare, with both hit-outs sound performances. With early options, she can look to make a challenge 1st up.

A ROCKNROLL LEGACY (7) backs up from Thursday where he looked a place hope. 2 starts back form gate 6 he worked home nicely to grab the silver and with an easy ride can chime in here.

ELSIES GIRL (2) will appreciate returning to the front line after landing gate 9 here on Wed night when mid-field behind IM BATMAN. Only 1m away here 2 starts back, she has place claims.

SELECTIONS: MONTANA EXPRESS (6), AUNTY BESSY (1), A ROCKNROLL LEGACY (7), ELSIES GIRL (2)
SUGGESTED BET: MONTANA EXPRESS (6) to win
