RACE TWO

OUR DELIGHT (4) will strip fitter following her return last start when doing plenty of work early from gate 7 and fighting gamely when only beaten 3m.  A winner at her final start of the 2YO season, she trialled in good order for the return and with good early speed she can look to take control of this.

PRESLEYBEGOOD (6) settled in the pocket trail off gate 2 when resuming for the term and finished a 3.5m 3rd to JOVIAL JULIE. 2nd up she made the most of getting to the pegs and taking control she held on over the mile. The gate hurts but she can do it tough if needed and go back-to-back.

SPECIAL RESERVE (1) returns to start her 3YO season and has been to the trials twice in preparation. She lands the gate to get a cosy trip on return and can be looking for the gaps in the closing stages.

HIPSTAR (5) was locked away on the pegs last start and hit the line nicely to finish 4m from the winner SAINT KILDA BEACH. Off the 2nd line at his previous 4 starts, he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: OUR DELIGHT (4), PRESLEYBEGOOD (6), SPECIAL RESERVE (1), HIPSTAR (5)
SUGGESTED BET: OUR DELIGHT (4) to win

RACE THREE

LISA LINCOLN (2) made the most of the gate last start in a mares qualifier from gate 3 and taking control had them chasing all the way to score a comfortable victory. That followed a tough run from the 2nd line when 2nd and with her lightning moves off the arm can look to take control in front.

CC JONES (3) wasn’t suited when snagging back early from gate 7 last start and looking to make late ground against the tempo. He hit the line strongly for victory here over the mile 2 starts back after starting from gate 10. Back to the front he can settle handy and be looking to make a closing play.

MORROCH BAY (7) was after the hat-trick last start and landed gate 1 but was in a foul mood, causing a false start and then never looked comfortable. Gate 7 makes it tricky but he can atone.

BETTOR ATOM (8) makes his Qld debut for Jack Butler and arrives winless since July 2017. He has been racing well of late with placings in 3 of his past 5 and with a cosy trip can look to chime in late.

SELECTIONS: LISA LINCOLN (2), CC JONES (3), MORROCH BAY (7), BETTOR ATOM (8)
SUGGESTED BET: LISA LINCOLN (2) to win

RACE FOUR

VELOCE BELLA (3)
looked to take them all the way at Redcliffe last start over the 2040m trip and after setting an even tempo was collared on the line by ELMS CREEK. That followed a tough run over the middle distance when working in the breeze and falling 2m short. She can look to dictate here.

TRAIN WRECK (5) followed inside runs to claim a Redcliffe victory 3 starts back over the sprint trip and tried to repeat that from the same gate when 10m from the winner at his next outing. Rolling to the breeze from gate 5 last start he was in for the fight and despite a tricky gate can challenge here.

MY ULTIMATE HELL (1) has been runner-up at his past 2 starts, the latest when hitting the line strongly to get within a half-head of victory. He will get the cosy trip here and probe the gaps.

VILLAGE CRUISER (8) was a Marburg winner 5 starts back when leading throughout and followed that with 3 successive placings. Working hard last start he will enjoy a softer trip and can place.

SELECTIONS: VELOCE BELLA (3), TRAIN WRECK (5), MY ULTIMATE HELL (1), VILLAGE CRUISER (8)
SUGGESTED BET: VELOCE BELLA (3) to win

RACE FIVE

LUCIFERS LEGEND (1) started from the 2nd line last start and after momentarily looking to have the 1x1 had to settle one position further back. The winner of the race PATERNITY SUIT came form that position and this guy tracked home to be 3m away. With the improved gate he can look to dictate.

MAKOA (8) is in nice touch with wins in 3 of his past 5 starts the latest when attacking the line strongly. Locked away against the markers he sprinted hard when the gaps opened to claim the prize. That followed an all the way effort from gate 3 and with early options can land the hat-trick.

OUTLAW FELLA (7) made the most of gate 1 to lead all the way here 2 starts back over the 2138m and end a run of outs. Luckless from the 2nd line last start he can chime into this despite the gate.

ILLAWONG DREAMTIME (6) snagged back from gate 7 last start and was a long way back in the pack when closing in good order that yielded no reward. The small field suits and gives him a place hope.

SELECTIONS: LUCIFERS LEGEND (1), MAKOA (8), OUTLAW FELLA (7), ILLAWONG DREAMTIME (6)
SUGGESTED BET: LUCIFERS LEGEND (1) to win

RACE SIX

ONE OFF (5)
recaptured some form last start when finding his race and finishing best to claim a comfortable victory. A winner in good fashion from the front 5 runs back, he just went off the boil slightly in-between but with the winning confidence can look to go back-to-back.

IM FREE FALLING (1) is in consistent form with a top 3 finish at his past 9 starts in succession. Starting fav off the 2nd line last start he looked to be in all sorts of trouble with nowhere to go but sprouted wings the last 75m to grab the bronze. From the front he can look to go all the way.

KEY LARGO (9) was in front over the sprint trip last start from gate 1 and set a slick tempo that saw the winner take a 1.53.7 win. Fighting gamely he was only beaten the last stride and can go close again here.

THATS HOW WE ROLL (6) hasn’t been too far off them of late in stronger line-ups than he faces here. Using the passing lane to grab the silver in a qualifier 2 starts back, he can chime in late here.

SELECTIONS: ONE OFF (5), IM FREE FALLING (1), KEY LARGO (9), THATS HOW WE ROLL (6)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-5-6-9

RACE SEVEN

CLASSY GUY (2) was a winner over this trip 2 starts back when finding the front before opting for cover and then finishing best to claim a 3m victory. Given a shot in band company last start, he fought on gamely after an early sizzle to hold the front. Back to claiming grade he gets his chance.

JESTER OH JESTER (5) steps out in claiming company for the 1st time and should be tightened from his latest start when resuming from a freshen. Starting off the 2nd line he went to the pegs looking for short-cuts in a strong mile taken out by KETUT. Looking to recapture his best, he can bob-up.

OUR MELS DREAM (7) was a winner from this same gate over the mile last start when snagged back early and then finishing best wide out to score a 4m victory. Never far away, he is in the mix here.

STIRLING WILLIAM (9) found the 1x1 trail from gate 5 last start over the mile and with strong opening and 3rd quarter panels had the fresh legs to arrive for the win. With a similar run he can arrive.

SELECTIONS: CLASSY GUY (2), JESTER OH JESTER (5), OUR MELS DREAM (7), STIRLING WILLIAM (9)
SUGGESTED BET: JESTER OH JESTER (5) each-way

RACE EIGHT

THE BOYS GNP (3)
faced the breeze here 3 starts back and was in for the fight when finishing 3m from the winner LINCOLN ROAD. He ran into that in-form pacer again at his next start when making good closing ground along the pegs. He can roll forward here and looks to get his chance in this line-up.

PAY ME INTEREST (2) made the most of conditions last start when dropping in behind the leader for the trail she then had the speed to arrive for the prize up the passing lane. The start prior she was in the running line and was good late in a slick last panel. With a solid tempo she will be swooping late.

SKYFELLA CAM (9) took on a qualifier 2 starts back and from the pocket trail held on to claim the silver. Chasing behind the flying MARETTI last start he can be chiming in late here.

FARRAHFOWLER (6) shoots for the hat-trick after wins from in front and via the passing lane. Finding the pocket trail from gate 5 last start she arrived up the passing lane and is in the mix here.

SELECTIONS: THE BOYS GNP (3), PAY ME INTEREST (2), SKYFELLA CAM (9), FARRAHFOWLER (6)
SUGGESTED BET: THE BOYS GNP (3) to win
