RACE TWO

ASTRAL RULER (4) worked forward to face the breeze last start over the 2138m and was in for the fight when 3m in arrears of the winner. That followed his run in the DJA Final where he made an error and was banished to the trials. His 2 heat runs in the DJA were strong and despite not holding the best record over the longer trip, he looks to get his chance.

ROSEHILL MAGIC (1) didn’t have much luck last start and was looking for gaps that didn’t open when only 4m from the winner JUSTABITLIKEMUM. Only 4m away from the winner the start prior, she can look to make the most of this inside lane and settling handy, can challenge for her 1st victory here at The Creek.

ALS LAW (8) was wide off the track last start when making good ground in the closing stages. Only a neck away in stronger company the start prior, look for him chiming in late again here.

MONORAIL (2) settled in the 1x1 trail last start and was strong to the line in holding the bronze. Only 3.5m away in 2nd the start prior behind ALS LAW, he can be in the mix off the front tape in this.

SELECTIONS: ASTRAL RULER (4), ROSEHILL MAGIC (1), ALS LAW (8), MONORAIL (2)
SUGGESTED BET: ASTRAL RULER (4) to win

RACE THREE

LUCKY UNLUCKY (6) returns to Qld to join Vicki Rasmussen and lines up here where he has not missed the board in 8 outings, with 4 wins and 4 minors. Grabbed in the closing stages at Menangle 2 starts back when setting the speed from gate 6, he can return to the Sunshine State with a bang.

ARK ME (2) was locked away on the pegs last start and once the gaps opened was hitting the line strongly to grab the silver behind ROCKNROLL CLASSIC. A winner here 4 starts back when able to use her early speed to take control and dictate from the front, she can look to repeat that here.

ROCKNROLL CLASSIC (3) was rewarded for some consistent efforts that hadn’t paid any rewards when finishing best of a cheap run last start. The small field suits and he will be right in the fight.

TORI MAY (4) is in great touch and last start capitalised off the pocket trail to attack the line strongly and claim a 6m victory. In the money at 7 of her past 8, she won’t be too far away again here.

SELECTIONS: LUCKY UNLUCKY (6), ARK ME (2), ROCKNROLL CLASSIC (3), TORI MAY (4)
SUGGESTED BET: LUCKY UNLUCKY (6) to win

RACE FOUR

A typically tough and open claimer where tempo and position in the run will be vital. With gate speed to call on COMPLY OR DIE (2) can fire out of the machine here and look to take control. Releasing here 2 back, he wasn’t suited last time and back to the claiming ranks can take this.

DIVAS DELIGHT (5) returns to Qld after heading back to NSW for 2 starts where he found things a little out of reach. Last start at Wagga he led them up from gate 2 over the sprint trip but couldn’t see it out when mid-field to MUSCLE MACH. He can bounce back here to challenge.

RUATO BAY (4) should appreciate the claiming grade after he was left chasing in vain as COLOMBIAN GOLD dictated from the front last start. A winner at his previous 2 starts, he can charge late here.

INTRANSIT (8) couldn’t go with them last start when down the line behind the flying BIG BANG LEONARD. That was his 1st start in Qld and taking benefit from the run can be sharper here.

SELECTIONS: COMPLY OR DIE (2), DIVAS DELIGHT (5), RUATO BAY (4), INTRANSIT (8)
SUGGESTED BET: COMPLY OR DIE (2) to win

RACE FIVE

JAMIES BAD BOY (6) has the wide gate to negotiate here, yet he has done everything asked of him since arriving in Aus. Completing a hat-trick of victories, the 3rd of those a tough effort over the 2138m in the breeze. Only beaten a neck last start, he can bounce back to winning form here.

MONTANA LAD (5) was snagged back from gate 7 last start to look for some luck up the peg-line that never arrived, yet he was strong to the line in finishing mid-field. A beaten fav here 2 starts back after just ending up too far back in the pack, if he can settle closer in transit, this is within reach.

ANOTHER STATEMENT (10) will take good benefit from his return to the track to kick-off his 3YO season when leading throughout from gate 1. Cruising home in that victory, he can swoop late here.

SIR SEMPER FIDELIS (3) should appreciate the front-line gate here after his past 4 appearances have been from the 2nd line. Closing out well behind BETTERTHANSPRAYING last start, he has podium claims in this.

SELECTIONS: JAMIES BAD BOY (6), MONTANA LAD (5), ANOTHER STATEMENT (10), SIR SEMPER FIDELIS (3)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

This race for 3YOs only over the 2138m will see a few of the main hopes over the trip for the 1st time. LORD DIGBY (1) showed talent during his 2YO term that saw him go for a break with the impressive numbers of 3 wins in 4 attempts. Shut down after winning over this trip when leading all the way, he has been to the trials twice to prepare for the return and with a soft trip 1st up, can arrive.

OUR BALOU (9) has suffered defeat when starting fav in 2 of his 3 starts since resuming and steps up to the 2138m for the 1st time in his career here. That might just be what he needs to get things back on track after he was too far back last start and the start prior was game outside JIGGLE AND JIVE. A forward showing can be expected.

TORQUE ONETWOTHREE (4) has been to the track twice since resuming. Making an error and losing all chance 1st up, she was collared in the closing stages when 2nd up. The longer trip is a query, but she is in the mix.

ROCKS OR DIAMONDS (5) is another that will be 3rd up from a spell here and over the trip for the 1st time. 5m in arrears of JIGGLE AND JIVE from the pocket trail last start, he won’t be too far away.

SELECTIONS: LORD DIGBY (1), OUR BALOU (9), TORQUE ONETWOTHREE (4), ROCKS OR DIAMONDS (5)
SUGGESTED BET: LORD DIGBY (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

WITH THE BAND (4) steps out for the Donny Smith barn for the 1st time and arrives in Aus a last start winner over 2000m in NZ. A winner at 3 of her 28 career starts, her last start win came on the grass at Motukarara in impressive fashion when arriving from a long way back. This looks a winnable race 1st up.

IFYOUBELIEVE (1) has been in consistent form this season with a top-three in 10 of his 13 outings. Settling in the pocket trail from this gate last start, he wasn’t too far away in holding on for the bronze behind BETTERTHANSPRAYING and with the early options again, can be around the money.

WHITEHAVEN LASS (7) went straight to the front last start and once in control was never really in danger to cruise home to a 7m victory. The gate is a stinger, but she can be chiming in here.

SIXPENNY RED (11) was banished to the trials last start after the white flag was hoisted when doing the hard stuff in the breeze. Earning the ticket back to the track, she can look for cheaper runs.

SELECTIONS: WITH THE BAND (4), IFYOUBELIEVE (1), WHITEHAVEN LASS (7), SIXPENNY RED (11)
SUGGESTED BET: WITH THE BAND (4) to win

RACE EIGHT

THE DOORMAN (4) has been back to the track 3 times this preparation and started from the 2nd line in 2 of those. Last start from gate 9 he was back in the pack and hit the line in good order when 5m in arrears. The start prior was in much stronger company and with good speed can look to dictate.

LAUGHING EMOJI (9) took on a mares qualifier last start from inside the 2nd line where she may have been a little closer to the winner if able to get a cleaner run when needed. Her previous 2 runs were from wide gates that didn’t suit and 4 back she claimed a win in stronger company. Right in this.

MISS MONEYBAGS (11) started from gate 10 here 2 runs back and after making an error put in a big effort to only be 6m in arrears. Franking that with a late swooping win last start, she is in the mix.

NIFTY STUDLEIGH (8) didn’t have much go his way 2 starts back in the Marburg to Albion Final and faded late. Making the most of a cheap run to arrive up the passing lane last start, he will be probing again.

SELECTIONS: THE DOORMAN (4), LAUGHING EMOJI (9), MISS MONEYBAGS (11), NIFTY STUDLEIGH (8)
SUGGESTED BET: THE DOORMAN (4) to win

RACE NINE

An even and tricky conditioned Band 5 to close out the day where OUTLAW FELLA (4) might just be able to make the most of his barrier. Last start he was eased back from gate 6 and then was trying to get into it and the run was better than the result. He hasn’t won for a while, but gets his chance.

LIVING AGAIN (10) started from inside the 2nd line last start in Sat night company and was buried in the run and never saw the space to have a decent crack at them. Beaten by gate 7 the start prior when snagged back and then closing strongly behind DANCE FOR GLORY, he is right in the fight here.

PSYCHEDELIC (1) has been kept fresh since his last appearance and lands the gate to resurrect some form. He hasn’t been at his best in recent starts, but saved for a closing shot, can sprint hard.

NEWMERELLA SHARKIE (11) has no favours from this alley, but caught the eye last start when resuming from a break. Attacking the line strongly off a cheap run, he will be saved for 1 shot here.

SELECTIONS: OUTLAW FELLA (4), LIVING AGAIN (10), PSYCHEDELIC (1), NEWMERELLA SHARKIE (11)
SUGGESTED BET:
