RACE TWO

LAUGHING EMOJI (3) found the front over the 2138m trip last start when 2nd up in Aust. Handing over to take the trail she chased home to hold 2nd behind GOT THE GOODS. With added fitness from the run she can look to take control of this.

TORI MAY (2) returned from a 12 month break when making an error and sent back to the trials. Earning her ticket back to the track she was buried in the run when 4th in the same race as LAUGHING EMOJI. She won’t be far away here.

JUST JOSHIN (6) has been runner-up at all 3 career starts to date and not beaten far in each. The latest was a tidy effort from the 2nd line when chasing hard along the passing lane. Can feature.

NAUGHTYINHEAVEN (4) has taken a while to put it together but her latest 2 runs have been much improved efforts, the latest when 2nd to the smart winner HERBS HERO. She has place hopes again.

SELECTIONS: LAUGHING EMOJI (3), TORI MAY (2), JUST JOSHIN (6), NAUGHTYINHEAVEN (4)
SUGGESTED BET: LAUGHING EMOJI (3) to win

RACE THREE

MATATOKI (10) was 1st up in Qld last start when starting from gate 12 under mobile conditions. Tracking home strongly he grabbed 2nd behind SPUD who has since won the G3 Trotters Marathon. Safe from the tapes he can look to cash-in here.

JUSTABITCOCO (3) made errors last start and was never a factor behind SPUD. Assess on her run 2 starts back when buried in the run she was catching the eye in making late ground when 5th to LANSBURY. With a safe beginning from the tapes she can find position and issue a closing challenge.

SCORCHED (8) charged home to score a nice win here 5 starts back and followed that with a nice effort after striking trouble. He made good ground last under mobile conditions and is in the mix here.

SOUTHERN ALPS (6) should find this easier than his latest start when taking on the open class and doing a good job to hold 4th behind OUR DREAMLOVER. With the right run in transit he is right in the mix.

SELECTIONS: MATATOKI (10), JUSTABITCOCO (3), SCORCHED (8), SOUTHERN ALPS (6)
SUGGESTED BET: MATATOKI (10) to win

RACE FOUR

VETTEL (4) set a solid tempo n front in the lady drivers Invitational last start and was fighting to the line when only 3m from the winner PSYCHEDELIC. NO luck here over this trip 2 starts back when shuffled back along the pegs and charging home late, he gets his chance to turn it around here.

STITCHED UP (5) was an eye-catcher last start when closing out strongly to grab the silver behind MUSCLE MACH. That was his 2nd run in Qld with the run prior a strong effort after going back from gate 6 to find position. Finding position early he can issue a strong challenge in this.

FIRE AND ICE (3) has been meeting stronger opponents than he faces off against here and lands the right alley to settle handy. Only 8m from INVINCIBLE LOXTON 3 starts back he can be much sharper.

THE GUN ROCKSTAR (1) was a winner here 4 starts back in a tough effort over the mile. Given a shot in qualifiers at his next 2 he had no luck and with a good alley here can look for an improved effort.

SELECTIONS: VETTEL (4), STITCHED UP (5), FIRE AND ICE (3), THE GUN ROCKSTAR (1)
SUGGESTED BET: VETTEL (4) to win

RACE FIVE

SMOOTH SAILOR (11) took on a 2138m event last start and after settling on the pegs in the small field packed too many guns in the sprint home to score in good style. That followed an eye-catcher here 2 starts back at his 1st AP outing when charging home into 2nd. With a solid tempo he can arrive.

REMEMBER MAC (1) started fav last time out from this same gate over the 2138m and released the speed but had no answer for the closing speed of SMOOTH SAILOR. He was locked away in the run 2 starts back behind TOM ME GUN and back to the mile from this gate will be right in the fight.

ROCKNROLL DUDE (3) finished best to score here last week over the 2138m and put a margin on them once he found the front. His is tougher but with the right run he has some claims.

OLIVER WINKLE (10) was closing out strongly last start when running into 3rd behind JANUARY. He has since trialled in good fashion and despite a tricky gate can work his way into the money.

SELECTIONS: SMOOTH SAILOR (11), REMEMBER MAC (1), ROCKNROLL DUDE (3), OLIVER WINKLE (10)
SUGGESTED BET: SMOOTH SAILOR (11) to win

RACE SIX

ALPHA STYX (4) was leading them up over the 2138m here 2 starts back when rolling up the track and handing over the win. With a tidy trial to earn his ticket back to the track, he took them all the way over the mile last start in good style. Limiting the early burn he is the one to beat.

CHAL FIRE (10) should take benefit from his latest run when returning from a freshen and working hard when just fading in the closing stages over the mile. He can look to get around them early here and laying down the challenge over the 2138m trip suits.

OHOKA SQUIRE (1) was impressive at his Qld debut when wide off the track and doing plenty of work over the Redcliffe 2040m. Not suited from gate 7 last time, he gets the big gate advantage this time.

IMA TOP TYCOON (3) is racing well and scored a good win here 2 starts back over the mile. His latest run behind ALPHA STYX had merit and he won’t be far away again.

SELECTIONS: ALPHA STYX (4), CHAL FIRE (10), OHOKA SQUIRE (1), IMA TOP TYCOON (3)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-3-4-10

RACE SEVEN

BULL MARKET (10) led them up last start and was setting a solid tempo in front when claimed in the closing stages by COLD IDEAL who had the sit on him throughout. That followed a good win when taking a trail and with some good early pressure in the run can look to steam home over the top.

DUKE OF ALBANY (1) made an error at the start here 3 back and was banished to the outside draw. Back to the main draw he can look to make the most of the gate advantage here and with a smart beginning will have the options. He can be much sharper in this.

SIR JULIAN (9) is knocking on the door with 3rd place finishes at each of his past 3 starts. He did some early work last start when 3m from REDS JET STAR which followed a tidy effort behind REPLACED EYE. He won’t be far away.

BET IM SPECIAL (5) features in a stable change and will line up for Al Barnes. Wide and chasing last start behind ADMIRAL BRONSKI, his run 3 back in the 4YO Triad Final had merit. He can feature.

SELECTIONS: BULL MARKET (10), DUKE OF ALBANY (1), SIR JULIAN (9), BET IM SPECIAL (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

THE CARINGBAH KID (8) found his race here last start and pressing on to the front controlled the tempo in front to score. Following a slick beginner he should get the perfect trip and be ready to take his shot once the passing lane arrives.

ARCACHON (3) pressed on to the front before releasing here last start and went within a half-neck of the winner THERESACHANCE. Likely to not get that run this time around he can still settle with a good spot in the running line and be ready to issue a closing challenge.

HAMMERHOFF (1) has been off the 2nd line at each of his past 3 starts so will look to make the most of the inside advantage. Fitter following 2 runs back from a long break, he gets his chance from this alley.

ARBIT MAJOR (11) has the tough gate but if the tempo is too hard up front can look to storm over the top. He hit the line strongly 2 starts back at Redcliffe and can chime in here.

SELECTIONS: THE CARINGBAH KID (8), ARCACHON (3), HAMMERHOFF (1), ARBIT MAJOR (11)
SUGGESTED BET: THE CARINGBAH KID (8) to win
