RACE ONE

IM FREE FALLING (2)
will find this well below what he has been meeting after taking on some handy performers at AP in recent starts. He tracked home in good order to claim the bronze behind NONE BETTOR 3 back and last start went too hard in front over the 2138m. He can take control of this.

JAX NAVARO (10) returns from a break and while he gets no favours from this alley, he was racing well enough last time in to suggest a race like this is well within reach. After successive win he was beaten 2m behind GALLYMONT SPORT. With a tidy trial to prepare he can return a winner.

PROJECTILE (1) started from this gate 2 runs back and chased valiantly behind a leader who ran a slick closing 800m around the triangle. He will get the perfect trail again and be ready to strike.

SIR SEMPER FIDELIS (3) returned his best run for some time last start at AP when facing the breeze and boxing on well to grab the silver behind OLIVER WINKLE. He has podium hopes from the gate.

SELECTIONS: IM FREE FALLING (2), JAX NAVARO (10), PROJECTILE (1), SIR SEMPER FIDELIS (3)
SUGGESTED BET: IM FREE FALLING (2) to win

RACE TWO

KARLOO MAC (4) has been doing a good job from some tricky gates at his past few starts yet still not been too far away. He missed the final of the latest Claiming Series despite not being too far away from the winner COMPLY OR DIE. He can look to make the most of this lineup and cash in.

COUNTDOWN (7) returns to Qld with visiting trainer Troy Williams. Racing in claiming company in Sydney at recent starts he hasn’t been getting beat by big margins but has not threatened a victory either. With a slice of luck to sight an opening he can feature.

MISTER ELEGANT (8) should be nearing a fitness peak after 5 runs back from a break. His run 3 starts back in a stand start was solid behind THE SHADY ONE and he can look to make career start 200 memorable.

LONG ROAD TO FAME (6) has the wide gate to negotiate here but if able to slide across to find early position can chime into the exotics. He hit the line strongly last start behind BULL MARKET and wont be far away.

SELECTIONS: KARLOO MAC (4), COUNTDOWN (7), MISTER ELEGANT (8), LONG ROAD TO FAME (6)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 4-6-7-8

RACE THREE

THE NEXT STAR (10) will be on the short back-up after racing at AP on Friday but comes into this with a Redcliffe win when 3rd up from a break. Finding the right race she was sent forward from gate 6 to take control and once in front had them all chasing. She will be right in the fight here.

DOWNAN OUT (9) had secured successive 2nd placed results heading into a race on Thurs when drawn inside the 2nd line. The latest placing came when tracking home nicely at the end of the 2138m at AP behind IMA TOP TYCOON. With even luck in transit he can feature in this type of race.

DIXIE TRIX (1) will take good benefit from her latest start when returning from a long break. Buried away on the pegs from a 2nd line gate she tracked home nicely to grab the bronze. With the right trail she has podium hopes.

NEVAEH (5) found her race 3 starts back at AP and was able to finish over the top of them to take a 9m winning margin. She will need some factor to go her way from this alley but has place hopes.

SELECTIONS: THE NEXT STAR (10), DOWNAN OUT (9), DIXIE TRIX (1), NEVAEH (5)
SUGGESTED BET: THE NEXT STAR (10) to win

RACE FOUR

ROCKNROLL MUSIC (5)
has the tricky gate here but with good early speed can be set alight to get across the face of the field and take control. His latest return was a sound effort from the pocket trail when beaten 6m behind PSYCHEDELIC. He took them all the way 5 starts back and will look to repeat that here.

ELLIOTT BROMAC (6) went back from gate 6 last start to find position and considering the circumstances the run had merit. His run 2 starts back from gate 4 was a solid effort and sliding across to find early position can look to issue a challenge here.

BELLA RIPPIN (10) has taken on mares qualifiers at her past 3 starts and been forced to come from 2nd line gates on each occasion. With no favours again from the gate she will be looking for a cart into the contest.

LIVING GRAND (7) will need his share of luck from this gate and be probing for an opening. A beaten fav 2 starts back he was too far back last time when taken back from gate 6.

SELECTIONS: ROCKNROLL MUSIC (5), ELLIOTT BROMAC (6), BELLA RIPPIN (10), LIVING GRAND (7)
SUGGESTED BET: ROCKNROLL MUSIC (5) to win

RACE FIVE

FRENCH DIVA (1) had been in the money at 4 of 8 career starts heading into her latest run here on Thursday. A winner 5 starts back when finishing best from the 2nd line she has been forced to overcome bd alleys in recent starts owing to her starting manners. With the improved gate this is well within reach.

CHEYENNE WARRIOR (10) worked home in good order from the 2nd line 2 starts back at his 3rd run back from a break. Fitter again for his latest start here on the triangle on Thursday, he has the tricky gate to overcome but looks well placed against this opposition.

SAND SAFARI (3) couldn’t muster early speed here on Wed night from the ace gate and was soon shuffled away on the pegs Settling handy here she has podium claims against these.

ALWAYS AT NIGHT (4) makes his Qld debut for visiting trainer Katie Jenner. His last start at Young was a handy effort and 3 back closed out nicely for 3rd at Peak Hill behind ROCK BOTTOM. He has place claims if handling the triangle at his first look.

SELECTIONS: FRENCH DIVA (1), CHEYENNE WARRIOR (10), SAND SAFARI (3), ALWAYS AT NIGHT (4)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

CONNIE MATTGREGOR (2)
is backing up from Thursday where she was off the 2nd line. The performance of CHEYENNE WARRIOR can be some gauge with them meeting out of that same race. Not the bets beginner she can look to hold early position and from the gate gets her chance for a breakthrough.

NOT ALWAYS (4) wasn’t suited last start from gate 7 a went back early to look for shortcuts up the pegs when down the line behind BETTING BARON. This looks the right type of assignment and if able to limit the early burn can throw down a challenge in this.

ARCHIECANO (8) can look to follow through to find a good position in the running line and settling handy to the speed can be working home late. His run 2 back behind JANIES GOT A GUN keeps in under notice against this field.

ITS YOU NOT ME (7) will get the cosy trip against the markers and be looking for the inside runs when they open. Well held in recent starts, the gate is in his favour.

SELECTIONS: CONNIE MATTGREGOR (2), NOT ALWAYS (4), ARCHIECANO (8), ITS YOU NOT ME (7)
SUGGESTED BET: ARCHIECANO (8) each-way

RACE SEVEN

SEVEN RIPPIN ACES (5) has a tricky gate to overcome here but might just have a minor class edge on some of these. He struck trouble last start at AP when looking for space which ended his hopes behind GOT THE GOODS. Struggling to get an alley in the right race, this looks his chance to cash-in.

TOO GOOD FOR YOU (1) returns for his 1st 3YO start after a 4 start 2YO term that ended in frustration with bad alleys owing to his manners. With just the 1 trial to prepare for his return he lands the perfect alley and with added maturity and tractability is right in the fight in this.

GRIZZLY MONTANA (6) found running line cover from the 2nd line here on Wed and worked home nicely to grab the silver behind MY MAGIC MERLIN who controlled the race in front. The gate hurts but he can’t be overlooked.

KATHLEEN GRACE (8) was luckless here on Wed night when looking for position and eventually had to be carted back to the rear. She can find a spot handy this time and chime into the exotics.

SELECTIONS: SEVEN RIPPIN ACES (5), TOO GOOD FOR YOU (1), GRIZZLY MONTANA (6), KATHLEEN GRACE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: SEVEN RIPPIN ACES (5) to win
