RACE TWO

EARL JUJON (4) will strip fitter from his latest run when 2^nd up off a break and finishing best from the pocket trail to score at AP over the 2138m trip. His return run was behind the classy SLICE OF HEAVEN and with this no harder than his last start win, he gets his chance to cash-in here.

TOP FLIGHT CRUZE (8) settled with running line cover last start and was working home nicely in the closing stages to grab the bronze behind KATNISS. That followed a 3^rd in a 2138m 2^nd div qualifier and with the right run in transit can be issuing a late challenge.

GLENFERRIE BABY (7) has raced her way into some form with wins at 2 of her past 3 starts with the latest win a stylish effort pressing ahead from gate 5 to take control. She will need some luck from this gate but stays under notice.

STEVIE DEE (2) can be forgiven for her latest start when making her Qld debut. Buried away from a 2^nd line gate she struck trouble which ended her chances. With good early speed she can be an improver.

RACE THREE

MY MAGIC MERLIN (5) started in red figures last time around and hanging tough was too strong to score a nice win from the breeze. He scored a similar win 3 starts back and split his win with a tough 2^nd. The gate hurts but he can roll forward again and will be asking the questions.

ARCH EMPRESS (3) has raced at AP her past 3 starts and should appreciate getting back to the triangle from a good gate. She chased home nicely last start behind the handy TELL THE LINESMAN and 2 back returned a tidy effort from gate 5. Better suited here.

TELLELLA (7) had been threatening a breakthrough and delivered last start from gate 4 when sliding forward before receiving cover and finishing best. The gate makes it tricky, she just needs the luck.

BEEF CITY BLAZE (4) worked away from the pegs last start and chased home behind the handy ADRIFT. That followed a strong win in restricted company and he has podium claims again.

RACE FOUR

MINI MIRACLE (10) hit the line strongly over the 1780m trip 2 starts back and arrived in time to post a 3m margin. Taken back from gate 5 last start she was threading a passage from well back and caught the eye in finishing off strongly. She will need some luck in transit, but this is within reach.

TAP IT IN (6) has the tough gate to overcome but he is in good touch with a top 3 finish in 4 of his past 5 starts. He chased valiantly last start behind the big winner BETTING BARON which followed a 3m 2^nd to HOT DOGMA. He can look to roll forward here and looks right in the fight.

JUST JOSHIN (2) was impressive on debut when flashing home late to grab the silver behind TELLELLA. Taking some confidence and experience from the run and with an improved gate stays under notice.

HERES MY NUMBER (7) looks likely to be buried in the run which will hurts. He worked home in good order here 2 starts back behind DARBY BRIGHTS and last start worked in the run.

RACE FIVE

SEA HAWKE (4) will take benefit from his latest start when easing into the running line from gate 5 and chasing home behind the smart GINGER MICKY. That was his first outing since the Breeders classic where he led them up and ended within 3m of the winner CAPITALIZE. This looks ideal.

LIFES BLACK (8) was busting to win a race after placing in his 1^st 4 career starts and was able to deliver the knockout last start when taking them all the way and running home a nice closing panel at AP. He has no favours off this gate but will be in for the fight.

MUCHO GUAPA (1) found the pegs last start and chased when claiming the bronze behind LIFES BLACK. That followed a close up 3^rd from the pocket trail and with the cosy trip can place again.

PRESLEYBEGOOD (3) was forced to work in the run last start and battled gamely to cling on for the bronze behind the smart FIRST STRING. Settling handy here she won’t be far away.

RACE SIX

BE ON THE SLY (1) was good considering the circumstances last start when making an error and chasing home. He had met stronger line-ups than what he meets here at his previous 2 starts and with the advantage of the inside line will get the options and his chance in a winnable race.

MICKEE CULLEN (6) has the wide gate but does look to have a class edge on some off these. His last start over the AP mile was a tidy effort behind TELL THE LINESMAN and 2 back was hitting the line nicely behind RUHTREBO. With even luck he transit he can challenge.

NOT ALWAYS (7) found his race last start in restricted company here in Sunday. Pressing on to take the front off gate 4 he was able to hold on for the win. Probing for an opening he has place claims.

ART SECRET (9) has placed at her past 2 starts, the latest when trying to lead all the way but gunned down by THE DREAM MAKER. She will be chasing here but still has podium hopes.

DAENERYS STORMBORN (3) has a superb record in Qld and will take benefit from her latest start when 1^st up from a break and pressing on to the breeze from the 2^nd line was too strong. 2 from 2 under mobile conditions and 3 from 4 here on the triangle, she looks mighty hard to stop.

NO TRANSACTIONS (1) will get an easier run in this compared to his latest effort when forced to work in the run and fading late to finish down the line behind NORTHERN MUSCLE. He has the speed to protect the pegs early and with the options is right in the mix.

ASTRAL RULER (5) has been coming off big handicaps in 2 of his past 3 starts but has still returned top run to finish in the money. With a perfect record from the mobile he can feature despite the wide gate.

OLE SUN (9) is racing in fine fettle and last start from a 30m tape worked home strongly to be within 4m of the winner. He can settle in the running line and be charging home in the closing stages.

RACE EIGHT

JETER (8) made his Qld debut here 3 starts back when taking an opening up the passing lane and sprinting sharply to score the Redcliffe Cup here over the 2613m trip. Making an error at his next start, his closing panels were strong last start and with the right run will be charging home here.

TAIMATE SUCCESS (1) returns from a spell and features in a stable change to the Kelli Dawson barn. A strong winner when stepping to the front and keeping them chasing over the 2138m 2 starts back, she has been in the top 2 at 6 of her past 7 starts. A nice trial to prepare for her return keeps her in the mix.

ROSTEVARREN (5) has his 1^st look at the triangle but does come into the race with a top record from the mobile. Freshened since his last outing when down the line behind NEEDLE he can be sharper.

KIP KEINO (3) was buried on the pegs from a 10m tape last start and worked home in good order to finish beaten by the handicap. This is easier than what he met 2 back and is an exotic player here.

GO AHEAD MAKEMYDAY (4) is a brilliant beginner from the mobile and gets his chance to spear across the field to find the pegs at the tricky 2040m start point. His run here 4 starts back was a nice effort and with excuses at his past 2 he can make amends in this.

ULTIMATE DAIQUIRI (7) makes her Qld debut and arrives with some handy numbers from NZ. Stepping out in a trial to prepare for this, she was a nice winner from a 40m tape. With 2 mobile wins in her homeland, it is only the tricky draw she needs to overcome to throw down the challenge.

HIGH CLOUD LASS (3) is still searching for a maiden win from the mobile after 10 attempts that have netted 3 placings. Freshened since her last outing when 3^rd to NO TRANSACTIONS she has podium claims here.

STEVES STAR (8) has been down the line in recent starts but might just relish the return to a mobile start here. Her mobile record is tidy and with the right early trail can be an improver in this.
