RACE TWO

EL SWAVO (5) pressed on to the breeze at Redcliffe 2 starts back and couldn’t really work into the race on the closing stages. He again went to Redcliffe last start when 3rd after being locked away. Back to AP is a big plus and while his long trip record is not great, he might just be able to pinch this.

RUNNING FREE (8) is better placed in this line-up than what she has faced at her past 2 appearances, although giving away the 10m is a concern. Slowly away last start she was finding the line nicely when 4m from the winner GREG THE GREAT. If not working too hard in the run, she has claims.

WHATABOYZ (7) worked home in nice style last start after coming off this same mark over the 2138m trip. Luckless the start prior, with even luck he can give this a shake.

DAY TOURER (4) has good early manners and from the front tape will get his chance to fire the early shot and get forward. Not suited from the 30m last start at Redcliffe, he can give some cheek.

SELECTIONS: EL SWAVO (5), RUNNING FREE (8), WHATABOYZ (7), DAY TOURER (4)
SUGGESTED BET: WHATABOYZ (7) each-way

RACE THREE

TRUE STEPPER (8) sat in the pocket trail last start at Redcliffe and chased hard when holding 2nd behind the subsequent winner MY ULTIMATE STAR. The start prior she was in for the fight from the 2nd line and with a cosy trip on offer here can be coiled and ready to strike.

RAMBUNCTIOUS (5) started from gate 6 last time out when finding the 1x1 trail and worked home in good order to grab the silver behind FEARLESS FAITH. Luckless the start prior when a gap didn’t open until it was too late, he will be further tightened and is right in the mix in this.

TARGARYEN HANOVER (1) will strip fitter following his latest appearance when resuming from a break and forced to work in the run when claiming 3rd. With good early speed, he is right in the fight.

BRIGHTON PRINCE (9) started fav last time at Redcliffe and after settling in the running line, tracked home to hold the silver. Put out of play the start prior, he can get a nice trip here.

SELECTIONS: TRUE STEPPER (8), RAMBUNCTIOUS (5), TARGARYEN HANOVER (1), BRIGHTON PRINCE (9)
SUGGESTED BET: TRUE STEPPER (8) to win

RACE FOUR

BELLA BALL TERROR (6)
had been working towards a victory after 3 runs back from a lengthy lay-off. Last start from gate 10 he settled back in the field over the mile and with the speed on up front, descended on them late to claim the prize. 2nd the start prior, he looks well placed to take this.

AUNTY BESSY (4) rolled to the breeze here 2 starts back in a small field and fought hard to hold on for the bronze. Banished to the trials after making an error last start, she has earned the ticket back with a tidy effort and from the gate will be in the fight.

HAVANA MOON (1) is probably going a little better than the numbers suggest with her last start seeing her fade out after a torrid trip. The start prior from gate 12 was good and from the gate can feature.

GINA MACH (7) was 3-wide the last 900m here last week and looming up in the stretch, the wide trip took its toll and she was 2m from the swooping winner. With even luck she won’t be far away.

SELECTIONS: BELLA BALL TERROR (6), AUNTY BESSY (4), HAVANA MOON (1), GINA MACH (7)
SUGGESTED BET: BELLA BALL TERROR (6) to win

RACE FIVE

BUNDABURRA (4) started from gate 12 last start and was always facing a task with the speed at the front making it tough for the chasers. He worked home in good order the start prior with a solid tempo seeing the swoopers arrive. Fitter after 3 runs back, the small field suits here.

MAFUTA VAUTIN (1) made the most of conditions from the gate at Redcliffe 2 starts back and taking control in front was able to see it out. He was game here on sat night after doing his share of work when not beaten far. With the good alley here, he will look to capitalise.

ITS JUST KENNY (5) started fav last time out and from gate 1 was able to protect the pegs and take them all the way. He worked home nicely from back in the pack the start prior behind MAFUTA VAUTIN and won’t be far away here.

SELECTIONS: BUNDABURRA (4), MAFUTA VAUTIN (1), ITS JUST KENNY (5)
SUGGESTED BET: BUNDABURRA (4) to win

RACE SIX

In a race that looks wide-open with some in-form runners all coming together, I’m leaning to THATS HOW WEROLL (2) who was buried away on the pegs here 2 starts back and was hitting the line in good order to grab the bronze when 3m from the winner COOL SCOOTER. Not suited last start when racing tough outside the leader, he can settle handy and might just sneak away with it.

KEY LARGO (5) lands his 3rd gate 5 in succession and will be hoping to go one-better after finishing as the runner-up at his past 2. Finding the front last start, he was grabbed late over the 2138m and the start prior worked in the breeze over the 2138m. He will get forward and will be in the fight.

APHORISM (11) pressed on to find the front over the 2138m last start from gate 5. Running a solid tempo in front, he held on to claim victory by a half-head. The gate hurts but he won’t be far away.

MONGOLIAN ARCHER (9) took on the JC McMullen last start where he found the front from gate 5 before taking the trail and fading late. He will be better suited in this line-up and can be much sharper.

SELECTIONS: THATS HOW WEROLL (2), KEY LARGO (5), APHORISM (11), MONGOLIAN ARCHER (9)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 2-5-9-11

RACE SEVEN

HOWS THE MEMORY (11) started from gate 12 over the 2138m here when 2nd up from a long break last week. A 1st up winner at Penrith, she was driving the 3-wide train here last start and kept driving to get within a flared nostril of the prize. The gate hurts again, but she is a smart mare and with a solid tempo can arrive.

OUR UNCLE ALAN (1) can make the most of his improved gate after doing all the heavy lifting in the breeze at his past 3 appearances. Pressing on from gate 7 last start over the mile, he was wide in a 27.3 opener and dug in when 6m in arrears. Beaten under 2m his previous 2, he gets his chance.

LITTLELIONELJAMES (9) has returned from a spell in fine fettle, finishing in the money at 6 of his past 7 starts. Only 4m away behind ALLABOUTDREAMS last start, he can be working home hard in this.

TOMMY UNDER FIRE (5) should appreciate the front line after starting from the 2nd line in both Qld appearances. Only a half-neck away when 1st up, he worked too hard last time and can feature here.

SELECTIONS: HOWS THE MEMORY (11), OUR UNCLE ALAN (1), LITTLELIONELJAMES (9), TOMMY UNDER FIRE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: HOWS THE MEMORY (11) to win

RACE EIGHT

SCOOB OPERATOR (9)
was having his 1st start since being claimed out of Vic by Dean Cernovskis when taking on a mile contest here last week. Taken back from gate 5, he then went to the pegs hoping for luck. Running into dead-ends, he was closing strongly and with the right trail can arrive.

POLISHED ROCKS (2) went to the pegs last start to find some luck when finishing 5m from ITS JUST KENNY. Forced to face the breeze the start prior, he faded late under a strong mile. With the early bullets to fire, he can look to dictate and will be gripping on in the stretch.

JUMPING JOLT (11) will take some benefit out of his latest appearance when returning from a freshen. From gate 12 he went luck hunting to find the line in good order and can swoop late here.

IMTHE GOLDEN CHILD (3) hasn’t had the best of luck in recent outings, the latest when locked in the running line and never getting a crack at them. A 4m 2nd here 3 starts back, he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: SCOOB OPERATOR (9), POLISHED ROCKS (2), JUMPING JOLT (11), IMTHE GOLDEN CHILD (3)
SUGGESTED BET: SCOOB OPERATOR (9) to win

RACE NINE

WITHALOTOFLUCK (2)
looks to get into this race nicely and should appreciate a slightly easier assignment from the good alley. From gate 12 last start he found the line in good order which followed a 6m deficit to HUGHIE GREEN. With good early speed, he can look to take control.

LITTLE CHANGE (12) was a Redcliffe qualifying winner 5 starts back when finishing best down the centre of the track. Since that win he has been hitting the line strongly on each occasion. On Sat he was charging home behind PRESTONPANS and with a hot tempo is the swooper to watch.

PROFICIENT (6) returned from a freshen in top order when finishing over the top to claim victory over 2138m. Grabbed late after leading them here 3 starts back, he will be right in the fight.

BRADS LUCK (11) rolled the sleeves and did the hard yards outside the leader here on Fri night and after putting the leader away, was grabbed by a half-neck up the passing lane. He won’t be far away.

SELECTIONS: WITHALOTOFLUCK (2), LITTLE CHANGE (12), PROFICIENT (6), BRADS LUCK (11)
SUGGESTED BET:
