RACE TWO

Proving to be quite the enigma, GREG THE GREAT (9) has mixed flashes of brilliance with oodles of frustration. His win 3 starts back was top shelf making it successive wins, putting his rivals to the sword and breaking clear to claim a massive 55m victory. Making errors his past 2, his run was still huge here on Tues. Just needs to pack his manners in the gear-bag for the trip to the track.

MISTER OZ (1) is on the back-up from Wed night at Redcliffe. Racing in good touch in recent outings, he was game in the breeze 2 starts back with RUNNING FREE taking control in front With the benefit of the front tape over this trip, he will get himself in the right position to keep them chasing.

GARLAND GREENE (10) started from the front tape under the conditions last start and was strong in the closing stages to arrive for the prize. A winner at 3 of his past 4 starts, he is a big threat here.

MUSCULUS (2) has made errors at his past 2 starts, costing him his chance. Arriving to secure his 1st Qld win here 4 starts back, moving to the front tape is a big plus and if trotting cleanly can feature.

SELECTIONS: GREG THE GREAT (9), MISTER OZ (1), GARLAND GREENE (10), MUSCULUS (2)
SUGGESTED BET: GREG THE GREAT (9) to win

RACE THREE

SPECIALANDIKNOWIT (5)
was returning from a spell last time out at Redcliffe and finding the pocket trail from gate 3. Hitting the front after darting into the passing lane, he was grabbed in the closing strides by the hard-swooping MISTER COLE. He can use his early speed to find position and go close.

BARONE (1) made a mess of the start here 3 runs back and was banished to the outside draw. With his 2 runs out of the draw, he has done everything right and the latest run was sound when chasing home from back in the pack. With his best gate of his career, he can look to capitalise.

CHEESANDKISSES (2) has been kept fresh since her 1st career start when she was very green and having a good look about in the run, finishing mid-field. With the added experience, look for a sharper effort.

VENUS JUJON (4) lands the front line for the 1st time at her 3rd career start, which could prove to be all the difference. Doing a mountain of work last start when sent to the breeze, she can feature here.

SELECTIONS: SPECIALANDIKNOWIT (5), BARONE (1), CHEESANDKISSES (2), VENUS JUJON (4)
SUGGESTED BET: BARONE (1) each-way

RACE FOUR

RAGING INFERNO (10)
was a Redcliffe winner when making his Qld debut 6 starts back and since that win, he has been able to place on another 4 occasions. Charging home from a long way back last start at Redcliffe, he lands a tricky gate, yet strikes a winnable contest here and can arrive in time.

HEADWIN (2) rolled forward to face the breeze here 2 starts back and kept grinding away to finish 2m in arrears of the winner and claim the silver. Working hard last start and also under the pressure of a flat tyre, he faded in the closing stages. He can fire an early shot here and is right in the fight.

NICOPOLIS (8) chased gamely last start when finishing 3m from the winner JAMAICAN RESORT. He will need a slice of luck from this alley, yet if the gaps arrive, he can be charging into the money.

DOWNTOWN LUCCA (4) hasn’t been too far away of late in similar type races, placing in 3 of his past 4 appearances. Working home from a rearward position over the Redcliffe 2040m last start, he can chime in here.

SELECTIONS: RAGING INFERNO (10), HEADWIN (2), NICOPOLIS (8), DOWNTOWN LUCCA (4)
SUGGESTED BET: RAGING INFERNO (10) to win

RACE FIVE

OUR DELIGHT (1) was taken to Redcliffe last start and from inside the 2nd line looked to be in all sorts when buried 3 back on the pegs. When the passing lane arrived, she exploded along the inside to claim a sharp 3m victory. With the options from the gate, she looks well placed to go back-to-back.

BANGKOK BRAVADO (10) has been kept fresh since his last appearance when taking control from gate 3 over the 2138m. Keeping an even tempo early, he had them chasing and packed too many guns to claim a strong win. In good form leading into that, with even luck from he can feature.

NADEEN FRANCO (5) wasn’t suited last start when forced to race tough in the breeze over the 2138m, yielding ground in the stretch. Not far away at her 1st Qld start this prep, she can chime in.

CC JONES (4) sat in the pocket trail here 2 starts back and chased hard, hit the front and was then only grabbed up the passing lane, beaten a half-head. A bit too sharp for him last start, he can place.

SELECTIONS: OUR DELIGHT (1), BANGKOK BRAVADO (10), NADEEN FRANCO (5), CC JONES (4)
SUGGESTED BET: OUR DELIGHT (1) to win

RACE SIX

FLYING WINGARD (3)
showed what the difference in being able to find the front and dictate can do when taking them all the way last start, ripping home a nice 27.5 closing panel to score by 7m. He steps it up again here but from the gate can again take control and look to build on his last start win.

WE SALUTE YOU (11) took on the Redcliffe Derby last start at his 1st appearance for the Dixon stable and locked in the trail made an error and lost all chance. He had trialled twice to prepare for that run, with the 2nd of those a tidy effort. Back to the bigger track is a big plus and he can challenge.

ROYAL LINCOLN (6) was a last start winner when able to take control in the early stages from gate 1 and hold on to score a 2m victory, setting a new career benchmark. With even luck he is in the mix.

TAXI METER (1) sat in the pocket trail from inside the 2nd line last start and chased hard for the silver. A winner here 3 starts back from the front, he can secure a cosy trip to offer late.

SELECTIONS: FLYING WINGARD (3), WE SALUTE YOU (11), ROYAL LINCOLN (6), TAXI METER (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

FAME ASSURED (12) missed a run in the SS Redcliffe Cup last Sat night after being listed as the emerg. The start prior she claimed a mares band event after a tidy steer saw her find the 1x1 trail from inside the 2nd line and from there sprinted home over the top to score. She looks the class here.

BUNDABURRA (7) has been kept fresh since his last appearance when scoring over this trip back on Apr 30. Settling rearward in a small field he attacked the line hard to arrive for a 1m victory. Fitness is the obvious query but, in this line-up, if near his best, he can be challenging hard.

IMA TOP TYCOON (9) was rewarded for some consistent performances of late when arriving to claim a qualifier last start. In the money at 5 of his previous 6 starts, he can get a trail into this to offer.

COREY WILLIAM (2) was best of the chasers behind NORTHVIEW HUSTLER 2 starts back, holding on through a slick last panel. Fast out of the gate, he can take control here and be gripping on.

SELECTIONS: FAME ASSURED (12), BUNDABURRA (7), IMA TOP TYCOON (9), COREY WILLIAM (2)
SUGGESTED BET: FAME ASSURED (12) to win

RACE EIGHT

Once again another open claimer to dissect with the tempo over the 2138m sure to influence the result. After winning in good style from gate 2 over the mile 4 starts back, DIVAS DELIGHT (3) has struggled to land a barrier since. His run 2 starts back was strong and from the gate can bounce back.

FIOKI (11) drops into the claiming ranks off the back of some handy form that includes placings in 3 of his past 5 appearances. Taking on a conditioned Band 5 on Tue he settled rearward and saved for a sprint up the stretch, attacked the line with venom to grab the silver. Look for him swooping.

BLUE POINTER (5) returns to Qld, this time joining the Darrel Graham barn. Starting fav last start at Penrith, he found the line in good order and 2 back was a strong winner from the front there.

ONE WISE MAN (8) will need some luck in transit but with the economical trip against the poles can be ready to offer in the stretch. Not far away in a qualifier 2 starts back, he will be probing for gaps.

SELECTIONS: DIVAS DELIGHT (3), FIOKI (11), BLUE POINTER (5), ONE WISE MAN (8)
SUGGESTED BET: DIVAS DELIGHT (3) to win

RACE NINE

AQUA MISS (5)
started from gate 10 last time out and settling back in the pack as the race fav was saved for one closing shot. Attacking the line, she went within a half-head of the win. That followed a luckless run when buried on the pegs and from this gate she looks set to get her chance.

SPRING CAMPAIGN (11) lands another tricky hate after a string of tough alleys. He was hitting the line in good order last start when finishing 10m from CLARRY. Put a line through his run 2 back when he made an error, if he can secure the right cart home, he can throw down a challenge here.

LETSGOTOTHEHOP (10) was in for the fight here on Tues when grinding it out in the breeze and getting within a pimple of victory. His 1st up Qld run had merit and he can’t be ignored in this.

MACHIN OUT (8) didn’t get space when needed last start which had followed a tough run when cutting the breeze. He will need some luck here, but look for him charging when the gaps arrive.

SELECTIONS: AQUA MISS (5), SPRING CAMPAIGN (11), LETSGOTOTHEHOP (10), MACHIN OUT (8)
SUGGESTED BET: AQUA MISS (5) to win
