RACE TWO

OUTLAW FELLA (6) was a winner here 5 starts back over this trip when sent forward and bullying his way to the front was then able to control the tempo to score a 5m victory. He has struggled to land a gate since and was strong last week in the latter stages. This is wide open and he gets every chance.

FIOKI (1) was able to sit off the tempo over the 2040m at Redcliffe last start and making a charge wide off the track arrived in time for the prize. With enough early speed to pick who he releases he should be coiled and ready to strike when the gaps arrive.

IDEAL WARRIOR (8) makes his Qld debut for Peter Greig and arrives fresh from a spell and without an official trial as he looks to resurrect some form. The easy trip 1st up suits and he can chime in.

SOMEMONDOSOMEWHERE (5) won a qualifier here 4 starts back when leading all the way from gate 1 over the 2138m trip. Facing some tough gates since that win his runs have still had merit.

SELECTIONS: OUTLAW FELLA (6), FIOKI (1), IDEAL WARRIOR (8), SOMEMONDOSOMEWHERE (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

GOALKICKER (3) started fav here 2 starts back over this trip from gate 1. Leading them up she was looking to take them all the way but faded off. Looking to have found her race last start at Redcliffe she was 3-wide for the last lap when beaten a half-head. She can look to turn it around here.

MAJOR GENERALJUJON (2) has placed in 2 of his 4 starts since resuming from a break, the latest when holding on for 3rd after chasing home SACHE GIRL from the pocket trail over the Redcliffe sprint trip. Not suited when too far back here 2 runs back he can settle closer to make a challenge.

JACKS AT THE BEACH (6) was angled to the pegs for an easier trip off the 2nd line here last start and was chasing hard in a slick closing panel set from the front. He can ask the questions in the run here.

REGAL NIGHTSHADE (9) went back to the pegs to look for luck here 2 starts back and was sound to the line behind TUESDAYS FELLA. His effort was good on Fri from inside the 2nd line and he can place.

SELECTIONS: GOALKICKER (3), MAJOR GENERALJUJON (2), JACKS AT THE BEACH (6), REGAL NIGHTSHADE (9)
SUGGESTED BET: GOALKICKER (3) to win

RACE FOUR

REDRIVERDEBBA (2)
is on the back-up from Sat night where she took on the McNeil final off a 40m impost. A strong winner of a 1st round heat of that series when working home wide off the track, she can look to make the most of a front-line tape here. With good starting manners she will be in the right spot.

MATATOKI (6) was game in defeat in the DJA Final back in Dec after a dearly error and the run was full of merit. His latest outing saw him sent forward from the 30m to find the breeze over this trip and was fighting all the way when beaten 4m into 3rd. Freshened since that run he can feature.

SPIRIT WALKER (5) made light work of a 50m handicap at Redcliffe last start over the 2280m when sent on a forward march to take control and was never headed. Safe from the tapes she is in the mix.

SHADY SADIE (8) was quickly into stride last start and was able to find the pegs and the pocket trail before finishing too sharply up the passing lane. Her previous runs were good and she can feature.

SELECTIONS: REDRIVERDEBBA (2), MATATOKI (6), SPIRIT WALKER (5), SHADY SADIE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: MATATOKI (6) each-way

RACE FIVE

GANGSTER BOY (3) was a mid-week winner here 4 starts back when sent to the front and taking control over the middle distance was never in danger. Following that with some tidy performances in open company, he wasn’t suited from gate 7 on Sat night. Finding the pegs in the small field here looks ideal.

NUI TOC TIEN (6) has been in FFA company on Sat night at his past 3 starts and has been far from disgraced. 3 starts back he was within 5m of GLENFERRIE HOOD and followed that with a top run when hitting the line strongly in slick fractions when 6m in arrears. Just needs some luck in transit.

SIR JULIAN (2) had placed in 3 of his previous 4 starts heading into Sat night where he looked well placed to feature. Dropped to the pegs from gate 5 last start he closed out strongly and won’t be far away.

SWEET AS (1) is on the back-up from Sat night and looks to get the favours from this gate. She took them all the way to win a mares only race 4 starts back and can chime in with the right trip.

SELECTIONS: GANGSTER BOY (3), NUI TOC TIEN (6), SIR JULIAN (2), SWEET AS (1)
SUGGESTED BET: GANGSTER BOY (3) to win

RACE SIX

IM FREE FALLING (1)
was set alight from gate 6 here 3 starts back and was trying to fight them off when grabbed in the latter stages by HARD TO HEAR. Locked away on the pegs at his next outing from inside the 2nd line he was attacking the line strongly and with the gate advantage can capitalise.

NOVENA ROSE (8) bounced back to winning form at Redcliffe last start when circling them early from gate 10. Working to the breeze she held on in a determined run in claiming victory. With the benefit of a cosy trip, she can be coiled and ready to take the snipers shot in the stretch.

HARD TO HEAR (7) is in good touch and despite a wide gate can throw down a challenge. He was after a hat-trick of wins last start from gate 11 when he went within a pimple of victory behind TRILIGHT BRIGADE. He is in the fight once again.

TELL THE LINESMEN (4) was a comfortable Redcliffe winner 3 starts back when leading throughout from gate 3. His past 2 have seen him locked away on the markers, the latest when only beaten 5m.

SELECTIONS: IM FREE FALLING (1), NOVENA ROSE (8), HARD TO HEAR (7), TELL THE LINESMEN (4)
SUGGESTED BET: IM FREE FALLING (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

PACIFIC DRUMS (7) was returning from a freshen here last start when sent forward from gate 5 he was able to muster the speed to lead in a 27.6 opener. Keeping the tempo up-beat, he still had enough in reserve to rip home in 27.7 to score by 6m. The gate hurts but he can look to build on the win.

TUESDAYS FELLA (2) made the most of gate 1 here 2 starts back and holding the front over the sprint trip was never in danger to claim a 4m victory. That followed a tidy effort when chasing from back in the pack behind PARAVANI. On the back-up from Friday he can be right in the fight from this gate.

LANCELOT BROMAC (1) has been meeting band 5 company and drops back into this grade from the good gate. His last start was a good effort after striking trouble when 7m from CHAPTER ONE. He gets his chance to end a long winless streak.

NEWPORT DREAMZ (8) looked to take them all the way from gate 1 over this trip last start and was keen in the run which was his undoing. He can get a cosy trip and if he can settle in transit has claims.

SELECTIONS: PACIFIC DRUMS (7), TUESDAYS FELLA (2), LANCELOT BROMAC (1), NEWPORT DREAMZ (8)
SUGGESTED BET: PACIFIC DRUMS (7) to win

RACE EIGHT

ROYAL LINCOLN (11)
returned in good style with a 1st up win here 3 starts back over the mile when finding the pegs and leading throughout. Forced to do it tough at his next outing from gate 6 and cutting the breeze, his latest outing was strong when claiming the bronze. The gate hurts but he is up to the task.

BRIAN WHO (7) was game in chasing a rejuvenated BOULDER CITY from the breeze here 3 starts back and with the writing on the wall backed it up with a stylish win from gate 6 when closing out strongly from a long way back. A red figure fav on Fri where he looked well placed, he can feature.

INVITE ONLY (5) has been in the money at 3 of her past 5 starts with the latest when chasing home from the pocket trail to grab the bronze behind PACIFIC DRUMS. With even luck in running she won’t be far away.

OASIS DREAM (6) ended a long run of outs when making the most of the pocket trail to claim victory here 4 starts back. He chased hard for the bronze last start and despite a wide gate is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: ROYAL LINCOLN (11), BRIAN WHO (7), INVITE ONLY (5), OASIS DREAM (6)
SUGGESTED BET: ROYAL LINCOLN (11) to win

RACE NINE

PATERNITY SUIT (5)
was after a hat-trick of wins when stepping out over the mile he was forced to do the hard yards outside COREY WILLIAM and the effort took its toll when fading out. Not suited last start from gate 7 when snagging back early, he can take an early shot and will be in for the fight.

COREY WILLIAM (2) had scored 3 wins and a head 2nd to the smart LICNOLN ROAD in his previous 4 starts when sent to the post a very short priced fav here 2 starts back. Breaking gait he was never comfortable in the run when finishing last. Well beaten last start, he gets every chance to take control and bounce back to form.

BIG BRUCE (9) was 2nd up from a break over the mile here last time out when sent to the breeze from gate 5 as the ruling fav. Fighting gamely, he didn’t shirk the task and went within a half-neck of victory. With the right trail through early he will be in the mix.

GRINVIL (4) has found some form and comes into this off the back-up from Sat night. Runner-up at her previous 2 starts she was only beaten 1m and a half-neck from 2nd line gates in each. Look for her charging late.

SELECTIONS: PATERNITY SUIT (5), COREY WILLIAM (2), BIG BRUCE (9), GRINVIL (4)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 2-4-5-9
