RACE TWO

OSCARS GLORY (2) had an early look from gate 4 at Redcliffe on Wed night before finding cover. With the leader dictating and running even sections in front it was hard going for the chasers. His last win came here back in Oct when tough from the breeze and finding the front here can cash-in.

DIAMONDSFROMHEAVEN (5) roled forward from gate 5 at Redcliffe last start and was in for the fight from the breeze when only fading in the closing stages over the 2040m trip. Sent to the breeze she might just be able to worry the leader out of this and with 2 wins from 3 attempts at the track is a big threat.

MAESTRO MAC (3) held the pocket trail from gate 1 last start and went within a half-head of victory. That was his 2nd run back from a break and with the added fitness can be in the mix here.

GRIZZLY MONTANA (4) will strip fitter from his latest start when resuming from a spell. Too far back as the race was controlled from the front, he can be sharper in this.

SELECTIONS: OSCARS GLORY (2), DIAMONDSFROMHEAVEN (5), MAESTRO MAC (3), GRIZZLY MONTANA (4)
SUGGESTED BET: OSCARS GLORY (2) to win

RACE THREE

CERTAINLYSOMETHING (1) returns to the Geoff Stanfield barn following a 3 start Tasmanian adventure last season that failed to yield any results. Trialling recently at Albion Park she led the trial and it was a tidy effort and with the speed to lead them up in this might just be able to sneak home with a maiden breaking victory.

ALL MADNESS (6) looked to lead them throughout here 3 starts back from gate 4 but after spending some petrol to find the pegs just faded late to hold on for the bronze. He should get a good trip in the trail here and probing for openings can be looking for the space to challenge.

SUGAR BRICHERS (8) was able to find the pocket trail from gate 5 last start and that was enough for her to hold on for the silver behind DATSGOOD. Both her career wins have been on this track and she can be thereabouts.

CURRUMBINKID (3) can do plenty wrong in his races and will return to the track following a break and 2 steward enforced trials as a result of his manners. If he can put it together, he has shown enough that he can feature in this.

SELECTIONS: CERTAINLYSOMETHING (1), ALL MADNESS (6), SUGAR BRICHERS (8), CURRUMBINKID (3)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

LOTS MORE GRINS (1)
has been freshened since his last appearance here when finishing down the line. Crossed in the early stages he was away from the pegs to the breeze before finding cover but that was the end of his day. Hustling early to maintain the inside advantage this looks his chance to capitalise.

INCITER (9) started from the 2nd line at Redcliffe 2 starts back and loomed up strongly to get within a half-head of victory. Following that with a mid-field finish over the sprint trip last start he gets back to Marburg where his record is excellent. Never missing a top-3 in 12 appearances he will be right in the fight.

ELZBOY (7) is another with a great record on the Marburg track but his best performances have been when able to settle near the front. He faces the tricky gate here but with the right run can feature.

BE ON THE SLY (8) was well back in the pack from a 2nd line gate at Redcliffe last start and was hitting the line in good style to grab the bronze behind SUBTLE ADVICE. With the right cart home, he can place.

SELECTIONS: LOTS MORE GRINS (1), INCITER (9), ELZBOY (7), BE ON THE SLY (8)
SUGGESTED BET: LOTS MORE GRINS (1) to win

RACE FIVE

LURAH (1) started a drifting fav at Redcliffe on Thurs and from gate 2 over the 2040m trip was grabbed in the closing stages by SPRINGFIELD SPIRIT. Her previous form is against stronger opponents than she meets here and with the speed to lead she looks set to dictate from the front.

CAESARS ASTRUM (6) fired out from gate 3 at AP last start to find the pegs over the 2138m and looked to take them all the way when grabbed up the passing lane. From the inside here she can land a cosy trip and will be looking for the gaps to work into open space for the challenge.

SIR SEMPER FIDELIS (4) made the most of an easier assignment to capitalise with a Redcliffe victory 2 starts back. He struck some trouble last start and at his best can be in for the fight in this.

HERITAGE BEACH (2) makes his Marburg debut looking to turn around a 12-month winless streak. His past 3 starts have all been from the 2nd line and with the improved gate gets a place chance.

SELECTIONS: LURAH (1), CAESARS ASTRUM (6), SIR SEMPER FIDELIS (4), HERITAGE BEACH (2)
SUGGESTED BET: LURAH (1) to win

RACE SIX

NEWMERELLA MOLLY (9)
has only started 3 times and all 3 have been here at Marburg where she has shown her share of ability with a pair of wins and a 3rd and starting fav in each. Her latest win was a nice effort when snagged back from inside the 2nd line. She can power home to victory here.

LIVING FREE (3) was sent forward from the 2nd line to find the breeze at Redcliffe last start and after working hard faded out. His last start at this track saw him working hard in the breeze and holding on for 3rd behind NEWMERELLA MOLLY. He can go in search of the lamp lighting duties here and be fighting on.

WHATA STRIDE (7) has landed some tough gates in recent starts and while there isn’t much improvement again here, she might just be able to get the right early trail. If that happens, she can place.

LA BELLE CHEVAL (2) resumes from a spell where she faced the starter just twice to start her career last campaign. Given a pair of trials to prepare for the return, she is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: NEWMERELLA MOLLY (9), LIVING FREE (3), WHATA STRIDE (7), LA BELLE CHEVAL (2)
SUGGESTED BET: NEWMERELLA MOLLY (9) to win

RACE SEVEN

OUR MEMPHIS MAC (1) has been meeting much stronger opponents in recent starts than he faces up against here and with good early speed can look to break his Qld duck. 3 starts back he took the silver behind BLINGITTOTHEMAX and 5 starts back was beaten a head by GOALKICKER. This looks ideal.

IFYOUBELIEVE (3) has good early speed and from the gate can have a solid look at the 1. Fired off the arm at Redcliffe 3 starts back he worked to the front and was only claimed in the last few strides. He met strong AP fields at his next 2 outings and with 2 wins in 3 starts at the track is in the fight.

TASCOTT LADY (6) has place in 3 of her past 5 starts with her latest effort a strong showing from the front when only grabbed in the closing stages. Glued to the back of the 1 here she will be searching for the gaps.

GUTS (5) was luckless last start from gate 6 at Redcliffe when trying to find clear space and only finishing 3m from the winner. That followed an unluck outing and despite the gate is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: OUR MEMPHIS MAC (1), IFYOUBELIEVE (3), TASCOTT LADY (6), GUTS (5)
SUGGESTED BET: OUR MEMPHIS MAC (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

MY SECRET TORQUE (1)
was a winner here 4 starts back when pressing on from gate 4 to find the front and once in control held on for a narrow victory, but with a big 17m margin back to 3rd. She chased gamely for the bronze behind PARAVANI last start and from the gate looks the one to stop.

ROLLING ALONG (6) sat in the pocket trail behind JUST ROKIN at Redcliffe on Thurs and was trying to make a closing play when finishing a 6m 2nd.  Only beaten a half-neck 3 starts back he will likely get another cosy trip here and be trying to force into open space to challenge.

DOMSTIC ART (2) went down to the pegs last start over the AP 2138m trip and was keen in the run when grabbing the bronze. If able to settle handy without overdoing it early he can be chiming in late.

SWAFFHAM WATER (7) was a long way back in the pack last start when hitting the line in good order behind TAKITIMU EXPRESS. Tough from the breeze 3 starts back when only beaten a head, she can chime in here.

SELECTIONS: MY SECRET TORQUE (1), ROLLING ALONG (6), DOMSTIC ART (2), SWAFFHAM WATER (7)
SUGGESTED BET: MY SECRET TORQUE (1) to win
