RACE TWO

FEEL THE REIGN (3) is having a consistent season and last start added another minor placing to his tally to make it a top-3 in 17 of 20 outings for the term. From gate 5 last start he was making a late dive and went within a nose of victory. With good early speed he can look for the pegs to dictate.

TAKITIMU EXPRESS (7) will need a slice of luck in transit here but if able to land leaders back from inside the 2nd line, his chances rise exponentially. Too slick up the passing lane 2 starts back, he weaved a passage last start when attacking the line hard. With the cosy trip, he will be probing for openings.

BOB GAGE (9) has been in the top-2 oat 4 of his past 5 starts, the latest when tough from the breeze and finishing 2m from the winner. He will need to work from the gate here but is an exotic player.

SOLDIER OF FORTUNE (1) has started twice since returning from a spell and should be further tightened from his latest outing when a beaten fav from this same gate. He won’t be far away.

SELECTIONS: FEEL THE REIGN (3), TAKITIMU EXPRESS (7), BOB GAGE (9), SOLDIER OF FORTUNE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-3-7-9

RACE THREE

GAME WE PLAY (2) will take good benefit from his run here last week when resuming from a spell. Holding the front from gate 2 it was a sound return after setting a good tempo and fighting on when only 6m from the winner. Its been over 14 months since his last success, but he can look to chance that here.

VANDE VELDE (10) will be tightened from his latest start when 1st up from a break. Starting from gate 10 over the AP mile he was finding the line in good order when under 10m from the winner. Only beaten a neck behind SIR JULIAN here 2 starts back, his record on the triangle is strong and he can go close.

RAFFERTY DELIGHTS (3) resumed from a break the best way possible when finishing over the top of them here in a similar type race over the 2040m trip. Fitter from that, look for him finishing hard.

VANTO HANOVER (4) found running line cover here last start and chased hard to grab the silver when only 2m from the winner OHOKA COOPER. Settling handy to the speed she has place claims.

SELECTIONS: GAME WE PLAY (2), VANDE VELDE (10), RAFFERTY DELIGHTS (3), VANTO HANOVER (4)
SUGGESTED BET: GAME WE PLAY (2) to win

RACE FOUR

SPONDOOLEY (4)
was snagged back from gate 5 last start and after settling in a rearward position was attacking the line strongly in the closing stages to be 6m from the winner. Hitting the line strongly along the passing lane 2 starts back this looks his chance to regain some winning form.

JUSTA DALE (9) settled 3rd on the pegs last start and was hitting the line strongly in some tidy closing sectionals to grab the silver behind GOLDEN YEAR. Not really suited when forced to snag back from gate 6 at AP the start prior, his run 3 back was a top effort and with even luck will give this a shake.

DON’T BE JEALOUS (10) is after a hat-trick of victories after successive wins over the 1780m trip. Rolling forward from gate 6 she was too strong from the breeze last start and as 1 of 2 in the field bringing winning form can’t be ignored.

WEASEL (6) started from gate 9 over the 1780m here 2 starts back and working home wide off the track kept finding the line to grab the win. He can roll forward from the wide gate and is in the fight.

SELECTIONS: SPONDOOLEY (4), JUSTA DALE (9), DON’T BE JEALOUS (10), WEASEL (6)
SUGGESTED BET: JUSTA DALE (9) each-way

RACE FIVE

MO JARNEY (2) was 1st up from a freshen here 4 starts back and looked to lead throughout from gate 4 and after some cheap sectionals was grabbed on the line by BOB GAGE. Taking inside runs to grab the bronze in a 2nd division qualifier at his next start, the barriers have beat him his past 2. This looks his chance to dictate.

TELL THE FUTURE (1) was hustling early to hold them wide here 3 starts back and after leading them up over the 2040m trip faded in the closing stages when beaten 8m. Working hard in the breeze at her past 2 starts she looks set to be crossed early, yet with a soft trip can offer the closing shot.

KARLOO JOHNNO (5) appreciated the easier field last start at his 3rd Qld start. Working home wide off the track he was hitting the line strongly when 1m from the winner. Look for him finishing hard.

KEARNEY LANE (7) found her race here 2 starts back and from gate 3 was able to take them all the way. Chasing gamely behind the smart LEFT A TERROR last start she will get a great trip here.

SELECTIONS: MO JARNEY (2), TELL THE FUTURE (1), KARLOO JOHNNO (5), KEARNEY LANE (7)
SUGGESTED BET: MO JARNEY (2) to win

RACE SIX

ALI DOWNUNDER (5)
started from gate 10 here 2 starts back and was charging home when finishing 2m from the winner. Not suited from a wide gate last start over the AP 2138m, the run still had merit behind SMART AS CAMM BE in a slick last 400m. despite the gate he can take this.

OUR DOUG (1) started from gate 3 here last week and faded off badly after being forced to work in the breeze. The start prior he was hitting the line in good style to be within 2m of the winner after being buried in transit. With the improved gate he has the options and can take his chance.

OVERTHEMOON (7) will take good benefit from his latest outing when returning from a spell to start his 3YO term. With a cosy trip on offer here, look for him taking the snipers shot in the stretch.

NEWMERELLA LADYKAY (6) has no favours from the wide gate here but should appreciate getting back to the triangle after finishing behind BOULDER CITY at her past 2 starts. Just needs some luck in transit.

SELECTIONS: ALI DOWNUNDER (5), OUR DOUG (1), OVERTHEMOON (7), NEWMERELLA LADYKAY (6)
SUGGESTED BET: ALI DOWNUNDER (5) to win

RACE SEVEN

DATSGOOD (4) had an issue that saw her banished to the trials after failing to finish at AP 3 starts back. Trialling nicely, she returned with a tidy all the way victory here over the sprint trip. Forced to work too hard last start she can look to force the issue here and prove hard to beat.

OSCARS GLORY (8) had an early look from gate 4 here last start before chasing hard to finish behind the easy winner UNDERTHEKILT. Making the most of gate 2 at Marburg on Sunday he took them all the way and held on for a narrow victory. Settling in a handy position he can be ready to swoop.

CONTRARY COURAGE (9) resumes from a freshen and steps out for the Aileen Smith barn for the 1st time. She has met some handy performers in recent starts and with even luck in transit stays under notice.

LIGHTHORSE (1) lands his best gate for some time yet will need to hustle hard to protect the pegs. Winless in 35 outings on the triangle, he will get a cosy trip to give himself exotic chances.

SELECTIONS: DATSGOOD (4), OSCARS GLORY (8), CONTRARY COURAGE (9), LIGHTHORSE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: DATSGOOD (4) to win

RACE EIGHT

JUST JOSHIN (10)
has no favours from the gate but he strikes a winnable contest compared to what he has met in 3 runs back from a break. His return run was enormous after an early error and followed that with a game 2nd to REGAL ROCK. 3rd last start over the AP mile, he looks to have their measure.

IMMYS IDOL (1) has placed at her past 2 starts with the latest a 2nd from this gate after settling in the trail. Chasing hard she was the best of the rest behind the 12m winner MOLLY MONTANA. With another cosy run on offer here she can wait for the gaps to arrive to issue a closing challenge.

MINION GIRL (2) broke through last start after showing the early speed to find the pegs from gate 4 and once in control was a comfortable 12m winner. Lighting the lamps again she will be fighting hard.

SANTASTIC PRINCESS (4) made the most of gate 1 over the sprint trip here 2 starts back and taking control held on to claim a 2m victory. Finding early position will be key to her chances.

SELECTIONS: JUST JOSHIN (10), IMMYS IDOL (1), MINION GIRL (2), SANTASTIC PRINCESS (4)
SUGGESTED BET: JUST JOSHIN (10) to win

RACE NINE

NON PASSARE (1)
isn’t having much luck of late and last start as well as having to overcome gate 10 had his job made harder with a flat tyre in transit. This is his best gate for some time after facing some tough alleys and with the early options here gets his chance to turn the fortunes around.

GIVE ME A GO (7) struck trouble in the run here last time out and had his dad finished as a result. Still searching for a win this season after 8 attempts, he will be sweating on the 1 holding the front here and if that scenario eventuates, he will be ready to take his shot.

VIC HUNTER (2) was locked away on the pegs from gate 1 last start and was finding the line in good style after the soft run to grab the bronze. With some cover in the run he can finish hard again.

ZARAS ALL SMILES (8) will strip fitter from her latest start when returning to start her 3YO campaign. Making an error in the run she was out of play but with the right run here she can be sharper.

SELECTIONS: NON PASSARE (1), GIVE ME A GO (7), VIC HUNTER (2), ZARAS ALL SMILES (8)
SUGGESTED BET:
