RACE TWO

JUST JOSHIN (6) is providing plenty of frustration this campaign with his manners letting him down. He made a starting error last time but was huge in defeat when only 6m from the winner after catching the field and working home strongly. If his mind is on the job, he should be able to claim this.

SPECIAL RESERVE (1) makes her Redcliffe debut and arrives with placings in 5 of 6 outings this season. Last start she looked to have shaken the monkey off the back when leading them only to be grabbed up the passing lane in the closing strides. That followed defeat by a head and with the gate advantage will be gripping on.

ART SUNSET (8) will take good benefit from her debut here last week where she was game in defeat after facing the breeze from gate 5. Working hard and getting keen in the run she was only beaten 4m and with the experience can build on that here.

GRIZZLY MONTANA (4) will be further tightened from his latest outing when 2nd up from a break. That was at Marburg and he struck trouble in the run that ended his chances. With even luck he can feature.

SELECTIONS: JUST JOSHIN (6), SPECIAL RESERVE (1), ART SUNSET (8), GRIZZLY MONTANA (4)
SUGGESTED BET: JUST JOSHIN (6) to win

RACE THREE

SANTASTIC PRINCESS (1) started from this gate over this trip 3 starts back and with the speed to lead took them all the way to score an easy victory. She followed that with a tidy effort when the best of the chasing bunch to grab the silver behind MONTANA MALONE and dictating here looks hard to stop.

ENARMOURED (2) looked to take them all the way here 4 starts back from this same gate and was only grabbed in the losing stages. She has not drawn a marble at her next 3 and been trying to work into the races from back in the pack. With good early speed she can have a look and might even create space for the trail and can go well.

FUTURE FUN (4) was working home wide off the track last start and chased gamely to grab the silver behind the clear-out winner ONE LAST ROLL. He can look for early position and can feature here.

FLASHING GOOD TIME (8) wasn’t suited at AP last start when trying to chase over a strong mile. She was tough at Marburg 2 starts back from the breeze and at career start 150 can be around the money.

SELECTIONS: SANTASTIC PRINCESS (1), ENARMOURED (2), FUTURE FUN (4), FLASHING GOOD TIME (8)
SUGGESTED BET: SANTASTIC PRINCESS (1) to win

RACE FOUR

MAJOR GENERALJUJON (4)
faces a tricky gate here but comes into a race that isn’t flushed with early speed and that might be enough for him to get forward and if able to get to the pegs will prove tough to gun down. Beaten 6m when taking the pocket trail 2 starts back he will find this easier than his latest AP outing.

ELMS CREEK (5) started from this alley last time and was working home strongly wide off the track to be 5m from the winner. The start prior he struck trouble in the run but still returned a tidy effort after settling back in the pack and running on late. In a wide-open contest he will be right in the fight.

ONE TO TANGO (1) hasn’t really fired a shot this season but at her past 3 starts she hasn’t been suited from wider gates. Saved for one shot after a soft run in transit is her best pattern and with those conditions here can be sharper.

MONTEREY JACK (8) rolled forward from gate 4 last start and after working in the run was still duking it out late to get within a half-neck of victory. Placed in 5 of his past 6 he won’t be far away.

SELECTIONS: MAJOR GENERALJUJON (4), ELMS CREEK (5), ONE TO TANGO (1), MONTEREY JACK (8)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJOR GENERALJUJON (4) to win

RACE FIVE

CORPORAL LUNA (7) worked hard in the run last start when facing the breeze after rolling forward from gate 7 over the AP mile which normally isn’t his style. In for the fight he was digging in to hold on for the silver. With a cosy trip on offer he can be ready to strike when the gaps arrive.

BROADWATER (4) has been in the money at 4 of his past 6 starts and with the ability to work in his races can look to roll forward here to settle close to the speed. Snagged back from gate 6 last start he closed out in good order although never threatening and settling closer can be in for the fight.

DONNY JONES (1) found his race here 3 starts back and from gate 6 was able to find the running line and then finish hard to take a half-head victory. Not really suited his past 2 starts, he can look to capitalise on the gate here.

PROJECTILE (2) pressed on to find the front here 2 starts back and was setting a solid tempo over the 2040m trip when grabbed late. His last start had merit when working wide off the track and he won’t be far away here.

SELECTIONS: CORPORAL LUNA (7), BROADWATER (4), DONNY JONES (1), PROJECTILE (2)
SUGGESTED BET: CORPORAL LUNA (7) to win

RACE SIX

SKYFELLA CAM (10)
dis some early work in the run last start and over the longer 2280m trip wasn’t ideally suited. The start prior from gate 6 he worked home strongly from wide off the track to get within 2m of the winner. Despite the tricky gate there looks to be plenty of front-line tempo and he can arrive in time.

OUR BONDI BEACH (3) steps out on the triangle for the 1st time under race conditions after racing well at AP in recent starts since arriving in Qld. Last start from the pocket trail he grabbed the bronze behind the swooping winner PSYCHEDELIC. Game the start prior when gunned down by MARETTI, he can look to dictate.

WERELIVINGTHEDREAM (2) has good early speed and from the gate can look to fire the first shot and may then opt for cover. Starting fav 3 starts back in a Band 5 conditioned event, she will appreciate this type of contest.

IMA SEA STORM (8) hit the line in good order last start from a long way back and that followed a mid-field finish after forcing his way to the front over the 2040m trip. With the right cart home, he has place hopes.

SELECTIONS: SKYFELLA CAM (10), OUR BONDI BEACH (3), WERELIVINGTHEDREAM (2), IMA SEA STORM (8)
SUGGESTED BET: SKYFELLA CAM (10) each-way

RACE SEVEN

TASCOTT LADY (1) has a winless streak dating back to December 2017 however her recent form has been sound and has included placings at a tick under 50% of her races this season. Going into the Marburg to Albion Final with 3 successive placings she worked hard in the run from a wide gate. With the options here, she can look to arrest the winless streak.

SACHE GIRL (9) is at the other end of the win radar and lines up here looking to complete a hat-trick of victories. Sticking to the pegs last start the gaps kept appearing and she went home best to score a tidy win. That followed an all the way victory over the sprint trip and with even luck she is in the mix.

BLUE EYED CREATION (10) took on claiming company 3 starts back and after finding the front was game in defeat when 1.5m from the winner RORY MACH. The gate hurts but with the right trail he can feature.

EPIRUS BOY (7) will be sweating on the 1 looking to take them all the way and if that eventuates, he will be in the snipers spot ready to strike. Hitting the line strongly last start, look for him probing for openings.

SELECTIONS: TASCOTT LADY (1), SACHE GIRL (9), BLUE EYED CREATION (10), EPIRUS BOY (7)
SUGGESTED BET:
