RACE TWO

CONDAFEW (6) lands another tough gate but he might just have found the right race to overcome his long winless streak. Continually catching the eye in defeat, he was again hitting the line in nice order last start in a qualifier when 6m from MAJORDOIT. His 3rd here 3 starts back was strong and if he can get a rub of the green, he can arrive.

BURMACH (3) wasn’t suited last start when snagging back from gate 6and was too far back when the speed went on to make an impact. His run 2 starts back over the AP mile was a tidy effort from gate 7 when 7m from the winner THE DOORMAN. With an improved gate, he can challenge.

MONUMENTAL (1) has started inside the 2nd line at his past 2 starts in succession, the latest when fading out. With added fitness after 2 runs back from a spell, he can be sharper here.

HAVANA MOON (8) was locked away on the pegs last start over the 2138m at AP and worked home well to be 6m from the winner COOL SCOOTER. This is a drop from what he has been facing.

SELECTIONS: CONDAFEW (6), BURMACH (3), MONUMENTAL (1), HAVANA MOON (8)
SUGGESTED BET: CONDAFEW (6) to win

RACE THREE

STREET APPEAL (9) will step out on his home track of Redcliffe under race conditions for the 1st time and despite the 2nd line he will take some stopping in this series. Finding the front from gate 5 over the mile 2 starts back, he cruised home to a 12 victory and last start was a big winner from gate 12 in sharp time. Kept fresh, he looks the goods.

ETERNAL PROMISE (1) was shooting for a hat-trick of victories last start when finishing mid-field by the flying B MAC C. Taking them all the way over the mile the start prior in a new career PB, she arrived from back in the pack after starting from the 2nd line the start prior. From the gate she can feature.

SPEECHCRAFT (8) will take some benefit from his latest appearance when returning from a break. Chasing home behind the talented SPEECH IS SILVER, the pegs look the place for a cheap trip here.

GINGER MICKY (5) returns to start his 4YO term after some handy efforts last season. 4th in the G1 NSW Challenge Final 2 starts back, he has opened the pipes in a trial here on the triangle and is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: STREET APPEAL (9), ETERNAL PROMISE (1), SPEECHCRAFT (8), GINGER MICKY (5)
SUGGESTED BET: STREET APPEAL (9) to win

RACE FOUR

MAFFIOSO GIRL (2)
was sent forward in the early stages from the 2nd line here last start and with the power on in the opening half, was able to find the front and then dictate to score a smart win. With 16m up her sleeve and a further 22m back to 3rd, she will appreciate the front line and has this in her sights.

LITTLE BOLT (5) has a great record here on the triangle with 6 wins and 7 minors in his 20 appearances. Only 3m from the winner FEELINGFORARAINBOW here 2 starts back when returning from a break, he franked that run with a nice effort from gate 6 to score last start. He can go close.

TORQUE WITH ESTEEM (3) just sneaks into this race under the conditions and was a tidy last start winner in a mares qualifier. With good speed off the arm, she can settle handy and is in the mix.

DATITUDE (9) had placed in 4 successive runs leading into his latest outing when pressing ahead and putting the power on cruised in to claim a Trot Rods over 947m. The gate hurts, but he has claims.

SELECTIONS: MAFFIOSO GIRL (2), LITTLE BOLT (5), TORQUE WITH ESTEEM (3), DATITUDE (9)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 2-3-5-9

RACE FIVE

BOLT THE BOMB (1) will take further benefit from his latest start when 2nd up from a break since switching barns. Forced to do it tough when returning, he fought hard over the 2138m and then last start was sent to the post a red figure fav. Grabbed in the closing stages after setting the speed, he can look to fight them off here.

IMPRESSIVE DIAMOND (7) has placed at her past 3 starts and looks set to get the perfect run in transit from this gate. Eased back from gate 6 last start, she was hitting the line in good order to be within 3m of the winner. Beaten a head at each of her previous 2 starts, she will be coiled and ready to strike.

ROWDYS ACE (8) was a winner here 4 starts back when using the passing lane and followed that with a close-up 2nd. The pegs look the place to play here and he can get home the cheap way to chime in.

STUDLEIGH WILL (6) was shooting for a hat-trick of victories when forced to race tough in the breeze and do it the tough way off the 2nd line. He might need to roll the sleeves again here.

SELECTIONS: BOLT THE BOMB (1), IMPRESSIVE DIAMOND (7), ROWDYS ACE (8), STUDLEIGH WILL (6)
SUGGESTED BET: BOLT THE BOMB (1) to win

RACE SIX

ALI DOWNUNDER (3) resumes from a break and will step out for the 1st time as a 4YO. Last seen when within 2m of the winner BANGKOK BRAVADO over the 2138m at AP, that run followed a close- up effort behind the handy ESCALERA. With 3 trials to prepare for the return, he can scamper home.

COAST WARNING (5) didn’t have much go his way last start when returning from a break and finishing down the line after meeting with some trouble in transit. His past 3 starts have all been from the 2nd line and despite starting a little wide here, can look to be in the mix.

MERRYWOOD PEARL (2) started from gate 1 in last week’s Trot Rods and after not having the speed to hold a forward spot was left chasing a long way out. She can look to settle a little closer this time around and has the chance to find the podium.

SELECTIONS: ALI DOWNUNDER (3), COAST WARNING (5), MERRYWOOD PEARL (2)
SUGGESTED BET: ALI DOWNUNDER (3) to win

RACE SEVEN

BELLA BLONDIE (7) will take more benefit from her latest start when 3rd up since returning from a break. Improving at each start, she looked to capitalise from gate 1 last start and led them deep into the stretch when grabbed late to take the silver behind FAVOURITEHIGHLIGHT. She can take the closing shot here.

BRONSKI MACARENA (1) started from inside the 2nd line last start and was hitting the line in good order to be 2m from the winner. Grabbing the bronze over the AP mile 2 starts back in a stronger contest, she has the speed to lead here and if able to pinch a panel or 2 over the longer trip, can hold on.

BE ON THE SLY (6) was stuck looking for position last start from a wide gate and retreated after initially trying to move forward. Buried in the run 2 starts back, with even luck he can feature against these.

FEEL THE THRILL (5) shoots for a hat-trick of victories after successive wins here over the 1780m trip. Both wins have come when leading throughout and with early speed, the query here is the step up to the 2040m.

SELECTIONS: BELLA BLONDIE (7), BRONSKI MACARENA (1), BE ON THE SLY (6), FEEL THE THRILL (5)
SUGGESTED BET: BELLA BLONDIE (7) to win

RACE EIGHT

IFYOUBELIEVE (7) has had a super consistent season and ended a string of 10 successive placed performances last start when fading after setting the tempo over the AP mile. After a Marburg victory, the next 8 placings were at The Creek and while needing a slice of luck in this, he can take the prize.

BETTOR WATCH HIM (9) retreated from gate 5 last start over the sprint trip, finding himself too far back to make an impact when the speed when on yet still hitting the line in good order. Not too far away 2 starts back, limiting the work to get into the contest, he can feature.

WILLSINTOWN (10) took on the 2040m last start and couldn’t get into the contest in the closing stages when 8m from the winner. He hasn’t been far away of late and can podium in this line-up.

THE LAST DRAGON (1) has been freshened since his last outing when fading in the run after securing a perfect trip in the pocket trail. With the options from the gate he is an exotic hope.

SELECTIONS: IFYOUBELIEVE (7), BETTOR WATCH HIM (9), WILLSINTOWN (10), THE LAST DRAGON (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE NINE

With a combined total of 251 starts without a win amongst this maiden field, there will certainly be moment of glory for the winner. Placed at his past 2 starts, that glory can go to LANOCH BOY (4) who worked home nicely after initially retreating from gate 6 last start. Tough in the breeze the start prior when 2nd, this is within reach.

ABBEY DIADEMA (8) found the 1x1 trail last start from gate 4 and was trying hard to run down the winner when finishing in 2nd and 7m from the winner MAGHERA MAGGIE. 3rd here 2 starts back, she will be further tightened after 3 run back this campaign and with the right trail is in the fight.

DANCING IN MANOLOS (2) has been in the money at 4 of her past 6 starts, the latest at Tamworth when working home in good order for the silver. 3rd over the 1980m 3 runs back, the distance is a query, however it is with most of these.

QUALITY TIME (5) continued to roll forward from gate 4 over the sprint trip here 2 starts back and was in for the fight when holding on for 2nd. From the wide gate he can be thereabouts again.

SELECTIONS: LANOCH BOY (4), ABBEY DIADEMA (8), DANCING IN MANOLOS (2), QUALITY TIME (5)
SUGGESTED BET: LANOCH BOY (4) to win
