RACE ONE

CROFT BAY (3)
has been knocking on the door of a win including a nice closing finish behind FRANKIE ROCKS 3 starts back. Last start he was sent forward to face the breeze and dug in for the fight in a slick closing 800m when finishing 5m from the winner in 2nd place. He can do the work and take this.

THE SPACE INVADER (1) started fav last time out in a mid-week FFA and after releasing the front lost momentum when behind a tiring leader when he needed open track. Unsuited from gate 7 the start prior, he will be needing some luck again here but with track to work with can finish hard.

SPARKLING CULLECT (8) will be relying on the luck moreso than the 1 as he looks to be buried away in the run. Hitting the line strongly from well back last start, he will need his sharp closing sprint to flash late when the gap opens.

CASINO TOMMY (10) is racing in great touch and after successive 2nd placed runs off the 2nd line secured a good win here 2 starts back. Forget his last run from the stand start, back to the mobile he is right in this.

SELECTIONS: CROFT BAY (3), THE SPACE INVADER (1), SPARKLING CULLECT (8), CASINO TOMMY (10)
SUGGESTED BET: Flexi Trifecta 1-3-8-10

RACE TWO

CONSTANTLYSIDEWAYS (10) has the tough gate to overcome but he might just have the class and versatility to take this. He closed out late last start from the running line to be 6.5m from REMEMBER THEM in a nice closing 800m sectional. With the right cart into this he can finish over the top.

WRITTEN IN RED (3) will take good benefit from his latest start when returning off a freshen in the same race as CONSTANTLYSIDEWAYS when he was trying to muster late behind REMEMBER THEM. 2 starts back he hit the line in good order and can find good early position here to put himself in the fight.

ROYAL COUNSEL (6) took them all the way from gate 1 here 2 starts back as the fav and put the field to the sword in a sub 27 3rd panel. Last start she flashed late when a half-neck from MAJESTIC MAJOR. Just needs luck to swoop late.

IVE GOTTALIFE (1) resumes from a long spell and will be 1st up in close to 12 months. He was taking on some strong performers before the break and has trialled in good order. The gate helps and will be worth following.

SELECTIONS: CONSTANTLYSIDEWAYS (10), WRITTEN IN RED (3), ROYAL COUNSEL (6), IVE GOTTALIFE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: CONSTANTLYSIDEWAYS (10) to win

RACE THREE

SAMS A CHAMP (9) has returned from a spell in top order and has 3 wins in 7 outings. Taken back from the start off gate 7 last start he benefited from the even tempo and finished best down the centre of the track to sprint clear for a good win. He can trail through early to find a good position here and finish over the top again.

LIKEALLOFUS (2) was 2nd up from a break when looking to take them all the way and grabbed late by CHERISH THE MOMENT. He followed that with an all the way effort in a 2nd division band 5 and last start was grabbed late over the 2138m. He will be gripping on again here from the front.

GET IN THE GROOVE (4) was racing a shade below her best but worked her way back into form and has now been top 3 at her past 4 in succession. Claiming the silver behind SAMS A CHAMP last start she will be looking for early position and be closing late.

OUR MILLWOOD MAIZIE (1) does her best work when saved for a closing shot and gets conditions to suit here. 3m from BODHI TREE 3 starts back she will be ready to strike when the gap opens.

SELECTIONS: SAMS A CHAMP (9), LIKEALLOFUS (2), GET IN THE GROOVE (4), OUR MILLWOOD MAIZIE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: SAMS A CHAMP (9) to win

RACE FOUR

SICILIAN SLUMBER (1)
has returned to Qld in good order and hit the line well to grab the bronze behind LIKEALLOFUS. From inside the 2nd line last start he was buried away on the pegs and too far back for a serious challenge. With the options from the gate he gets his chance.

ARROKEEFE (9) looked to have found his race here on Tues but threw his chances out the window with a gate break. Banished to the outside, he will actually get to start from inside the 2nd line which will see him in a great position. He can atone for the disappointment of 5 days back.

JESSICA AMBER (5) found the front in a slick start before releasing the front and was then carted back by a tiring leader to lose momentum when needed. She can fire the early shot and is right in the mix in this line-up.

KARLOO MAC (2) faced some tough gates that didn’t suit and then took on a stand at Marburg where he was wide off the track. Last start at Redcliffe he hit the line in good order and settling handy here can flash late.

SELECTIONS: SICILIAN SLUMBER (1), ARROKEEFE (9), JESSICA AMBER (5), KARLOO MAC (2)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

MACH ALERT (14) is a brilliant beginner from the tapes and warmed up for this with a win over the marathon trip front from a 20m impost and controlled the tempo for a strong win. The bigger field size will make it a different scenario here, but he is in great touch and safe from the tapes is worth a ticket in a wide open contest.

JACKAROO BROMAC (13) was luckless over the 2138m trip here on Tues when he couldn’t get the gap along the passing lane and was squeezed up when 5m from SMOOTH SHOWGIRL. He closed out strongly behind BETTORTHANSPECIAL 2 starts back and with a good stand record will be swooping late.

GEORGIA GRACE (2) has stepped cleanly in both starts from the tapes in the warm up for this assignment and been beaten 5m on each occasion behind MACH ALERT and ALLELUIA. With the safe start she will be in a handy position which aids her chances.

ALLELUIA (15) started off 20m in a 2138m warm-up and was threading a run through the field to find the win up the passing lane. A passing lane winner over the mile 3 starts back, his stand start record is strong and with even luck in the big field is right in this.

SELECTIONS: MACH ALERT (14), JACKAROO BROMAC (13), GEORGIA GRACE (2), ALLELUIA (15)
SUGGESTED BET: MACH ALERT (14) to win

RACE SIX

PARISIAN ROCKSTAR (3)
sped out from gate 4 to find the front here 5 starts back and once in control fought them all off for the win. Again taking them all the way 3 starts back, he has worked in the run his past 2 and from this gate gets his chance to go straight to the front and take control.

OASIS DREAM (2) is racing well without cashing in having placed in 4 of his past 6 starts but has been winless this season. His run 2 starts back behind the star COLT THIRTY ONE was a good effort to claim the silver and last start was 6m from KEY LARGO. He is in the mix.

FRANCO TARIQ (6) was a Menangle claiming winner 2 starts back and claimed found his way in Qld. At his 1st run from gate 3, the run was a fair effort behind CLINTAL DO. He can be an improver here.

PALE BEAR BOO (9) is having a good season and found the line well to grab the bronze behind BETTOR BE LUCKY in a qualifier 2 starts back. This will be easier than the 4YO Triad Final he took on last start from gate 7 and he has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: PARISIAN ROCKSTAR (3), OASIS DREAM (2), FRANCO TARIQ (6), PALE BEAR BOO (9)
SUGGESTED BET: PARISIAN ROCKSTAR (3) to win

RACE SEVEN

SWEET AS (1) slid across from gate 5 here on Tues and worked her way to the front over the mile. Leading them into the stretch she was collared late by GERONIMO BEAU. From the ace gate she can look to take them all the way and with limited pressure to her outside looks hard to stop.

CORPORAL LUNA (8) was too far back off a 2nd line gate in the same race as SWEET AS on Tues which followed a tidy effort along the pegs when 7m from BUNDABURRA. From the gate he looks set to get the perfect trip and will be looking to take the closing shot along the pegs.

SPEEDIE MCCARDLE (4) found the front before releasing last start and running on for the bronze behind INVINCIBLE LOXTON. That was his best run in recent starts and building off that gets his chance to place again in this.

THE PACMAN (9) can be forgiven for his last start when striking trouble and the start prior was luckless when unable to find space. From this gate he can look to take a soft trip on the pegs and look for luck to chime into the exotics.

SELECTIONS: SWEET AS (1), CORPORAL LUNA (8), SPEEDIE MCCARDLE (4), THE PACMAN (9)
SUGGESTED BET: SWEET AS (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

PSYCHEDELIC (4)
has been meeting much stronger fields and gets into this race nicely under the conditions. Buried away last start from inside the 2nd line he finished mid-field behind the in-form SOMEPARTYSOMEWHERE. Luckless 2 starts back behind STATEMENT MADE, he looks to have a distinct class edge here.

FRANCO TOTEM (7) is going better than his numbers suggest in his 4 races this prep and looms as the main danger. Freshened since attacking the line from well back in the pack to be 5m from PSYCHEDELIC last start, he has no favours from the gate but will be charging home.

RED LUCK (6) put up a big effort at Marburg 2 starts back after making an error and then resetting and made solid ground on the tight track to be only a half-neck from the winner. He raced at AP on Thurs and looks to be a hope for the minor.

RIVERLEIGH JEFF (3) secured a win on the grass at Kilcoy 4 starts back and followed that with a passing lane 3rd behind SOMEPARTYSOMEWHERE. He found the line nicely last start and from a handy position has podium aspirations.

SELECTIONS: PSYCHEDELIC (4), FRANCO TOTEM (7), RED LUCK (6), RIVERLEIGH JEFF (3)
SUGGESTED BET: PSYCHEDELIC (4) to win

RACE NINE

ELENIARK (11)
was in good touch and had been racing well before being set and saved for the mares Triad Final. Starting from gate 6 she pressed on to the front and proved too strong to claim the win. Despite the gate she looks too classy for these and can make it a top 3 finish 12 starts in succession.

KATNISS (1) returned from a spell in good style at Marburg when leading all the way and setting an even tempo throughout. From the gate she can look to hold the early advantage and fitter from her return looks a solid quinella hope.

HEAVENS HINT (8) found her race here on Tues and with the right trail into the contest finished best to score a 2m victory. From the gate she gets the cosy trip here and will be ready to issue a closing challenge when the gaps open.

MISS CATALINA (3) was buried on the pegs last start and made ground when finding the space to run on and claim the bronze. That followed a 3rd behind MR MEDDLE at Redcliffe and she can place again here.

SELECTIONS: ELENIARK (11), KATNISS (1), HEAVENS HINT (8), MISS CATALINA (3)
SUGGESTED BET: ELENIARK (11) to win
