RACE TWO

OUR OVERANOVA (10) started from the 50m tape last start over this trip, and after settling in a nice spot in transit, held on for the bronze when 6m in arrears of the winner MAJESTIC SIMON. Freshened since that run, he won’t know himself stepping out in race 2, his last daylight appearance coming back in November of 2018. From 40m he can look to take this.

JEDDY R YA READY (3) found the 1x1 trail last start from the front tape over the 2138m and in a strong closing 800m set from the front, chased hard to grab 3rd behind GARLAND GREENE. 5m away here 3 starts back when splitting MAJESTIC SIMON and OUR OVERANOVA, he will be in the fight.

SPIRIT WALKER (1) loves the long trip and from this starting lane should be able to secure a perfect trip. Fighting hard from the death last start when 4m from the winner, she will throw it down here.

WEE MAN TROUBLE (6) was sent to the pegs for short-cuts last start from his 10m tape and never saw daylight when down the line. Closing nicely here 2 starts back, he will be swooping late.

SELECTIONS: OUR OVERANOVA (10), JEDDY R YA READY (3), SPIRIT WALKER (1), WEE MAN TROUBLE (6)
SUGGESTED BET: OUR OVERANOVA (10) to win

RACE THREE

He doesn’t land a gate too often so when SOMEHOWSOMEWAY (10) had the 1 marble drop into his lap here 2 starts back over the mile, they took the money and run, leading all the way to a comfortable 7m victory. Closing late last start from gate 5 when beaten a head, he lands another tough gate, but might just have the closing speed to knock them off.

SHEZ ALL STYLE (2) is still searching for her 1st victory since arriving in Qld, placed in 2 of her 4 starts here at The Creek. Releasing for the trail last start, she was 4m from the winner FEARLESS FAITH to hold 3rd which followed a mid-field finish after an early burn took its toll. With a cheaper lead, she can look to see it out.

CHUMP CHOP (1) had 1 win in 61 attempts, however has been well-dressed to transform into a fine Frenched Cutlet, winning 4 and placed 2nd on 2 occasions in his past 6 outings. Swooping home to claim the Marburg to Albion Final here 2 starts back, he looks set for a cosy trip.

OUR RIDGY DIDGE (5) eased to the running line form gate 4 last start, closing soundly after being briefly held-up when needing space as the leader slipped away. Not too far away 2 starts back, he can swoop here.

SELECTIONS: SOMEHOWSOMEWAY (10), SHEZ ALL STYLE (2), CHUMP CHOP (1), OUR RIDGY DIDGE (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

MACEY JAYDE (7)
can do plenty of things wrong and was again not on her best behaviour last start when making an error as they scored up and not even in the camera shot. Catching up and still only 8m in arrears of the winner BRIDGET BLUE CHIP at the finish line, it was a super effort. Beaten 3m the start prior, if she can get it right, she is the one to beat.

KINETIC KATE (1) was eased back from gate 4 last start in a mares qualifier over the 2138m trip before making a run wide around the home turn to get within 1.5m of the winner CHINOOK WINDS who had raced in the pocket trail. With a long strong of placings, she looks set for the right run to take the closing shot.

DEMETER (6) snagged back from gate 7 last start to find the pegs and look for the short-cuts home. Closing nicely she wasn’t far from the talented SPEECH IS SILVER which had followed a smart win over the 2138m. Back to mares only company is a big plus.
LAUGHING EMOJI (3) had the speed to lead from gate 2 last start and once in control over the 2138m was able to rip home a sub 28 closing panel to claim a 10m winning margin. From this alley she can fire the 1st shot.

SELECTIONS: MACEY JAYDE (7), KINETIC KATE (1), DEMETER (6), LAUGHING EMOJI (3)
SUGGESTED BET: MACEY JAYDE (7) to win

RACE FIVE

BETTATHANIDEAL (9)
will take great benefit from his latest outing when returning from a break. Having his 1st Aus start back in October off the back of 4 months on the sidelines, he was put away again. Resuming over the mile, he found the 1x1 from gate 7 when 3m short of the winner FEARLESS FAITH to claim the silver. With the right early trail and the added fitness, he looks hard to stop.

MONTANA LAD (2) rolled forward from gate 7 last start and was obliged to roll the sleeves to do it the tough way, fading under the workload to be 10m from the winner. Beaten the start prior when 4m in arrears, again after cutting the breeze, he can look for the front and having never had the opportunity to show what he can do when leading, might give plenty of cheek.

GOOD AS IT GETS (3) put the writing on the wall when 3rd here 2 starts back and 2nd up from a break. Unable to find position and doing plenty of work, that was franked when taking them all the way last start. He will be right in the fight again.

GOLIGHTLY (10) went to the pegs last start form gate 9 to look for luck and was buried in the run. A nice 3rd the start prior when returning from a spell, he will be fitter again and can be chiming in.

SELECTIONS: BETTATHANIDEAL (9), MONTANA LAD (2), GOOD AS IT GETS (3), GOLIGHTLY (10)
SUGGESTED BET: BETTATHANIDEAL (9) to win

RACE SIX

THE CRUISE MISSILE (3) set the tempo last start when spearing across from this same gate to take control in a 27.4 opener. Keeping a solid tempo, he was edged out by the smart TIZ A SIZZLER who has since claimed a further victory. With early firepower, he will be looking to take them all the way.

KOTIRO (4) made the most of the lamp lighting duties here 2 starts back over the mile when keeping the power on throughout to claim a new career PB rate and score a 4m winning margin. Fading last start after forced to do it tough in the breeze, the early burn will be crucial to her hopes.

MAJOR GENERALJUJON (8) was buried in the run last start over the mile and when the gaps opened was attacking the line with gusto, beaten a head. 3rd to SPEECH IS SILVER 2 starts back, he just needs some luck.

PINUP BOY (9) will strip fitter following his latest appearance when returning from a break. Using the passing lane after releasing over the 2138m and only a neck off the winner, he can chime in late.

SELECTIONS: THE CRUISE MISSILE (3), KOTIRO (4), MAJOR GENERALJUJON (8), PINUP BOY (9)
SUGGESTED BET: THE CRUISE MISSILE (3) to win

RACE SEVEN

This shape as a tricky contest with the barrier draw opening the race up somewhat where 3 of the selections put forward all came out of the same Junior Drivers race last week. CAUTIVAR (7) drew wide in that contest that was claimed by ULTIMATE AD and didn’t have much go his way with the 55.8 last 800m set in front, making it a big ask. Stung again by a wide gate, he can bounce back.

HANDSOME HERO (6) was eased from gate 5 in that race and didn’t have the smoothest passage when finishing down the line. Arriving over the top of them here 2 starts back to claim a 3m victory, that had followed a half-head 2nd. Despite the tough gate he can look to swoop late again.

ULTIMATE AD (4) was able to score victory when packing too many guns in the breeze to land the prize in tough style. After a hat-trick of wins here after a strong 2138m victory 2 starts back, he will likely need to grind it out again here, but can roll the sleeves.

SPRING CAMPAIGN (9) found his race last start at Redcliffe when sent forward from gate 5 over the 1780m. Working hard in the run, he was able to break clear in claiming a 12m victory in smart time. He can be in the mix.

SELECTIONS: CAUTIVAR (7), HANDSOME HERO (6), SPRING CAMPAIGN (9), ULTIMATE AD (4)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

SPEECH IS SILVER (10) added another victory to his CV last start as he continues to build his profile. Given plenty of time to balance up over the 2138m, when asked to slide up at the 500m, he ambled forward and soon put them away to claim a comfortable win. That made it successive victories over the middle distance from gate 10 and he can make it a threepeat from the gate in this.

NEWMERELLA SHARKIE (1) slid forward to race tough last start when fading under the workload in the closing stages to be 7m in arrears of the winner. Placed his previous 3 in succession, including a 2nd placing when beaten a nose hair, he can secure an easy trip and be ready to strike in the stretch.

LETTUCEFIRESTAR (2) made a mess of the start last time when taking on the Flashing Red under stand-start conditions. A winner at 3 of his previous 4 the return to the mobile is a big plus and with early speed, he will be gripping on.

JUMPING JOLT (3) settled 1x1 last start and was trying to take a closing shot when 5m in arrears of the winner LETTUCEFIRESTAR. He looks set for a similar trip and can look to fill the minors again.

SELECTIONS: SPEECH IS SILVER (10), NEWMERELLA SHARKIE (1), LETTUCEFIRESTAR (2), JUMPING JOLT (3)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 10 / 1-2-3 / 1-2-3-8-9

RACE NINE

SOLE AMBITION (7) went straight to the front last start in Sat night company from gate 2 over the 2138m where he was able to get away with grand larceny, a 64.8 opening half making it tough for anything chasing. Holding on to score over the in-form FEELINGFORARAINBOW, he will be fitter for the outing after being 2nd up from a break. Despite the tough gate, he is worth a chance to repeat.

MIDNIGHT MAN (9) will appreciate the return to mobile conditions after making a mess of things at release under the stand-start conditions last time. A winner in 4 of his previous 5 starts and only beaten a neck in the other outing, he can slide through early and look to issue a challenge.

SLICE OF HEAVEN (8) will be relying on some luck form this gate as he looks in danger of being pinned down to the poles. Slowly starting to get back to his best, he was in the fight when 3rd to SOLE AMBITION last start and will be probing.

INVINCIBLE LOXTON (4) is another that will enjoy the return to the mobile release after not having much idea when the tapes flew last week. Placed at 3 in succession, he then set the tempo prior to fading late behind HECTORJAYJAY. From this gate he will be in for the fight.

SELECTIONS: SOLE AMBITION (7), MIDNIGHT MAN (9), SLICE OF HEAVEN (8), INVINCIBLE LOXTON (4)
SUGGESTED BET: SOLE AMBITION (7) to win
