RACE TWO

ONE OFF (7) positioned in the running line last start from the 2nd line and was strong to the line in claiming the silver behind CC JONES over this trip. Not much went his way the start prior when easing from gate 4 to look for luck and short-cuts. He will need a rub of the green here, but can arrive.

SWORD AND SHILED (4) made the most of the pocket trail here 2 starts back when securing the easy trip and arriving over the top to claim a narrow victory over the 2040m trip. Beaten by a wide gate last start when wide off the track and trying to work into it, he can settle closer to challenge in this.

BUSTN FEELZ GOOD (2) couldn’t work into it last start when back in the pack and all the action was up front. Closing strongly to be within a half-neck of the winner 2 starts back, he is in the mix.

EULO FLYER (1) started from gate 3 over the sprint trip here 2 starts back and after securing the pocket trail was able to work home over the top to take the prize. Buried after easing from gate 5 last start, the gate is a big advantage to his chances.

SELECTIONS: ONE OFF (7), SWORD AND SHILED (4), BUSTN FEELZ GOOD (2), EULO FLYER (1)
SUGGESTED BET: ONE OFF (7) to win

RACE THREE

ONLY IN ROME (5)
isn’t having much luck with barriers in recent starts, however he is racing well from some sticky gates. From the six-hole last start, he was wide early in finding the breeze and was on for the fight when 4m from the winner CC JONES. A strong winner 2 starts back defeating NEWMERELLA LADYKAY, he can look to grind this out.

NON PASSARE (1) retreated from gate 6 last start, making a closing play after working home wide off the track around the home bend, finishing 4m from the winner. Leading them up here 3 starts back from gate 2, he was only collared late by HAVANA MOON. From the gate he can try to repel them.

MEGA STAR (3) shoots for the hat-trick after a dominant win here last time out. Content to roll the sleeves for the tough stuff, he put them away and cruised home to take a big 19m victory. He is right in the fight.

STUDLEIGH WILL (7) was keen in the breeze last start over the AP mile and was in for the fight when within 4m of the winner. With a soft trip, he can be thereabouts in this contest.

SELECTIONS: ONLY IN ROME (5), NON PASSARE (1), MEGA STAR (3), STUDLEIGH WILL (7)
SUGGESTED BET: ONLY IN ROME (5) to win

RACE FOUR

CHROMOZONE (2)
started from gate 5 last start when sent forward and pressing on was able to take control over the sprint trip. Running even panels, she was able to pull clear in scoring a comfortable 11m victory. Not suited in the breeze the start prior, mares only company is in her favour and she can arrive.

MUCHO GUAPA (1) will take further benefit from her latest appearance when 2nd up. Snagged back from gate 6 when resuming, she was finding the line strongly in the closing stages. Franking that run last start, she kept them wide from this gate and went to the line an easy 10m winner. With a cosy trip, she can repeat.

TORQUE IS MY GIRL (8) sat in the pocket trail last start from inside the 2nd line and packed too many guns up the passing lane to claim a 4m victory. Back to mares only suits an she is right in the fight.

ART SUNSET (4) was a winner here 2 starts back in a similar race when finishing best to claim the prize. Making a costly error last start when start as the race fav, she can search for atonement here.

SELECTIONS: CHROMOZONE (2), MUCHO GUAPA (1), TORQUE IS MY GIRL (8), ART SUNSET (4)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-4-8

RACE FIVE

MISTER FAHRENHEIT (4)
took on the AP mile last start from gate 3 where he was crossed from his outside, but continued to press on to find the front by the 1000m. Fading under the exertion to get to the front, he was down the line. Returning to the triangle is a big plus and this looks within reach.

TULHURST KATE (2) started a red figure fav last start from the 2nd line and after securing the 1x1 trail, looked to be in a great position to strike. Unable to go with them in the closing stages, she was 13m in arrears of the winner MUCHO GUAPA. Closing strongly the start prior, she can bounce back.

TORQUE IS TRENDING (5) showed the benefit of returning to maiden company here 2 starts back when proving too strong in the breeze when opening his account. Best of the chasers last start behind the big winner MEGA STAR, he can feature in this.

WILD ABOUT TOWN (3) showed improvement last start after spearing across to take control prior to releasing for the trail. Finishing 3m from the subsequent winner BIG IN AMERICA, he can challenge.

SELECTIONS: MISTER FAHRENHEIT (4), TULHURST KATE (2), TORQUE IS TRENDING (5), WILD ABOUT TOWN (3)
SUGGESTED BET: MISTER FAHRENHEIT (4) to win

RACE SIX

NIKALONG HENRY (8) will be further tightened following his latest outing when 2nd up from a spell. Sent around them early to find the breeze, he was able to grind it out and prove too strong in even sections to claim the win. This doesn’t look any tougher and with similar tactics can go back-to-back.

LA BELLE CHEVAL (2) is another that will take good benefit from her latest outing when 2nd up from a break. Placed in both return runs, she found the line in nice style when 1st up after easing from gate 6. Grabbed late by NIKALONG HENRY last start after leading them up, she will be fighting hard again.

TRACES OF TARA (3) eased from gate 4 last start over the 2040m but couldn’t really go on with it in the closing stages. A winner over the sprint trip here 3 starts back, she can settle handy and is in the mix.

WEASEL (1) broke a long run of outs last start to arrive in a slogging go to the line and claim a 1.5m victory. With the right trip from the good gate, he can be around the make again in this.

SELECTIONS: NIKALONG HENRY (8), LA BELLE CHEVAL (2), TRACES OF TARA (3), WEASEL (1)
SUGGESTED BET: NIKALONG HENRY (8) to win

RACE SEVEN

WECANONLYHOPE (7)
sat in the trail over the sprint trip last start but was unable to go with them when the power went on. Runner-up here 2 starts back behind VOODDO FELLA, she will get a nice run in transit and in a race where many of these might struggle at the 2040m, she can make the last shot a winning one.

DANCING IN MANOLOS (1) led them up from this gate last start over the sprint trip with the opening panel proving too costly in 28.3, as she was unable to hold them off late. Holding on for the silver, she can use the gate to take the early advantage here and pinching a panel or 2 can fight hard late.

ELLE JAY (3) will take some benefit from her latest start when resuming from a spell. Eased from gate 6 in that contest, she was trying to make late ground when mid-field to PERFECT FEELING. She has claims.

REDDY FIRE (4) somewhere near his best would be too good for these, however it has been a while since he has been at that level. Taken back from wide gates at his past 2 starts, he is a chance here.

SELECTIONS: WECANONLYHOPE (7), DANCING IN MANOLOS (1), ELLE JAY (3), REDDY FIRE (4)
SUGGESTED BET: WECANONLYHOPE (7) to win

RACE EIGHT

JEWELS AFFAIR (6) has been to the track twice and been runner-up at both career outings. Making an error on debut, she was locked away on the pegs and then caught the eye in finishing strongly. Banished to the outside draw, she was in for the fight from the breeze last start and returning to maiden company can open her account.

OCEANSIDE (7) has been the bridesmaid in 4 of his 7 trips around the triangle, the latest when sent forward to do it the tough way outside the leader as a red figure fav. Whacking away, he couldn’t land the winning blow, finishing 1m in arrears of the winner. Following a smart beginner, he can challenge.

ILLUMINOSCITY (1) sat in the 1x1 here 2 starts back and was best of the chasing bunch behind the big winner MAC SWEENEY. Forget her last start when making an error, she will be griping on here.

TALENT IN SPADES (5) went to the pegs last start and was probing for runs that never opened in time when grabbing the bronze. Runner-up the start prior, she can find the podium again in this.

SELECTIONS: JEWELS AFFAIR (6), OCEANSIDE (7), ILLUMINOSCITY (1), TALENT IN SPADES (5)
SUGGESTED BET: JEWELS AFFAIR (6) to win

RACE NINE

JOY TO ALL (7) is a full-sister to the G1 Triad winning filly of last season JIGGLE AND JIVE. By the champion sire Bettors Delight this filly is also trained by Aileen Smith and has trialled well in readiness for her debut. Closing nicely over the last 400m in a recent trial, the early options as the lone 2nd line runner appeal.

LOVE YOUR WORK (6) started from this same gate last start when sent forward in the early stages. In a nifty piece of steering, the winning move came when she was angled to find the pocket trail at the turn out of the home straight on the 1st occasion. Making the closing shot a winning one, she will take good experience from the win.

AMARONE (3) is a Roll With Joe filly on debut for Phil Mitchell, being the 1st foal out of the 3-win race mare Margins. With a sound trial behind JOY TO ALL to prepare, she can be thereabouts.

BIG GEM MONTANA (1) started from a wide gate in debut when snagged back early before making another wide run attempting to get into the contest. From this gate, he can be an improver.

SELECTIONS: JOY TO ALL (7), LOVE YOUR WORK (6), AMARONE (3), BIG GEM MONTANA (1)
SUGGESTED BET:
