RACE ONE

ALTANA BLUE (9)
was a winner here 3 starts back when working home when wide out and finishing best to score. Sent forward last start from the 2nd line he found the breeze and went within a head of victory. With frontline tempo he can finish over the top.

TARIN KOWT (1) will be looking for the gaps when the space comes and look to offer a closing challenge. 2 starts back he took the trail from this same gate and finished hard to take the prize. He was too far back last start from the 2nd line to offer and gets his chance here.

BELLA RIPPIN (4) resumes from a spell and comes into the race without a trial. Prior to going for a break she put together 3 successive placed runs including a 2nd from gate 9 over the 1780m trip. Her Redcliffe record is strong and the solid tempo will help her chances.

BLAZING VC (2) lines up for a hat-trick of wins after claiming victory at Marburg and then here over the 2040m trip. Holding the pocket trail from gate 7 she finished best when the passing lane arrived and sprinted sharply to a 4m victory. From the handy gate she has some claims.

EARLY SPEED: 3 (likely leader), 2, 4
SELECTIONS: ALTANA BLUE (9), TARIN KOWT (1), BELLA RIPPIN (4), BLAZING VC (2)
SUGGESTED BET: ALTANA BLUE (9) to win

RACE TWO

LAZY BLAZE (4) will strip fitter following his return to the track from a 3 month break last start when finding the line in good order behind LUVU GRAZAELLA to grab 3rd. His last prep was closed out with victory and from this gate can pull the trigger early and in this line-up can control and dictate terms.

SNAKES N LADDERS (2) claimed the bronze 3 starts back after racing behind the leader when starting from gate 1 and went within a neck of victory. His past 2 starts have been from wide gates off the front line and been back in the pack. Settling closer from this gate he can be swooping late.

SEVEN RIPPIN ACES (6) returns for his 3YO term after rounding out the 2YO season with a silver against older horses a Tamworth. Starting the fav off gate 1 in that event he was beaten 1.5m as the fav. That followed a 3rd at AP over the 1660m and despite a wide gate and no trial, he is worth keeping a watch on.

SPLASH OF GOLD (5) has been runner-up at her past 2 starts, beaten under 3m on each occasion. 2 starts back she was grabbed late when looking to lead throughout and last start was forced to work in the run when sitting outside the leader and grabbed late by LATIN BEATS. Finding position without working too hard will help.

EARLY SPEED: 4 (likely leader), 3, 5
SELECTIONS: LAZY BLAZE (4), SNAKES N LADDERS (2), SEVEN RIPPIN ACES (6), SPLASH OF GOLD (5)
SUGGESTED BET: LAZY BLAZE (4) to win

RACE THREE

SPONDOOLEY (7) will need plenty of luck from this gate as he is in danger of being buried away. 5 starts back he went within a nose of victory and followed that with a 2m 2nd to MAGNUSSEN. His last start had merit when taken back from a wide gate and with a cosy trip and plenty of tempo, he will be flashing late.

ELLIOTT BROMC (3) will take further benefit from his latest start when buried away from an inside 2nd line gate and not getting the run when he needed it. Sent for a break following a 2040m win 3 starts back he resumed with a 3rd to REDS JET STAR. Forcing the issue here he can go close to taking this.

BLACKLIST (6) makes his Qld debut for Jack Butler and arrives with some handy form-lines to his name. 2 starts back at Parkes he was sent to the front and once in control kept them chasing to score as a very short priced fav. The wide gate dents his hopes, but if he can find early position, he can be thereabouts.

PROJECTILE  (1) was the runner-up in a 2nd division qualifier 3 starts back when finishing 6m in arrears of JAKES A JOY after racing in the pocket trail from gate 1. Working home strongly from back in the pack last start, from the improved gate he will be looking for the gaps to take a closing shot.

EARLY SPEED: 3 (likely leader), 1, 4, 6
SELECTIONS: SPONDOOLEY (7), ELLIOTT BROMC (3), BLACKLIST (6), PROJECTILE (1)
SUGGESTED BET:  SPONDOOLEY (7) each-way

RACE FOUR

MAKE A POINT (2) was a passing lane runner-up 2 starts back when finishing 2.5m from ONE LAST ROLL. He found hid race last start and was sent forward from gate 6 to assume control and once dictating was never in doubt to score an 8m victory. He can force the issue from the draw nd go back-to-back.

HOT ROD HEAVEN (1) was a winner 5 starts back from gate 5 when working home wide off the track in the closing stages to take a head victory. 2 starts back he was the runner-up when looking to hold the front from gate 1 but was crossed early and used the passing lane. From the ace gate he will get every chance.

BARON JUJON (4) was a strong winner from the 2nd line last start when working home wide off the track and running into the race in good order. Last start he was working in the run when pressing forward to the breeze but couldn’t see it out. With even luck to position, he will be in the mix.

THEREACHANCE (5) forced the issue 2 starts back when working to the front and once leading them up had enough in the tank to hold on. Not suited from gate 6 last start he will need some factors to go his way from this gate, but with the right luck he can podium.

EARLY SPEED: 1, 2, 4
SELECTIONS: MAKE A POINT (2), HOT ROD HEAVEN (1), BARON JUJON (4), THEREACHANCE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: MAKE A POINT (2) to win

RACE FIVE

MY MOJO (8) will take good benefit from his latest win which was his 2nd up run after returning from a freshen. He worked home nicely from the 2nd line 2 starts back and then here last week came with a well-timed run to arrive for a 3m victory. He will need some factors to go his way from the gate but is up to the task.

THE CARINGBAH KID (7) has been in the top 3 at 4 of his past 5 starts including an AP win from gate 1 over the 2138m. Settling in front he was never stretched to score a 5m victory. Forced to work in the breeze last start he couldn’t finish them off and while he needs luck from this gate, he can take the last shot.

TRAIN WRECK (1) has finished top 3 at 4 of his past 5 starts, the latest a win over the 2040m trip here on the triangle. Working forward from gate 4 he found the breeze and was too strong to score. He will need to hustle early, but from the front he can look to take them all the way.

BHAPPY (2) has been runner-up at each of his past 3 starts, the latest when finishing 1m in arrears of THE HARLEM HAMMER. 2 starts back he set the tempo when leading them up in a track record at Marburg but couldn’t hold on. He can take an early shot and has podium claims.

EARLY SPEED: 1 (likely leader), 2, 4
SELECTIONS: MY MOJO (8), THE CARINGBAH KID (7), TRAIN WRECK (1), BHAPPY (2)
SUGGESTED BET: MY MOJO (8) to win

RACE SIX

SAMMYS A KRIDEN (5)
will be further tightened following his latest run when 2nd up from a break. Pressing forward from gate 5 he was doing the hard work in the breeze and fought on well in a slick rate for the 1780m trip. The gate does him no favours, but a similar run will nearly see him home in the field.

IM NORMA JEAN (1) has the gate to suit but does face a rise in class to what she has been facing. Last start she took the trail from this gate over the AP 1660m trip when 4.5m from the winner BET IM SPECIAL. That followed a well beaten effort in a Rising Stars final and if she can sneak a stanza from the front she can feature.

THE PACMAN (7) found the front in this similar race last wek and set a solid tempo from the front in looking to take them all the way but finished 1.5m in arrears of the winner that took the passing lane. Sweating on the 1 looking to lead throughout, he will be in the mix.

ELLBEEBLISS (2) will strip fitter following his Qld debut where he started fav from gate 4. Working forward to find the breeze, he set a solid tempo in holding on for the silver. He can have an early look for the pegs here and has claims for the exotics.

EARLY SPEED: 1 (early leader), 2, 3, 5
SELECTIONS:  SAMMYS A KRIDEN (5), IM NORMA JEAN (1), THE PACMAN (7), ELLBEEBLISS (2)
SUGGESTED BET: SAMMYS A KRIDEN (5) to win

RACE SEVEN

OSCARS GLORY (10) had placed in 3 successive runs leading in to his last start where he was sent forward from gate 6 and after working to the front made an error to end his chances. He will need to work around the field at some stage from the gate but looks to get his chance doing that in this field.

VILLAGE TREASURE (1) was buried away on the pegs last start and couldn’t get into the contest when the sprint went on just before she found space. From this gate she can look to make the most of the advantage and in front will be gripping to the lead.
CHEYENNE WARRIOR (9) has been close up his past 3 starts, beaten no further than 5m in each. Last start he pressed forward early from gate 4 and received some cover and 3 starts back was within 3m of the winner SHADOW PASS. HE has podium claims in this line-up.

SAND SAFARI (5) looked to take them all the way last start over the 2040m trip and led into the stretch before being grabbed by BLAZING VC when taking 3rd. A beaten fav 2 starts back again when looking to lead throughout from gate 1, from the wider gate here she has some claims.

EARLY SPEED: 1(likely leader), 2, 5
SELECTIONS: OSCARS GLORY (10), VILLAGE TREASURE (1), CHEYENNE WARRIOR (9), SAND SAFARI (5)
SUGGESTED BET: OSCARS GLORY (10) to win

RACE EIGHT

DIABOLO STAR (3)
will strip fitter following 1 run back from 12 months on the sidelines. Spearing out from gate 5 when resuming he found the pegs before releasing and the run to hold 2nd was full of merit. With the improved gate and fitness he can look to find the pegs and dictate here.

EMARGEE (10) should find this race a few shades below what she has been meeting. Leading early last  start before releasing she was well covered behind ROCKY CARRINGTON which followed a luckless run from a wide gate at Tamworth. With the right trail she can podium.

RED CASTLE WARRIOR (1) was banished to the trials at his latest start for a sub-par effort. With a pair of handy trials he returns and while doesn’t have much to support his cause by way of results, from the gate in this field he should enjoy a good trip and can fill a placing.

BETONTHEBAY (2) should be able to settle handy to the speed here and following a below best effort last start can look to turn around his fortunes. In a wide open contest for the minors, he can podium.

EARLY SPEED: 3 (likely leader), 1, 5
SELECTIONS: DIABOLO STAR (3), EMARGEE (10), RED CASTLE WARRIOR (1), BETONTHEBAY (2)
SUGGESTED BET: DIABOLO STAR (3) to win
