With Melbourne Cup day behind us for another year, the Albion Park Harness Racing Club will play host to another strong ten race program this Saturday night.

And the opening race has attracted an even field of a dozen pacers with several in-form runners set to contest the UBET Pace over the distance of 2138m.

Gambling giant UBET is offering several jackpots throughout the program including a guaranteed $50,000 Trifecta pool on the opening race plus a $10,000 jackpot.

This race should produce value because many have excellent claims given their current form lines.

Last start winners include Im Johnny Jet, Annika Magic and Frankie Rocks.

The key runner is the Grant Dixon prepared Frankie Rocks, resuming since winning back on August 12 but has looked sharp in two recent public trials.

Others to be considered strongly include Applause, Murano, Diesel Shannon, Machin Out, Withalotofluck and Lancelot Bromac.

Another highlight is race 3 on the program, the ‘Remembering The Red October’ Pace over the distance of 2138m.

Triple Queensland Horse of the Year Avonnova is the pacer to beat after landing the inside gate, the highly decorated gelding is a last start winner at the track and trip in a time of 1:54.9.

Mark Dux will take the drive for the first time.

The Red October, prepared by Peter Donohoe throughout her career, earned a strong following with a host of classy performances at Albion Park during the late 1990’s.

A winner of 22 races from 48 starts, the daughter of Vanston Hanover shot to prominence following her triumph in the 1997 Australian Oaks at Moonee Valley defeating Kates First and Dougals Dream.

A Quaddie jackpot of $5,000 is also slated; the quaddie will be staged on races 2, 3, 4 & 5.

UBET have also slated $2000 jackpot trifecta pools on races 3, 4 and 5.
