RACE TWO

DOWNTOWN LUCCA (1) should take benefit from his latest run when returning from a spell. Buried away in the run he couldn’t work into things in the closing stages. With good early speed and in a wide open contest, he can look to protect the pegs and is worth a throw at the stumps.

FEELGOODCHICK (8) found the front off gate 2 here 3 starts back and fought hard to hold on for 2nd behind IMPETUOSO. Her next outing was a tidy effort when 6m from CLASSYTOFF and last start didn’t have the best of luck. With the right run in transit she is a live chance of breaking her maiden tag.

HOLDINGNO CURRENCY (7) held the position behind the leader here 2 starts back and held on for 3rd after being marginally impeded by a galloping leader. With even luck he will be thereabouts.

COWGIRLCHICK (6) will need plenty of luck from inside the 2nd line but if the gaps do appear she can chime in late. Only 4m away here 2 starts back she just needs an opening in this very open affair.

SELECTIONS: DOWNTOWN LUCCA (1), FEELGOODCHICK (8), HOLDINGNO CURRENCY (7), COWGIRLCHICK (6)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

SPRINGFIELD SPIRIT (7)
took on a much stronger race here 3 starts back and was working wide off the track when not really making an impression. Buried on the pegs last start he sprinted sharply when the gap opened. On the back-up from Fri night, he looks to carry the class to defeat the map.

DOMESTIC ART (4) has a great record here at Marburg and moving in 1 gate closer with the early scratching will work in his favour. Worried out of it from in front last start after setting a solid tempo, his run 2 back at AP was strong and he can throw down the challenge in this.

RISKY BUZINESS (1) has had more than 12 months since his last victory but lands the gate to look to take full advantage here. His past 3 have been on the north-west NSW circuit and with gate 1 he can be sharper.

SELECTIONS: SPRINGFIELD SPIRIT (7), DOMESTIC ART (4), RISKY BUZINESS (1)
SUGGESTED BET: SPRINGFIELD SPIRIT (7) to win

RACE FOUR

REDRIVERDEBBA (9)
stepped straight to the front at Redcliffe on Tues and once in control never looked in danger, trotting cleanly to a 10m victory. That had followed a strong finishing run behind NORTHERN MUSCLE. Despite the big handicap, she is in good touch and can go back-to-back.

STONED AGAIN (10) loves the Marburg track and despite lining up off 40m, will be hard to beat in this. Last start from a 30m tape he was quickly away and had worked his way to the front in a lightning move and was a comfortable winner. With similar tactics he can go mighty close.

NORAHS FLING (4) started from this tape here 3 starts back and did a good job to grab the bronze behind NORTHERN MUSCLE when beaten 7m. Not suited when facing the breeze at her next start, she can be sharper here.

BOURBONONTHEROCKS (1) did everything right on debut when stepping well and then covered in the run found the line nicely to grab 3rd behind STONED AGAIN. With added experience she has podium claims again.

SELECTIONS: REDRIVERDEBBA (9), STONED AGAIN (10), NORAHS FLING (4), BOURBONONTHEROCKS (1)
SUGGESTED BET: REDRIVERDEBBA (9) to win

RACE FIVE

GRINYDONTCHA (2) wasn’t full comfortable last start when down the line behind ROYAL TAZ. That followed a trio of wide gates which don’t really suit her pattern and with the improved alley into gate 2, she can be sharper.

LIVE IN STYLE (8) returns from a break and also returns to Qld. Last campaign she raced in NSW with her most recent starts from some wide gates. 5 starts back she was 2nd to the G1 winner Rockmemama at Newcastle and with even luck can feature in this line-up.

FLASHING GOOD TIME (4) worked to the front from gate 3 before releasing the front and using the passing lane over the 1780m at Redcliffe. Winless for 12 months now, she has podium claims.

EULO FLYER (3) was buried away on the pegs last start and never really had a decent crack at them. His run here 4 starts back was a tidy effort and at career start 100 can look to chime into the money.

SELECTIONS: GRINYDONTCHA (2), LIVE IN STYLE (8), FLASHING GOOD TIME (4), EULO FLYER (3)
SUGGESTED BET: GRINYDONTCHA (2) to win

RACE SIX

LYNCHMAN (1)
will be on the short back-up from Friday and lands his best gate for some time. Doing his best work when able to be out in front or in the pocket trail, he gets conditions to suit here and despite showing some poor numbers, can capitalise on the improved alley.

ROWDYS ACE (6) worked home in good order at Redcliffe last start from a 2nd line gate and was able to grab the bronze. His run here 3 starts back was a nice effort when locked away on the pegs and finishing 5m from LURAH. He will need a slice of luck but if the gaps open he can challenge.

SLIPASLYGRIN (4) has landed some tough gates at his past 3 starts which have dented his chances. His run 4 starts back from gate 3 was a sound effort in much stronger company behind PATERNITY SUIT and he can feature.

CAESAR COURT (2) will appreciate this alley after facing some wider gates in recent outings. With good early speed he can take an early shot and if crossing will take plenty of stitching.

SELECTIONS: LYNCHMAN (1), ROWDYS ACE (6), SLIPASLYGRIN (4), CAESAR COURT (2)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

DIAMONDSFROMHEAVEN (3) will be second-up after returning from a spell here last time out. Rolling forward to find the breeze from gate 5 she was in for the fight to hold on for the bronze. Fitter for that run, she can look to settle handy and prove too strong in the closing stages.

THE LINEMASTER (1) will be first-up in Qld for Ryan Veivers and has his first outing since October 6. Struggling to display his best this time in, the change of scenery and the astute Veivers polish can see a turn-around in his fortunes and from the gate can look to protect the pegs.

EXPRESS PASS (2) started off the 2nd line here last time out and tracked home in good order to claim the bronze. That followed a string of unsuitable wide gates. From this alley he can be sharper.

LIGHTHORSE (6) has worked hard in the run at his past 2 starts when facing the breeze. With a trailing gate he can enjoy a cosy trip and will be probing for openings.

SELECTIONS: DIAMONDSFROMHEAVEN (3), THE LINEMASTER (1), EXPRESS PASS (2), LIGHTHORSE (6)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-3-6

RACE EIGHT

OUR DIAMOND EDITON (2)
will strip fitter for her return from a break here when facing the breeze from this gate and fighting hard when 8m from the winner SIR SEMPER FIDELIS who led all the way. Pressing the issue early she can look for the pegs and from the front would be hard to catch.

IMPETUOSO (5) pressed ahead to the breeze from gate 4 here 4 starts back and despite working in the run was able to forge clear for a comfortable win. A strong all the way winner at Redcliffe 2 starts back he can get forward and will be right in the fight.

OMINOUS FLYER (3) returns from a break after striking trouble at his last run. He comes into this without a trial but from the good gate can settle handy and will be in the mix.

PACIFIC COIN (4) started from gate 1 at Armidale 2 starts back and didn’t have the speed to hold the front and had to settle for the silver. Settling handy he can chime in late in this.

SELECTIONS: OUR DIAMOND EDITON (2), IMPETUOSO (5), OMINOUS FLYER (3), PACIFIC COIN (4)
SUGGESTED BET: OUR DIAMOND EDITON (2) to win
