RACE TWO

MISS RUBY SUNSHINE (4) makes her Qld debut for the Chantal Turpin barn arriving from NZ. The 3YO filly ranks as a half-sister to Turpin’s smart gelding MATTGREGOR and arrives a one-start winner in 6 NZ outings. With 2 trials to open the pipes for her 1st up run, the 2nd of those suggests this is well within reach.

SIRIUS VICKI (8) caught the eye last start when things didn’t go her way after locking wheels at a crucial point and losing all momentum. When she finally worked into open space, her chances were confetti, yet she really rallied late to be 5m from the winner MILLWOOD TILLY. Just needs some luck.

COUNTRY RUN (5) has been runner-up at both Qld starts since arriving form Vic, with the latest at Redcliffe when buried in the run and probing for open space. With even luck he can be in the mix.

CHEESANDKISSES (9) returned to start her 3YO campaign with a tidy 2nd from back in the pack, hitting the line nicely in the closing stages. She will need to work home late again but can chime in.

SELECTIONS: MISS RUBY SUNSHINE (4), SIRIUS VICKI (8), COUNTRY RUN (5), CHEESANDKISSES (9)
SUGGESTED BET: MISS RUBY SUNSHINE (4) to win

RACE THREE

MILLWOOD TILLY (10) returned to start her 3YO term in great order last time out and despite doing the heavy lifting in the breeze, packed too many guns to hold on for the win, her 1st at The Creek. That was off the back of a smart trial to prepare and despite the tough gate, she can go again.

SUNNY RICE (11) has faced the starter on 3 occasions and shown that win is not too far away when she strikes the right conditions. A smart 2nd on debut, she got it wrong at Redcliffe when 2nd up yet was still an eye-catcher. Working home nicely last start, she can be throwing down a challenge.

THE RAGNBONE MAN (2) settled in the running line last start and from there was never a factor when down the line. With the opportunity to get forward, he can be sharper in this.

TAPTHEKEG (9) didn’t have much go his way last start when forced to snag back from a wide gate and then was just too far back chasing against the tempo. With the right early trail, he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: MILLWOOD TILLY (10), SUNNY RICE (11), THE RAGNBONE MAN (2), TAPTHEKEG (9)
SUGGESTED BET: MILLWOOD TILLY (10) to win

RACE FOUR

THATS HOW WEROLL (12)
has the tricky gate to overcome, yet he has been catching the eye of late and although needing favours in his races, he can arrive in time here. Working home in good order 2 starts back behind COLONEL JOY, he was strong late on Sat behind SECRETAGENT TYCOON and can swoop home here.

CHERRYS THE BEST (10) was a nice winner last start when doing some early work from gate 4 and in a race where she had to make a few runs and nothing really looked to go her way, she was still able to score. Gunned down in the closing strides the start prior at Redcliffe, she will challenge hard here.

TORI MAY (9) had the perfect trip last start in behind the leader and when the trigger was pulled in the stretch, she exploded away to a smart win. The gate makes it tricky, but she can attack late.

LEFT A TERROR (8) was sent to the breeze last start and faded late to be well beaten behind IM NORMA JEAN. Working hard in all 3 starts this campaign, he might just appreciate the softer trip.

SELECTIONS: THATS HOW WEROLL (12), CHERRYS THE BEST (10), TORI MAY (9), LEFT A TERROR (8)
SUGGESTED BET: THATS HOW WEROLL (12) to win

RACE FIVE

OUR DELIGHT (8) found the front before releasing last start and then with the perfect trip in the pocket trail arrived for the prize via the passing lane. 3 starts back she was attacking the line strongly in the closing stages when 3m from AMILLION PROMISES and with the perfect trip can arrive again.

AQUA CRUISER (1) shoots for a hat-trick of victories as he is 1st up from a freshen and steps it up in grade. Charging home from a long way back in a 2nd division qualifier here 3 starts back, his past 2 wins have been at Marburg, the latest in a strong last 800m when leading throughout. He will fight.

DAPPER (9) started from gate 9 at Redcliffe 2 starts back and settling in the pack came with a well-timed run to arrive for a smart win. Nothing really made ground at his last outing and he can be chiming in again here.

GOTTA MOMENT (2) sat in the pocket trail last start and was taking a closing shot along the passing lane when only beaten a head. That was a sharper effort and settling close can be in the mix here.

SELECTIONS: OUR DELIGHT (8), AQUA CRUISER (1), DAPPER (9), GOTTA MOMENT (2)
SUGGESTED BET: OUR DELIGHT (8) to win

RACE SIX

PSYCHEDELIC (3) returned a sharper effort last start at his 3rd run after his 2 runs back from the break came at Redcliffe. Settled back on the pegs from his 2nd line gate it looked like he was going to zoom on by in the stretch, but he fell 2.5m short. This is no harder and settling close can arrive.

MACHEASY (4) has been screaming out for a decent alley this campaign and although he comes up with it here, the 2138m trip then throws up a question. Snagged back from a wide gate last start at Redcliffe, his effort 2 starts back behind SIR JULIAN were solid under the circumstances. He gets his chance.

LEXUS ON THE BEACH (10) has no favours from the 2nd line gate but over the longer trip might just have the time to circle them and get into the contest. A fighting 2nd last start, he can challenge.

PATERNITY SUIT (2) led the up from gate 1 last start at Redcliffe over the 2040m but was swallowed in the closing stages, beaten 4.5m into 7th. He can get forward again and will be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: PSYCHEDELIC (3), MACHEASY (4), LEXUS ON THE BEACH (10), PATERNITY SUIT (2)
SUGGESTED BET: PSYCHEDELIC (3) to win

RACE SEVEN

SENORA RAPIDO (1) claimed a mares qualifier last start a Redcliffe from gate 10 when working home strongly in the closing stages to arrive for a smart victory. That followed her 1st up 3rd in Qld in a much stronger mares contest and with the peg-line options on offer here can go back-to-back.

MY MASTERCRAFTSMAN (10) had been knocking on the door with some tidy efforts and last start was able to burst through to score. Runner-up in successive starts at Redcliffe including a tough effort in the breeze, he capitalised from the 1x1 trail last start over the 2138m. He goes close again.

BEE GEES BANDIT (5) has been kept fresh since his last appearance. Starting form gate 7 on that occasion he was wide for a long way when 8m from SIR JULIAN in a sharp mile. He is in the mix.

STAR OF MONTANA (4) has been around the money since scoring early in the season with placings in 6 of his 8 since that victory. Settling handy enough from this gate, look for him swooping.

SELECTIONS: SENORA RAPIDO (1), MY MASTERCRAFTSMAN (10), BEE GEES BANDIT (5), STAR OF MONTANA (4)
SUGGESTED BET: SENORA RAPIDO (1) to win
