RACE TWO

FLYING WINGARD (6) backs up from Friday where he was a strong winner after working hard in the run and still pulling clear to score. Put a line through his run 2 starts back when not suited off the 2nd line at Redcliffe, the start prior he was attacking the line strongly from a long way back. With the early options, he can power home here.

RAGING INFERNO (3) had a good early shot from gate 7 last start in a Marburg to Albion Final and had to ease into a position when the front running role wasn’t on offer. Tough when doing the work in the heat of that series, he was a smart all the way winner 4 starts back. He can look to control this.

TEARAWAY DIAMOND (5) will have the wide gate to negotiate here at his 1st race appearance at the track. His last start over the AP 2138m had merit when wide out making a late charge and backing up from Fri has claims in this.
SELECTIONS: FLYING WINGARD (6), RAGING INFERNO (3), TEARAWAY DIAMOND (5)
SUGGESTED BET: FLYING WINGARD (6) to win

RACE THREE

While he is a much better conveyance when allowed to do his thing in front, BETTOR WATCH HIM (8) might just be able to watch an early burn and the right tempo in the run to power home late in this. He found his race last start at Redcliffe when dictating in front and can look for a repeat win.

LIGHTHORSE (3) led them up here last start and after setting a steady tempo wasn’t able to see it out when swamped in the stretch. He did do his share of early work to get across from gate 5 and with an easier lead on offer here, can get to the front and will be trying to fight them off.

CHEYENNE AUTUMN (4) was well-supported and sent to the post fav last start at Redcliffe from gate 4 but was never in the mix when eased back after unable to secure position. Only beaten a half-head here 3 starts back, she can throw down some heat here.

ITS YOU NOT ME (1) doesn’t have any numbers next to his name that suggest he can be in the mix here, yet he will get the right type of trip and in behind the speed will be probing for openings.

SELECTIONS: BETTOR WATCH HIM (8), LIGHTHORSE (3), CHEYENNE AUTUMN (4), ITS YOU NOT ME (1)
SUGGESTED BET: BETTOR WATCH HIM (8) to win

RACE FOUR

REDDY FIRE (2)
found the front from this same gate over the 2200m trip 3 starts back and once in front was able to stave off the challengers to claim the prize. Following that with a 3rd from back in the pack over this trip, he was completely outclassed last start and back to this grade from the gate will be much better suited.

MISTER DECORUM (4) scored a strong win here 3 starts back when rolling to the breeze from gate 5 he was able to out-last them all in claiming a strong win. Not too far away in 2 runs at Redcliffe since that win, he can ease across early here and will be laying down the challenge.

MARTHAS VINEYARD (9) was back in the pack at Redcliffe last start and looking for gaps along the inside that didn’t arrive. A smart winner here 2 starts back when arriving late, she will swoop again.

ELZBOY (7) was 1st up from a break here 2 starts back when working home strongly wide off the track to grab the silver. He found them a bit too tough at AP last start and can be better in this.

SELECTIONS: REDDY FIRE (2), MISTER DECORUM (4), MARTHAS VINEYARD (9), ELZBOY (7)
SUGGESTED BET: REDDY FIRE (2) to win

RACE FIVE

SPEECHCRAFT (4) will tightened nicely from his latest appearance when 2nd up in Qld. Making the most of gate 1 at Redcliffe, he kept an even tempo in taking them all the way. His 1st up run had merit from gate 5 when working wide off the track and despite the wider gate, can arrive once more.

FORTES IN FIDE (2) started fav from the 2nd line here 2 starts back when having his 1st run since re-joining the boutique barn of Marc Rees. Forced to do plenty of work when sent forward to the breeze, he faded late. Chasing gamely for silver behind NOTORIOUS last start, this is within reach.

LETHAL STAR (5) isn’t afforded any favours from the wide gate, but she has been racing well of late. A 2nd from the pocket trail 2 starts back, she struck trouble last start and has podium claims in this.

CALL ME YOURS (7) was in the pocket trail from inside the 2nd line in the Marburg to Albion Final and was carted out of play when the leader hoisted the white flag. Grabbed on the line by the in-form DOLLARBILL in the heat, she has claims here.

SELECTIONS: SPEECHCRAFT (4), FORTES IN FIDE (2), LETHAL STAR (5), CALL ME YOURS (7)
SUGGESTED BET: SPEECHCRAFT (4) to win

RACE SIX

RIVERLEIGH JEFF (2) aims up for a hat-trick of victories after successive Redcliffe wins. Taking them all the way over the 2040m 2 starts back, he was able to arrive for the prize when closing strongly last start over the sprint trip. His record here at Marburg is strong and he can complete the threepeat.

TAKITIMU EXPRESS (1) has been mixing his form this campaign but his run here 2 starts back was a sharper effort when making some late closing ground. Building off that the he watched a hot tempo unfold at Redcliffe last start and when asked to present let down strongly in the stretch to arrive at big odds. He can take the soft trip and look for gaps.

WEE JIMMY (6) has been top-three in 7 of his 11 at the track and his last start 4th at Redcliffe was a tidy effort when only 3m from the winner MUCH BETTOR. With the easy trip he will be looking for space.

LURAH (7) backs up from AP Sat night where she was taking on Band 5 company from inside the 2nd line. Arriving from a long way back in the pack at Redcliffe last start, she can be strong late again.

SELECTIONS: RIVERLEIGH JEFF (2), TAKITIMU EXPRESS (1), WEE JIMMY (6), LURAH (7)
SUGGESTED BET: RIVERLEIGH JEFF (2) to win
