RACE TWO

MAJOR LUCKY (3) will be 1st up from a freshen as he sights the triangle for the 1st time under race conditions. Grabbed on the line 2 starts back when beaten a half-head by DAPPER, he shifted stables and faded late under a tough run last time behind SPEECH IS SILVER. Look for atonement here.

DAPPER (7) eased back from gate 5 last start and was working home strongly from the rear in some smart closing sections to grab the bronze behind GODDESS JUJON. A tidy AP winner over 2138m 3 starts back, with the cosy trip on offer in this, he will be probing for an opening to issue a challenge.

BIG IN AMERICA (1) led them up last start over this trip from this same alley. Grabbed in the closing stages to finish 2m in arrears, she will again have the options from the gate and won’t be far away.

GOTTA MOMENT (6) has no favours from the wide gate but if able to find position cheaply he can be chiming in late. Mid-field last start when working home strongly, he is an exotic hope in this.

SELECTIONS: MAJOR LUCKY (3), DAPPER (7), BIG IN AMERICA (1), GOTTA MOMENT (6)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-3-6-7

RACE THREE

OFFTHETOPOFMYHEAD (10) put in a big run last start and had to settle for a split decision, dead-heating with CELTIC CRUZA over the 2040m. Three-wide the last lap, it was a solid effort and he should take benefit from the run as he was 2nd up from a 6-week break. He will be powering late.

PINUP BOY (3) doesn’t have the most appealing numbers next to his name in 4 runs back from a spell, yet he has also struggled to land a marble in those runs. His closing panels were good last start behind SEEUINNASHVILLE and with good early speed, if he can find the front, he will take catching.

ULTIMATE AD (1) was taken off the gate from the five-hole last start and was too far back in the pack to issue a challenge. With tough gates of late, the peg-line benefits can see him in the money.

RUATO BAY (9) took on a 2nd division qualifier last start and was sent to the breeze from gate 10. Fighting hard to finish mid-field, this is no harder and limiting the burn he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: OFFTHETOPOFMYHEAD (10), PINUP BOY (3), ULTIMATE AD (1), RUATO BAY (9)
SUGGESTED BET: OFFTHETOPOFMYHEAD (10) to win

RACE FOUR

THE RAGNBONE MAN (4)
started from gate 8 here last time out when having his 1st look at the triangle. Saved for the closing shot, he finished over the top to claim a smart win. That followed a nice 3rd behind IMFEELINGIT and with the return to the front line, he gets his chance to repeat.

MAYWYN A JUG ORTWO (3) will strip fitter from his return to the track last start when leading them up over the sprint trip. Starting a short-priced elect, his condition faded in the closing stages and he had to settle for the silver. Yet to miss the board in 4 outings here at Redcliffe, he can go close.

GOLD REACTOR (8) made a mess of things in the early stages last start and from gate 1 was soon locked away against the poles. Holding on to grab 3rd, he has placed in 4 of his past 5 and won’t be far away here.

KYRONTA (1) returns to start his 3YO season here and lands the perfect gate for his 1st up assignment. Last seen when charging home in the closing stages of the Triad Consolation, he has claims here.

SELECTIONS: THE RAGNBONE MAN (4), MAYWYN A JUG ORTWO (3), GOLD REACTOR (8), KYRONTA (1)
SUGGESTED BET: THE RAGNBONE MAN (4) to win

RACE FIVE

RORY MACH (6) shoots for the hat-trick after wins at his past 2, both tidy efforts when swooping home to score. Taking out the Marburg Marathon 2 starts back, he then returned to the claiming ranks to power home to the prize over the 2040m here last start. The gate hurts, but he can arrive.

CRACKA STRIDE (4) should take great benefit from his latest start when 2nd up from a freshen and 3rd up from a spell. Pressing on to find the front over the AP mile, once in control he kept the speed on to score a sharp win. Finding the line nicely here 2 starts back from the 2nd line, he is the danger.

WATTLEBANK FLYER (5) started from gate 6 last start and was wide off the track when closing out in nice style to grab the silver behind RORY MACH. A winner 3 starts back, look for him swooping late.

OUR MELS DREAM (9) just keeps on keeping on and the veteran added another minor to his tally when trailing into the contest to hold on for 3rd. Placed in 5 of 7 starts here, he won’t be far away.

SELECTIONS: RORY MACH (6), CRACKA STRIDE (4), WATTLEBANK FLYER (5), OUR MELS DREAM (9)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

SEA HAWKE (8) showed a penchant for the peninsula last week when able to score his 1st win for the season, having proved costly in his previous couple at AP. Settling well back in the pack from gate 6, he packed too many guns in the closing stages to score. With a similar trip, he can arrive again.

HIGH ON MONTANA (4) pressed forward from this gate over the sprint trip last start and finding the breeze was working hard when fading in the closing stages to be 8m from the winner. 6m away when grabbing the bronze, the start prior, he can get forward here to issue the challenge.

JOANNIES GIRL (5) was snagged back from this same gate over the sprint trip last start and was too far back to work into it. Finding the line nicely at AP 3 starts back, she can be thereabouts in this.

BOULDER CITY (7) will tighten from his last start when returning from a break. Pressing ahead from gate 4 to find the front, his condition gave out when beaten a neck. He will be probing for space.

SELECTIONS: SEA HAWKE (8), HIGH ON MONTANA (4), JOANNIES GIRL (5), BOULDER CITY (7)
SUGGESTED BET: SEA HAWKE (8) to win

RACE SEVEN

FOREVER ROCKING (2) carries some family expectation as the daughter of the former champion race-mare Forever Gold. By Rock N Roll Heaven, the 3YO filly trialled in nice order against seasoned performers in readiness for her debut. With the good gate, she strikes a winnable contest here.

MAKINMEFEELGOOD (3) added another minor to his tally last start as he searches for an elusive maiden breaking victory. Lighting the lamps over the 1780m trip, he walked them early but had no answer to BOMBADIER JUJON. Holding on for the silver, he can get forward here and be gripping on.

MAYWYNS HONEY (10) will take good benefit from her latest outing when returning from a break. Settling in the running line from gate 4, she chased gamely for the bronze and is in the mix again.

PRETTYINTHEOUTBACK (9) will strip fitter from her latest start when 1st up from a spell at her 1st run in Qld. Strong to the line wide out behind JOICE MARY for 2nd, she will be working home late.

SELECTIONS: FOREVER ROCKING (2), MAKINMEFEELGOOD (3), MAYWYNS HONEY (10), PRETTYINTHEOUTBACK (9)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

COMMODORE JUJON (6) returns to start his 4YO term following a three start 3YO term where he hit the board in all three. Leading all the way when 1st up where he sprinted home nicely the closing panel, he then started favourite in the Breeders Classic Consolation when 1.5m in arrears. He can return in style.

WHATA REACTOR (3) didn’t have any luck last start when making a move 3-wide to get into the contest she was left stranded and forced to retreat back to the rear. Working home strongly from the rear to claim victory the start prior, the improved gate helps and she can challenge.

AROONA (2) has been super consistent with a trifecta placing in 9 of his past 12 appearances. Finding gaps to grab the bronze from gate 6 last start, he lands his best gate in some time.

A ROCKNROLL LEGACY (1) has been rolling the sleeves in his races of late and racing tough. Only 1m from the winner 2 starts back, he receives the peg-line benefits here and is right in the fight.

SELECTIONS: COMMODORE JUJON (6), WHATA REACTOR (3), AROONA (2), A ROCKNROLL LEGACY (1)
SUGGESTED BET: COMMODORE JUJON (6) to win

RACE NINE

MY CARMEN (6) makes her Qld debut for the Donny Smith barn and arrives with a last start 2nd placing at Yarra Valley. Leading them up from gate 6 over the 2150m trip, she kept an even tempo and held on for the silver. A 2160m winner at Echuca 2 starts back, she can start with a bang here.

BILLBOARD BONNIE (10) started fav last time out and made a costly error when taking the silver behind JILLIBY JACKPOT. Banished to the trials for that performance, she earns the return and despite the 2nd line, if putting it together, she can certainly ask some questions against these.

MISS MIA (5) has been racing well from some tricky gates of late where she has been buried on the pegs and hoping for luck. 8m from the winner last start, she can be thereabouts again in this.

SIXPENNY RED (8) makes a return for her 4YO term and was last seen when finishing a 3m 3rd to TIMELESS APPEAL in a strong closing 800m. A two-time winner here, she will benefit from the run.

SELECTIONS: MY CARMEN (6), BILLBOARD BONNIE (10), MISS MIA (5), SIXPENNY RED (8)
SUGGESTED BET: MY CARMEN (6) to win
