RACE TWO

With his runs spaced this season since resuming, ARK PATROL (7) has the tricky gate but should appreciate this class of contest after meeting some tougher opponents his past couple. Not suited over the 2138m last start, the start prior he worked hard in the run when finishing mid-field. With 6 wins from 12 starts here at Redcliffe, he can take this.

RANDOM TASK (6) has the tough gate to overcome but if limiting the burn, looms as the testing material against these. Last start from the 2nd line he was hitting the line nicely to get within a head of the winner SABRAGE in a tougher race. Forget his run 2 back, this is within his reach.

TOO GOOD FOR YOU (2) had the run to suit here on Sunday when settling in the 1x1 trail and finishing over the top to score his maiden Redcliffe victory after 21 attempts. He can chime in.

IFOUNDTHEBEACH (1) found the line nicely from back in the pack at AP over the sprint trip 2 starts back and followed that with a sound effort here on Sunday. He has the options to feature in this.

SELECTIONS: ARK PATROL (7), RANDOM TASK (6), TOO GOOD FOR YOU (2), IFOUNDTHEBEACH (1)
SUGGESTED BET: ARK PATROL (7) to win

RACE THREE

JOVIAL JULIE (5) has been freshened since her last appearance and despite a sticky gate should relish the return to the triangle where her record is 5: 3-1-1. Strong when returning and holding on for the silver in a Gold Pot heat behind SIR TIGER, she faded after an early burn in the Final. This is winnable.

TORQUE IS MY GIRL (6) struck trouble last start from inside the 2nd line yet regathered and was good to the line under the circumstances to grab 2nd when 9m in arrears of the winner COMMODORE JUJON. A 1st up winner 3 starts back, the gate hurts but she remains a winning chance in this.
MAGHERA MAGGIE (10) started from gate 6 over the 1780m last start and didn’t have the smoothest run in transit. The start prior at Marburg had merit and she can be thereabouts here.

KOTARE KASAI (2) had an early look last start before grabbing up to find position when unable to get across them. She might need to stoke up to cross again here, but from the front is an exotic hope.

SELECTIONS: JOVIAL JULIE (5), TORQUE IS MY GIRL (6), MAGHERA MAGGIE (10), KOTARE KASAI (2)
SUGGESTED BET: JOVIAL JULIE (5) to win

RACE FOUR

BILLBOARD BONNIE (10)
continued her good stretch of form last start when finishing powerfully to put them away from this gate over this trip. That made it successive wins in similar style and while she steps it up in class somewhat here, its hard to deny her winning form and a threepeat is in sight.

MISTER DECORUM (2) was too strong in the breeze at Marburg when 2nd up in Qld 2 starts back which had followed successive placings at his 1st 2 outings. Strong in the breeze last start, he gets the chance to press forward here and from the good alley will throw down a big challenge.

SPECIAL RESERVE (6) isn’t afforded any favours from this gate as she searches for her 1st win of the season after placing in 5 of her 8 attempts. Strong last start when 2nd, she can be in the mix again.

RITCHIE BEE (8) settled back in the pack from gate 4 and worked home well to be 6m from the winner last start over the 2040m. The sprint trip helps and with the right trail can feature.

SELECTIONS: BILLBOARD BONNIE (10), MISTER DECORUM (2), SPECIAL RESERVE (6), RITCHIE BEE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 2-6-8-10

RACE FIVE

BETTOR WATCH HIM (3) started from inside the 2nd line last start and was soon buried in the run 3 back against the poles. Finding space to come wide at the 400m, he loomed up but fell just short with ONYA DOUG arriving for a 2m victory. Finding his chance to lead, from the front he can dictate.

SCHEU CREEK (7) returned from a spell when swooping to a tidy win at Marburg without a preparatory trial. Settling well back in the pack 2nd up and again over the Marburg 1850m, he looked set to score before a gait break saw him settle for silver. Will need some luck but is in the mix.

AROONA (4) worked away from the inside 2nd line gate to find the running line last start, but then couldn’t work into the race. His effort 2 back was sound and in this has podium claims.

DOWNTOWN LUCCA (5) has been in the money at 3 of his past 4 starts, the latest when working hard in the breeze here and holding on for the bronze. The gate hurts, but he can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: BETTOR WATCH HIM (3), SCHEU CREEK (7), AROONA (4), DOWNTOWN LUCCA (5)
SUGGESTED BET: BETTOR WATCH HIM (3) to win

RACE SIX

With a combined 154 race starts between the 9 runners looking for that elusive moment of glory in this maiden, CANNAN (4) looks set to get his chance. Landing the 1x1 last start, he chased hard when mid-field to THATS FUNNY. Placed in 3 of his previous 4, this shapes as his time to shine.

MAKINMEFEELGOOD (9) lands the 2nd line for the 1st time this campaign and it might be the change up that helps get him across the line. Placed in all 4 starts this prep, he has been in front of 3 of those and in the breeze the other, fading in the closing stages each time. He can be in the fight.

LANOCH BOY (2) has faced the starter 6 times in his career and all this season. Last start he ended up a long way back in the pack and if settling handy here, he can return a sharper effort.

MISTER ARTIKULATE (10) makes his return to start his 3YO term after 4 starts at 2YO returned a lone placing. He opened the pipes with a tidy trial to prepare for the return and stays under notice in this.

SELECTIONS: CANNAN (4), MAKINMEFEELGOOD (9), LANOCH BOY (2), MISTER ARTIKULATE (10)
SUGGESTED BET: CANNAN (4) to win

RACE SEVEN

WHATA STRIDE (3) worked forward to find the breeze at Marburg 2 starts back and in a moderately run race was fighting hard, only grabbed in the closing stages by the swooping MARTHAS VINEYARD. Not suited from gate 6 last start when wide and trying to find position, she looks to get a chance.

DATSGOOD (4) was sharper last start when taking the pocket trail over the sprint trip at Albion Park. Starting fav, she was best of the rest behind the clear-out winner ASHLEES NITRO who was never in danger out in front. She might need to do some work here, but building off the last run looms large.

ROCK THE HOUSE (7) will need a slice of luck from the gate here, yet if he can see open space with track still to work with, he can be closing hard. Not far away his past 2 starts, he will be probing.

TORQUE TO THE MAX (1) has started from this gate at her past 2 and been in the pocket trail on both occasions. 8m in arrears of ONYA DOUG last start, she will get the easy trip and can place.

SELECTIONS: WHATA STRIDE (3), DATSGOOD (4), ROCK THE HOUSE (7), TORQUE TO THE MAX (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

MYRTLE BEACH (3) has stayed consistent since breaking her maiden status here 4 starts back. Powering home to score on that occasion from the front-line tape, she has followed that with 2 nice efforts from the 10m. Back to the front last time chased hard for the bronze and can strike here.

MONORAIL (10) has been runner-up at his past 2 starts, the latest in stronger company when chasing behind DAVEYS GIFT. Hitting the line nicely 2 starts back over this trip from the same 30m tape to be 3m from the winner PRINCESS KATERINA, he can be challenging hard in this.

DOWN UNDER RORS (7) will take great benefit from his return to the track here over this trip last week when stepping straight to the front and dictating to victory. Off 20m this time, he is the mix.

DAY TOURER (9) is a brilliant beginner and last start over the 2613m from the front tape stepped to the front and kept them chasing all the way. He moves back to the 30m impost here, but still has claims.

SELECTIONS: MYRTLE BEACH (3), MONORAIL (10), DOWN UNDER RORS (7), NORAHS FLING (5)
SUGGESTED BET: MYRTLE BEACH (3) to win
