RACE TWO

MUCHO MACHO MAN (3) went to the pegs last start looking for short-cuts when taking on a strong qualifier over the 2138m behind the flying SECRETAGENT TYCOON. They didn’t make ground from the rear the start prior and returning to the triangle from the front line, looks to get every chance.

BEEF CITY BLAZE (4) is having a good season with a top-three in 7 of his 10 appearances. Buried on the pegs last start, he chased gamely for the bronze behind the power running ZAHVEN BANNER which followed successive 2nd placed runs. If the tempo is hot, look for him swooping late.

ITS ALLABOUT ALICE (1) has taken on mares qualifiers at her past 2 starts and has been chasing home from back in the pack on each occasion. Settling closer but still with a soft trip, she can probe.

RUATO BAY (7) faced the breeze last start in claiming company and stuck to the task in holding on for the bronze. With positional options here, he can be making a challenge for the podium.

SELECTIONS: MUCHO MACHO MAN (3), BEEF CITY BLAZE (4), ITS ALLABOUT ALICE (1), RUATO BAY (7)
SUGGESTED BET: MUCHO MACHO MAN (3) to win

RACE THREE

CHEYENNE AUTUMN (7)
pressed forward from gate 4 over the Marburg sprint trip on Monday and taking control was able to keep an even tempo and keep them chasing to score a 3m victory. Not suited the start prior when snagged back, she can get away from the pegs to make career start 100 a memorable occasion.

WHATA STRIDE (4) couldn’t muster the speed to get across them last start at Marburg and was forced to race tough when holding on for the bronze. Taking them all the way here 2 starts back from gate 3 and clinging to a narrow victory, she can get forward again here to challenge.

WHATA REACTOR (6) eased back from gate 6 over the AP sprint trip last start and was working home in the closing stages. The wide gate stings again here, but this will be easier than her past couple.

VIC HUNTER (1) can be forgiven for his latest start when working in the breeze, as that isn’t his game. 2 starts back things didn’t go smoothly and back to the mile here, can be sharper.

SELECTIONS: CHEYENNE AUTUMN (7), WHATA STRIDE (4), WHATA REACTOR (6), VIC HUNTER (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

RAFFERTY DELIGHTS (8)
has been in nice touch with placings his past 4 in succession, beaten no further than a length in each. Locked away 3 back on the poles last start in the Aspirated at AP, he was doing his best work late when 1m off the winner.  With even luck in transit, he can arrive.

SLIPPERY JADE (1) took on the sprint trip last and cutting the breeze looked under heavy pressure but rallied strongly to get within a head of the prize. That followed a similar trip when working hard over the AP 2138m and holding on for the bronze. A softer trip looks likely and she can go close.

IMA BIRUBI BOY (5) settled in the 1x1 trail last start after easing across from gate 6 and chased gamely to be 3m from the winner MY CARMEN. The 2040m is not his ideal, but he can still place.

MERRYWOOD PEARL (2) was a winner over this trip 4 starts back when working to the front and hanging on to score in mares company. Things haven’t gone to plan since, but this looks her chance to make the most of the gate.

SELECTIONS: RAFFERTY DELIGHTS (8), SLIPPERY JADE (1), IMA BIRUBI BOY (5), MERRYWOOD PEARL (2)
SUGGESTED BET: RAFFERTY DELIGHTS (8) to win

RACE FIVE

TRUNKEY DIGGER (2) started fav last time out from inside the 2nd line and after securing the pocket trail, it didn’t go the market expectation when she had to settle for the bronze behind SPONDOOLEY. Tough in the breeze 3 starts back, she has been working towards a win and looks to get her chance.

RANFURLY RULZ (5) should appreciate this class of contest after meeting some tougher line-ups of late and despite the wide gate can look to cash-in. He found the line in good order last start behind TIN ROOF RAIDER in a qualifier and 3 back wasn’t far away here over this trip. He looms large in this.

BIG IN AMERICA (4) has good early speed when called on and from this alley might just look to fire the early shots. It didn’t work out last start from gate 6 at AP but back to this can be thereabouts.

READILY (9) looked to get every chance here 2 starts back in the pocket trail, but just couldn’t go with them when the speed went on. This will be easier than last time out and he has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: TRUNKEY DIGGER (2), RANFURLY RULZ (5), BIG IN AMERICA (4), READILY (9)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 2-4-5-9

RACE SIX

TORQUE IS MY GIRL (10) has been in consistent from since resuming this campaign with a win and 2 minors from 4 attempts. Easing back from gate 6 last start she found the line nicely to grab the bronze when 6m from the winner. The gate hurts but she can be strong late to arrive for the prize.

JUSTA DALE (5) has a tricky gate to negotiate here but he has been performing well from similarly tough starting barriers in stronger line-ups of late. A long way back last start over the AP mile when chasing home to be mid-field behind CHERRYS THE BEST, he looks to get into this race nicely.

RED LUCK (6) was in the breeze last start in an Aspirational at AP and was fighting hard to hold on for the bronze as the winner cleared out at the top of the stretch. The gate hurts but he is in the mix.

GHOST GUM (2) wasn’t too far away last start when looking for space and finishing 6m from the winner SPECIAL RESERVE. He can fire the 1st shot here and can be around the mark once again.

SELECTIONS: TORQUE IS MY GIRL (10), JUSTA DALE (5), RED LUCK (6), GHOST GUM (2)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

WILLSINTOWN (1) went straight to the front from gate 5 over the 2040m here 2 starts back and lighting the lamps was only collared in the closing stages. Put a line through his last start when working in the breeze as that isn’t his game. Back to the sprint trip, he looks hard to run down.

CALL ME TRISH (10) continued to press forward and worked to the front last start over the 2040m, eventually taking control. She had them covered and was cruising to victory until there was a front stretch heist and the race was robbed from her. Despite gate 10, she can challenge here.

STUDLEIGH WILL (5) started from the 2nd line here 2 runs back and worked home soundly to grab the bronze behind COMMODORE JUJON. Too far back last start, look for a sharper effort here.

RITCHIE BEE (6) was wide off the track and working hard in the latter stages last time out, yet he stuck to the task to be 6m from the winner SPECIAL RESERVE. The gate hurts but he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: WILLSINTOWN (1), CALL ME TRISH (10), STUDLEIGH WILL (5), RITCHIE BEE (6)
SUGGESTED BET: WILLSINTOWN (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

KISS CAM (1) started from gate 6 last start and was tuck for position when trying to press forward and as a result was forced to snag back to the rear. Closing out strongly when he made a late challenge, he was only 4m from the winner. Using his early speed, he can look to take control of this.

OUR PEPPERJACK (3) was a long way back after easing from gate 4 over the sprint trip last time out. Making his run there was plenty to like about how he found the line in getting within a half-neck of the winner. From the improved gate he can get into the contest and can challenge for the prize.

TAXI METER (9) will be further tightened from his last start when 2nd up from a spell and cutting the breeze, he packed too many guns to collect the full fare over the 2040m. He is right in the fight here.

NON PASSARE (7) wasn’t suited last start when doing all the work in the breeze over the AP mile and the effort saw him fade. Back to the triangle with a cheap ride, he can be probing for the openings.

SELECTIONS: KISS CAM (1), OUR PEPPERJACK (3), TAXI METER (9), NON PASSARE (7)
SUGGESTED BET: KISS CAM (1) to win
