RACE TWO

JEWEL OF PEAK (3) speared out from gate 4 over the Marburg 1850m last start and taking control kept the pedal to the metal, breaking the track record in a sizzling 1.56.8 around the tight track. That form has been franked with the 2nd placed DOLLARBILL scoring since and she can dictate here.

KOOKABURRAPRINCESS (1) has been lightly raced and her past 3 starts have been well-spaced since August. She found the line in good order behind VICTREE MIKAYLA last start which followed a 3rd when only 4m in arrears. With the good alley, she is right in the mix here.

AROONA (5) has been around the money in recent starts with placings in 4 of his past 5. He chased hard for the bronze behind OUR DOUG last start and despite the tough gate here can chime in.

CANNAN (2) has been runner-up in 2 of his past 3, the latest when working home wide off the track from gate 6 in good order to get within 2.5m of the winner ARTFUL MASTER. He won’t be far away.

SELECTIONS: JEWEL OF PEAK (3), KOOKABURRAPRINCESS (1), AROONA (5), CANNAN (2)
SUGGESTED BET: JEWEL OF PEAK (3) to win

RACE THREE

ROCK THE HOUSE (1) is still searching for maiden breaking victory and lands his best gat for some time as he looks for the breakthrough. Last start over the sprint trip from gate 10 he was positioned well back in the pack and closed out nicely for 3rd. With the peg-line benefits, he can strike.

PEGGY STARDUST (2) was lighting the lamps here last week from gate 1 and setting an even tempo was nabbed right on the wire by MIKE ORR. Finishing with the bronze over the AP mile 3 starts back when grabbed late, she can take it up and will be gripping on in the stretch.

CHEYENNE AUTUMN (7) was tough from the breeze at Marburg 3 starts back and fought gamely to hold on for the silver. Only beaten a neck at her next outing, she will get a cosy trip here.

A ROCKNROLL LEGACY (4) has placed in 3 of his past 4 starts, the latest when fighting hard to hold on for the silver when 3m from FUI FUI. He can press forward here and will be right in the fight.

SELECTIONS: ROCK THE HOUSE (1), PEGGY STARDUST (2), CHEYENN AUTUMN (7), A ROCKNROLL LEGACY (4)
SUGGESTED BET: ROCK THE HOUSE (1) to win

RACE FOUR

ARBIT MAJOR (2)
had an early look from gate 4 over the AP mile 2 starts back before being able to sneak into the 1x1 trail and found the line soundly when 9m from the winner JUST ONE GOOD ONE. Forgive his latest start over the 2040m, he can atone here and bring up start 100 in fine style.

MONTANA NIGHTS (10) eased back from gate 5 over the 2040m here last start and was too far back when trying to work into the contest behind DOLLARBILL. That followed a maiden breaking win when finding the front from gate 5 and taking them all the way. The gate hurts but he can feature.

ARTFUL MASTER (9) worked home strongly from outside the 2nd line at Marburg 2 starts back to grab the bronze. Franking that run with a tidy effort to score last start, he can chase late again here.

PURPLE SHADES (1) was luckless from gate 1 at Marburg 3 starts back when locked away with the absence of the passing lane. Not suited last start from the 2nd line, he can secure the cosy trip here.

SELECTIONS: ARBIT MAJOR (2), MONTANA NIGHTS (10), ARTFUL MASTER (9), PURPLE SHADES (1)
SUGGESTED BET: ARBIT MAJOR (2) to win

RACE FIVE

SIR MACADOR (5) is still after his 1st victory since arriving in Qld and strikes the right race to capitalise here. Meeting a tougher 2nd division qualifier on Sat night when fighting hard in the breeze and within 3m of the winner CC JONES, he can do work if needed and looks to get every chance.

ALOT OF COST (2) will strip fitter following his return from a spell here last week over the 2040m trip. Angled to the pegs from the 2nd line for an easier trip, he couldn’t get a decent crack when finishing mid-field. With good speed out of the machine, he can fire the 1st shot and fight hard here.

SOCIAL MEDIA (10) franked her 1st up run when only beaten a half-head with a sharp win over the 1780m when finishing over the top to claim the prize. The gate hurts, but she can chime in.

MIKE ORR (1) made his 1st Redcliffe appearance here last week when finishing over the top to score a smart win. This is harder as he comes up against seasoned performers, but the easy trip helps his plight.

SELECTIONS: SIR MACADOR (5), ALOT OF COST (2), SOCIAL MEDIA (10), MIKE ORR (1)
SUGGESTED BET: SIR MACADOR (5) to win

RACE SIX

WILD ABOUT TOWN (2) had been runner-up in consecutive starts over the AP mile and was rewarded when scoring a dominant win here last start. Pressing to the front from this same gate, he was never in danger after being well-rated in front. This is tougher but he is in great touch.

KAANAPALI (1) led them up early before releasing the lamp lighting duties here last week and then was hampered when the leader hoisted the white flag. Only 7m from the winner OUR BUSCEMI in a 2nd division qualifier 2 starts back, he will have the options once again to capitalise.

TRENT FROM PUNCHY (7) was buried 4 back against the poles last start and when he finally saw some space was hitting the line in good order. With a cosy trip on offer, look for him probing a gap.

RITCHIE BEE (3) scored a tidy win at Marburg 2 starts back when finding space to get out in the stretch and run home to score. Something near that can see him chime into the exotics in this.

SELECTIONS: WILD ABOUT TOWN (2), KAANAPALI (1), TRENT FROM PUNCHY (7), RITCHIE BEE (3)
SUGGESTED BET: TRENT FROM PUNCHY (7) to place

RACE SEVEN

ARTFUL MAID (9) was sent to the breeze from the 2nd line last start over the sprint trip and with an even tempo being set in front, she was able to clean them up for a 2m victory. Fitter again after finishing runner-up in her previous 2 starts after 11 months off the scene, she can add to her tally.

NICSTAR (3) settled back in the pack last start from gate 9 and making a move wide off the track hit the line in good order to be 2m from the winner ARTFUL MAID. Hitting the line in good order the start prior over the AP 2138m trip, he can look to use his early speed in this to fire the 1st shot.

TRUNKEY DIGGER (1) will take good benefit from her 1st look at the track here last week when 2nd up since arriving in Qld. Catching the eye from a long way back, she will be coiled and ready to strike.

MONTANA LAD (4) started from gate 7 over the AP 2138m trip last time and was closing out in good order to be within 2m of the winner RAGING INFERNO. This is his 1st trip to the triangle which poses a query.

SELECTIONS: ARTFUL MAID (9), NICSTAR (3), TRUNKEY DIGGER (1), MONTANA LAD (4)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

THE GUN ROCKSTAR (1) returns from a freshen and lands the peg-line benefits here to make his presence felt. Last seen in the claiming ranks when using the passing lane for the bronze behind TOPNOTCH MACH. Not far from RORY MACH 3 starts back, he can take the snipers shot here.

VINTAGE DREAM (5) ended up back in the pack last start from gate 3 and with the tempo controlled in front was always facing a task to make closing ground. Hitting the line nicely 2 starts back to grab the silver behind GOD SAKE over the AP 2138m, back to the triangle suits and she is right in the fight.

LURAH (2) was locked away against the poles last start and was hitting the line in good order in the latter stages to be 6m from the winner. With good early speed, she will get her chance to dictate.

JUST ROKIN (7) will be needing a rub of the green in the run but with the cosy trip can be ready to offer. Her record shows a top 3 in 75% (24 starts) here at Redcliffe and she can add to that in this.

SELECTIONS: THE GUN ROCKSTAR (1), VINTAGE DREAM (5), LURAH (2), JUST ROKIN (7)
SUGGESTED BET: THE GUN ROCKSTAR (1) to win

RACE NINE

RUTHLESS ARMBRO (10) eased back in the early stages last start over the sprint trip and then making a move wide out attacked the line strongly to grab the bronze behind BEE GEES BANDIT. The 2nd line makes it tough, but he might just get forward over the long trip and this looks within reach.

MISS KENNY (5) will strip fitter after returning from a break to line up for a new barn last start. Setting the tempo out in front, she was only collared in the closing stages to be within two lengths of the winner. With a gate advantage over what look the main dangers, she can challenge.

UNASSUMING CHAMP (8) appreciated the return to the triangle last week and after being caught wide, eased back before launching late to grab 2nd. With a great record here, he can feature.

CONDAFEW (6) has the tough gate to negotiate, but avoiding any work in the run can look to be finishing hard in the closing stages. Luckless last start in a 2nd division qualifier, he can podium here.

SELECTIONS: RUTHLESS ARMBRO (10), MISS KENNY (5), UNASSUMING CHAMP (8), CONDAFEW (6)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 5-6-8-10
