RACE TWO

PSYCHEDELIC (9) will be further tightened from his latest start when 2nd up from a freshen. Snagged back from gate 6 to find position, he found the line nicely to grab 2nd behind the in-form MANDY KRIDEN. With the right early trail and early tempo he looks to get his chance to swoop late to score.

THE IDES OF MARCH (5) was in search of 4 successive victories last start when he was devoid of luck and never spotted an opening in the run to the wire. His previous win at Redcliffe was a stylish effort when doing plenty of work in the run and proving too strong. He will lay down a challenge here.

SOHO SHANGHAI (2) took on a conditioned race here 2 starts back from the 2nd line and was able to finish best to score. From the gate he can look to fire the first shot and will be gripping on.

OFFICIANADO (6) took the pocket trail here 2 starts back in a 2nd division qualifier and finished best to score by 2m. Grabbed late when trying to take them all the way last start, he is an exotic hope.

SELECTIONS: PSYCHEDELIC (9), THE IDES OF MARCH (5), SOHO SHANGHAI (2), OFFICIANADO (6)
SUGGESTED BET: PSYCHEDELIC (9) to win

RACE THREE

BET IM SPECIAL (3) has started from inside the 2nd line at his past 4 starts in succession and will appreciate moving to the front line where he can make his own luck rather than relying on it. He struck trouble here on Mon which followed a tidy effort when 9m from POMPIDOU. Gets his chance.

ANNIKA MAGIC (1) didn’t have the cleanest passage last time out when finishing 10m from the winner TOP TRIO. Her run 2 starts back had merit after being shunted wider on the track at a pivotal moment and she battled on for 3rd when 5m from MAJOR OCCASION. The gate gives her every hope.

CHAPTER ONE (6) returns from a freshen after a sub-par effort last time out. His run 2 back when not far from the smart MISS GRACELAND was a tidy effort and despite the gate has claims in this.

DRIVE THE DREAM (8) will need her share of luck as she looks set to be buried in the run. Well held at her 4 starts this prep, with the benefit of the inside gate in this field she has rough place claims.

SELECTIONS: BET IM SPECIAL (3), ANNIKA MAGIC (1), CHAPTER ONE (6), DRIVE THE DREAM (8)
SUGGESTED BET: BET IM SPECIAL (3) to win

RACE FOUR

SIR JULIAN (12)
was set alight from gate 7 here last start and created the space to drop into the pocket trail. The early burn took its toll and he was unable to see it out. His past 3 have all been from wide gates and while he lands another tricky gate, if able to get a cart into the contest he can arrive.

RIVERLEIGH JEFF (1) was buried away on the pegs from inside the 2nd line here 2 starts back and with the cosy trip snared the bronze and was 3m from the winner OFFICIANADO. He struck trouble here on Mon and with another easy ride in transit can be ready to issue a closing raid.

CIRCLE LINE (6) found his race at Redcliffe 2 starts back and sent to the front from gate 2 was able to take control to score over the sprint trip. Not suited when taken back from gate 7 last start he can be better here.

HEZ RAZOR SHARP (7) worked away from the pegs here on Tues and from the running line worked home to grab the bronze. This is a similar type of opponent and he has podium claims despite the gate.

SELECTIONS: SIR JULIAN (12), RIVERLEIGH JEFF (1), CIRCLE LINE (6), HEZ RAZOR SHARP (7)
SUGGESTED BET: SIR JULIAN (12) each-way

RACE FIVE

THE NEXT STAR (10) is in superb touch and last time out landed the win to complete the first hat-trick of her career. Taking control from gate 2 she took them all the way over the Redcliffe 1780m and ran home a nice closing 800m. The gate gives her no favours but she has the form edge here.

MOTU REAL STYLE (4) speared out from gate 3 here on Mon in a mares race and burnt plenty in a sizzling 26.7 opener. Suffering a wheel issue didn’t help her chances and she faded out. Finding the pegs cheaper here and if able to grab up there looks limited pressure which gives her every hope.

ARTFUL MAID (9) can look to follow through in the early stages to find position and will be looking to swoop home late. Not far away at each of her past 2 including 5.5m from FRANCO TOTEM, she has claims.

ANNAS BEST (2) has good early speed and can look to be 1st to the pegs here which then avails the options. Runner-up in 2 of her past 3 starts, she has place claims with the benefit of the gate.

SELECTIONS: THE NEXT STAR (10), MOTU REAL STYLE (4), ARTFUL MAID (9), ANNAS BEST (2)
SUGGESTED BET: Flexi trifecta 2-4-9-10

RACE SIX

MAJESTIC MAJOR (7)
has the wide gate to overcome here yet he faces somewhat of a class drop and will be fitter following 2 runs back from a spell. He found his race 5 starts back to score and since that has been taking on open company beaten behind ALLELUIA his past 2 since resuming. He can look to bully them here.

SPIKE BROMAC (2) started fav from gate 1 over the 2138m 2 starts back and wasn’t interested in the lead when finishing 5m from the smart ROCK WITH SAM. Here on Mon over the mile he flew the gate to light the lamps and destroy them with a power running career best win rate. A repeat of that makes him hard to stop.

MAKO BANNER (5) has been freshened since his last outing when looking to take them all the way from gate 1 and run down in the closing stages. He finished best to score 3 back and is in the mix here.

TOP TRIO (8) used the passing lane to score here 3 starts back and then last start wasn’t suited from gate 7. With some solid up front tempo and a cosy trip he can be probing for openings to sprint late.

SELECTIONS: MAJESTIC MAJOR (7), SPIKE BROMAC (2), MAKO BANNER (5), TOP TRIO (8)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJESTIC MAJOR (7) to win

RACE SEVEN

MANDY KRIDEN (3) is in great form and last start completed the hat-trick when finishing hard down the centre of the track. Her win 2 starts back in a similar mares race was a nice effort and from this alley can look for position and the big grey will be swooping home hard once again.

ZARAS DELIGHT (8) will need a slice of luck from the gate, but if able to see the passing lane with momentum will be ready to take her shot. Not suited on Mon when trying to work into the race wide out when SPIKE BROMAC was sizzling up front, she can be much better here.

JANUARY (2) has been in the trifecta at 12 of her past 16 starts and last start over the 2138m was able to finish too strongly for a nice win. Settling handy from this gate she will be ready to strike.

LUVUMUM (4) pressed on to find the front here 2 starts back and once in control packed too many guns. Back to mares company suits and with no real front line early speed or pressure she can look to make her own luck.

SELECTIONS: MANDY KRIDEN (3), ZARAS DELIGHT (8), JANUARY (2), LUVUMUM (4)
SUGGESTED BET: MANDY KRIDEN (3) to win

RACE EIGHT

ONE OFF (12)
will look to keep his Aus record in-tact and complete a hat-trick of victories. Starting in red figures at Redcliffe at his 1st Aus appearance he sat back from gate 10 before coming with a late race surge to put them away by 20m. His closing 800m in the heat of this was slick and he looks to have their measure.

SOLDIER OF FORTUNE (3) went to the front from gate 2 in his heat and once in control was never in danger to score a comfortable 5m victory. His run in a 2nd division qualifier 2 starts back was a nice effort when 7m from OFFICIANADO and he can fire the 1st shot here and look to issue a challenge.

MALONE (5) was searching for a hat-trick of victories when making an error in his heat that saw him lose his chance. A nice winner here 3 starts back, returning to the bigger track will help and he has claims.

MICKEE CULLEN (2) worked hard in the heat when facing the breeze outside SOLDIER OF FORTUNE and couldn’t hold on. He lands a closer alley here and settling close to the speed has exotic hopes.

SELECTIONS: ONE OFF (12), SOLDIER OF FORTUNE (3), MALONE (5), MICKEE CULLEN (2)
SUGGESTED BET: ONE OFF (12) to win

RACE NINE

OHOKA PUNTER (4)
has probably been disappointing on face value since returning to Qld, however he has never been too far from the winner and hasn’t really had conditions work in his favour. Forced to face the breeze on Mon he wasn’t suited from gate 6 the start prior. With his 2 main dangers drawn outside him, this is his Waterloo.

GLENFERRIE HOOD (6) completed a hat-trick of victories here 2 starts back when taking them all the way over the mile with 3 of his 4 panels run in sub 28.Gunned down by ALLELUIA last start, he can look to atone here and will be right in the fight.

ALLELUIA (7) completed his own hat-trick here on Mon when pressing on from gate 3 to find the front and controlling terms in front and running home a nice closing 800m. Ticking over to $500k in stake earnings 2 starts back, he is in superb touch and will be right in this.

SELECTIONS: OHOKA PUNTER (4), GLENFERRIE HOOD (6), ALLELUIA (7)
SUGGESTED BET: OHOKA PUNTER (4) to win

RACE TEN

OUR OVERANOVA (9)
will strip fitter from his latest outing following a 6 week gap between runs. After a typically brilliant start he was soon in the pack from his 50m handicap and hitting the line strongly was only 2m from the winner GIACOMO. Always in contention in these he can arrive for the prize.

RELEVEN DREAM (7) was looming up to go past the leader here on Mon but just ran out of time when 1m from MAYBETOTHEMAX. That followed a luckless effort when sent forward but unable to find position and forced to snag all the way back. With even luck he will be right in the mix here.

GIACOMO (8) was able to land a perfect position in the pocket trail here 2 starts back and when asked for the effort sprinted sharply to score. He was charging home here on Mon after being buried away in the run and can challenge again here.

IVANOV (2) skipped out but was quickly into stride to work to the front over the 2138m here last start before taking a trail. Safely away here he will have the options from the front and is an inclusion in the multiples.

SELECTIONS: OUR OVERANOVA (9), RELEVEN DREAM (7), GIACOMO (8), IVANOV (2)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 2-7-8-9
