Atkinson’s Dam trainer Sandra Hunt didn’t pick up the litter of Outa Credit and Classy Gypsy until the pups were almost two years old.

Although they have taken time to mature they are starting to hit their straps, headed by rising three-year-old Quite Sincere, who looks to make it a hat-trick at Albion Park this Thursday night.

The lightly raced bitch has found consistent form around the track and distance lately and Hunt believes she is starting to build some real confidence in her racing after a quick education.

“With her starting off late I had to properly educate her, that’s the only reason she hasn’t been heavily raced, plus I’ve never been one to race my dogs twice a week either,” Hunt said.

“Her last couple of runs were very good albeit in Monday Grade, that’s why she was in there to try to get her a bit of confidence.

“She’s started to work into her races really well and seems to be learning with each run."

Despite her good form, including a run of thirty seconds flat last start Hunt said the natural progression to Thursday night grade would be a test.

“She’s done her 5th Grade on a Monday so the next step is to throw her in and see how she measures up on a Thursday,” she said.

“There’s a lot of early pace in her race Thursday night and being drawn in the middle she’s not one to ping out but if she can be there at the first corner she’s a chance.

“It’ll be a hard ask tomorrow night from box five, I would have probably preferred box eight away from the other dogs and go right around them, but she’s had a few similar draws and found her spot so she’s a chance.”

Hunt said the entire litter of five had the tendency to look for a bit of room in running and was hoping Quite Sincere could get a look down the back.

“The whole litter like to stay off a bit, appreciate a bit of room to move and not be cluttered, so hopefully if she can find clear running room down the back she’ll have something to chase,” Hunt said.

“If she can get that good run I’ve got no doubt she’ll be right in it, there’s a few in that race that run around that 30 flat, so it’s going to come down to luck in running.”

Hunt was full of praise for the litter, who are enjoying current and hopefully future success.

“I think eventually she as well as her brothers and sisters may get over the 600, but for the moment we’ve just got to keep them ticking through their grades nice and healthy,” Hunt said.

“This has been a really good litter, heaps of ability, they’re not champions but very good dogs.

“The brother won on Sunday Who It Is, he’s won three in a row now, plus And You Are he’s in the next race tomorrow night with a favourable draw in the eight I think he’s capable of winning.”
