RACE TWO

A capacity field of 14 here for the trotters which is always a tricky one to assess. Happy to take the risk with REGAL ASSASSIN (10) here. First up for astute trainer Stephen Cini coming off some consistent form in Victoria. If he can produce somewhere near his best he should go close.

THE REAPER (8) was well supported here last start when breaking soon after the start. His form prior is hard to fault. If he can step away cleanly and do things right he will be very competitive.

MONORAIL (9) is racing well. After breaking last start he still finished within 4.6 metres of the winner, BOURBONONTHEROCKS. He does have to contend with a 20 metre handicap but if he can get away cleanly and obtain some luck throughout he can be in the finish.

STEVES STAR (11)  was a winner here last start running 2:01.7 from the standing start over the 2138 metre journey. After that win she finds herself off a 20 metre handicap, although if she can step away well she will be in the mix.

SELECTIONS: REGAL ASSASSIN (10), THE REAPER (8), MONORAIL (9), STEVES STAR (11)
SUGGESTED BET: REGAL ASSASSIN to win

RACE THREE

KIT KATS CHAT (5) was an impressive winner on debut at Redcliffe when running away scoring by over 15 metres. She looked to have plenty in reserve on that occasion and will no doubt further improve from the run. Although this is a step up in grade she looks up to it.

COULDNTELLYA (1) is a lightly raced mare by Changeover. Having only the six race starts she seems to really be finding form. A winner three starts ago at Redcliffe and not far away at her latest start behind THANKHEAVENFORGIRLS at Albion Park, a win is within reach.

TIGES APPRENTICE (3) is having his third start in Queensland here. Starting favourite at his Queensland debut at Albion Park he could only manage sixth beaten just under ten metres behind STUDLEIGH WILL. Last start finding the front from a good draw couldn’t see it out finishing unplaced at this track and distance. Drawn well again he may be worthy of another chance.

WANJIRU (2) was an impressive winner here first up in Queensland when defeating THANKHEAVNFORGIRLS in a mile rate of 1:56.2 when coming from back in the field. Her last couple of runs have been below par. Back to the front line draw here may spark some improvement.

SELECTIONS: KIT KATS CHAT (5), COULDNTTELLYA (1), TIGES APPRENTICE (3), WANJIRU (2)
SUGGESTED BET: KIT KATS CHAT (5) to win

RACE FOUR

ZED EXPRESS (8)
looks well placed in a race like this. Last start at Albion Park pushed forward from the centre of the line to take up the running and almost got the job done only going down by the narrowest of margins. Drawn to receive a cosy trip he will be hitting the gaps hard when they appear.

IDIOTS DREAM (1)
hasn’t has the best of luck of late. His last few runs have been better than what they read on paper. He comes up with his best draw for some time here which will give hima good chance to breakthrough for win number one.

BERTILS FIREFOX (6) had been racing well prior to his last start at Albion Park where he pulled hard in the run when down the track behind WANJIRU. The start prior he wasn’t far away behind RAGING INFERNO at Redcliffe. If he has some luck in transit he can figure.

JEWEL OF PEAK (9) was a winner at Albion Park last start when able to lead all of the way. Her form prior was good. The draw hurts here but with the right run can be zipping home late.

SELECTIONS:  ZED EXPRESS (8), IDIOTS DREAM (1), BERTILS FIREFOX (6), JEWEL OF PEAK (9)

SUGGESTED BET: ZED EXPRESS (8) to win

RACE FIVE

COBALT BLUES (4) has been flying of late. A strong winner at Albion Park on Thursday and was hitting the line hard two starts ago when didn’t have the clearest of runs. He should be able to slot in somewhere handy from the draw and looks the one to beat.

DYNAMIC DEEJAY (1) has come up with the ace draw. Last start he came off a wide draw at Albion Park behind GOTTA MOMENT where he wasn’t too far away. He has options from this draw and looks a danger.

GUNNAREIGN (7) will need a slice of luck from the gate but has been taking on stronger opposition her last few starts. She hasn’t raced since the start of September when down the track at Albion Park behind STEVIE DEE. If the gaps appear she will be running on late.

MO JARNEY (5) finds a tough draw here but has been racing well. He was a winner four back at Albion Park when leading all of the way. With luck he can place.

SELECTIONS: COBALT BLUES (4), DYNAMIC DEEJAY (1), GUNNAREIGN (7), MO JARNEY (5)
SUGGESTED BET: COBALT BLUES (4) to win

RACE SIX

ITSMEGS (5) has been knocking on the door with some solid efforts her last two starts. She was a close third two starts back behind GOTTA MOMENT. Last start she was tough sitting parked and finishing third behind MISS KEESHA. She looks hard to beat despite the tricky draw.

NON PASSARE (2) has been racing in great form of late. He went down narrowly on Thursday at Albion Park and had been placed two from his last three prior. The draw suits here and looks a definite threat.

TORQUE WITH ESTEEM(1) lands her best draw for some time. She had won three in a row prior to her last two starts where she hadn’t had the best of luck. This draw suits and she can make her presence felt.

MISS KEESHA (8) was a winner here last start when able to lead all of the way in a 1:57.7 mile rate. She maps to get a good trip here so she shouldn’t be discarded.

SELECTIONS: ITSMEGS (5), NON PASSARE (2), TORQUE WITH ESTEEM (1), MISS KEESHA (8)
SUGGESTED BET: ITS MEGS (5) to win

RACE SEVEN

EARL JUJON (9) finds a suitable race here. Last start was in a much stronger race at Albion Park where he had to try and work into the race from back in the field in a sizzling mile rate of 1:52.2. He is a winner of 18 races with 11 of those here at Albion Park. The draw isn’t ideal but with the right run in transit he looks mighty hard to hold out.

CORY WILLIAM (6) is hard to beat when things go right for him. Last start he had no luck when caught three wide when trying to find a position and then had to be restrained to the tail in a 1:53.6 mile rate here behind CLASSIE AMERICAN. If he can find a spot nice and handy he looks a danger.

COLONEL JOY (3) doesn’t have the best numbers next to his name but there was a lot to like about his last run. He drew wide, had to push forward and park out without cover in a slick 1:53.6 mile rate  behind CLASSIE AMERICAN. There doesn’t look to be a great deal of speed drawn inside him so if he can push forward and find a handy spot he can be in the finish.

CIRCLE LINE (2) lands a good draw here. He will be hustling hard early to find the pegs and if that eventuates will be in it for a long way.

SELECTIONS: EARL JUJON (9), CORY WILLIAM (6), COLONEL JOY (3), CIRCLE LINE (2)

SUGGESTED BET: EARL JUJON (9) to win

RACE EIGHT

ELMAUR JOY (6) was an impressive winner here last start over the 2138 metre journey when able to cross and dictate from the front. Her form prior was solid coming off wide draws. She gets back to the mile here where she is a winner of seven races. The wide draw isn’t ideal but no doubt she will be running the gate hard to try and cross down to the pegs first and if she can do that looks hard to beat.

IN THE PAPER (1) comes out of a strong form race at Albion Park last start behind the ever consistent STOMPEM, buried away on the pegs on that occasions was able to get within 7.3 metres of the winner. He maps to get a good trip here and looks a threat.

STEVIE DEE (8) is racing in good from of late. She will be stalking IN THE PAPER throughout and will be looking for the gaps when they appear.

SPEEDIE MCARDLE (5) is never too far away. He was thereabouts last start behind ELMAUR JOY. He just needs some luck to go his way and he can be prominent.

SELECTIONS: ELMAUR JOY (6), IN THE PAPER (1), STEVIE DEE (8), SPEEDIE MCARDLE (5)

SUGGESTED BET: ELMAUR JOY (6) to win
