RACE TWO

Always a consistent performer and with the gate speed to take full advantage of a front-line gate, COREY WILLIAM (1) has the hoof on the til after 3 successive minor placings. Using the passing lane last start when 4m in arrears of ANYCHANCE, he was only beaten a pimple here 2 starts back. Despite this being 2138m, if he can pinch a panel early, he can make it tough for the chasing pack.

SEA HAWKE (2) was knocking on the door after successive placings at Redcliffe and franked that when swooping home to score over the 1780m trip. Easing back in a 2138m qualifier last start, he finished hard in the stretch to arrive for a smart win. Settling close, he can look to repeat.

THATS HOW WEROLL (5) is still looking to get out from his race here last week when snagged back from gate 6 and then never sighting a gap at any stage. Always needing some factors in his favour, if he is a threat if able to see clear space.

MAJORDOIT (8) made the most of conditions to open his band assessment here 3 starts back when leading throughout over the mile. Hitting the line strongly here last start, he looks set for a perfect trip in the snipers seat.

SELECTIONS: COREY WILLIAM (1), SEA HAWKE (2), THATS HOW WEROLL (5), MAJORDOIT (8)
SUGGESTED BET: COREY WILLIAM (1) to win

RACE THREE

MIDNIGHT MAN (1) lines up here looking to make it 3 on the bounce after wins over the Redcliffe 2040m and then here over the 2138m. Settling back in the pack from gate 10 last week, he had bullets to fire in the stretch when finishing best to claim a 2m victory. Back in the draw, he looks set to give them something to chase.

SIR JULIAN (4) was sent to the breeze from gate 7 over the 2138m on Tuesday. Forced to race tough, he was in for the fight when holding on for 3rd behind SABRAGE. Chasing late to grab 3rd here 3 starts back when 6m in arrears of the winner MACEY JAYDE, he is never far from the action and can feature.

FEELINGFORARAINBOW (10) has been in great touch with wins at 5 of his past 7 starts, the latest here on Tuesday when holding on for a narrow defeat of SLICE OF HEAVEN after doing plenty of work in the run. Despite the sticky gate, he is in the fight.

RED CHARMER (3) has found herself locked away back in the pack against the pegs at her past 3 outings after landing some tricky gates. Looking for gaps that didn’t arrive last time, she can settle closer and chime in late.

SELECTIONS: MIDNIGHT MAN (1), SIR JULIAN (4), FEELINGFORARAINBOW (10), RED CHARMER (3)
SUGGESTED BET: MIDNIGHT MAN (1) to win

RACE FOUR

THE CRUISE MISSILE (1)
started from gate 10 last start when able to snare the 1x1 trail. Chasing gamely, it was a sound effort behind STREET APPEAL after being 1st up for 6 weeks. Setting the tempo 2 starts back when only grabbed on the line in a qualifier by HARD OT HEAR, he will strip fitter and from the gate gets every chance to dictate.

SAM IS PEREFECTION (9) found his race here last start over the 2138m when sent around the field in the early stages and showing his intention in getting to the front. Once in control he cruised home to a 7m victory. Not much went his way the start prior and with the right run, can challenge in this.

SPRING CAMPAIGN (8) returns from a Sydney prep where he never really put it together and switches to the Ricky Gordon barn here. Given a sharp trial where he put on a power running display at Marburg, he should get the perfect trip here.

JOHNNY WHITE (10) looked set to score a qualifying win here last week when looming up and putting the head in front, only to be grabbed on the wire by SEA HAWKE. He won’t be far away here.

SELECTIONS: THE CRUISE MISSILE (1), SAM IS PEREFECTION (9), SPRING CAMPAIGN (8), JOHNNY WHITE (10)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-8-9-10

RACE FIVE

CC JONES (4) had 2 things against him last start when landing the 2nd line and also taking on his less preferred 2138m trip. That followed a tough run when circling them early from the 2nd line to find the breeze over the Redcliffe sprint trip. Back to the front after 3 successive 2nd line gates and back to the mile, this is within reach.

LETTUCEFIRESTAR (6) was sent to the breeze from gate 4 over the 2138m last start and rolling the sleeves he was able to grind his opponents into submission in claiming a 2m victory at big odds. Not suited off the 2nd line against the tempo the start prior, he can throw down the challenge.

THE DOORMAN (5) started from inside the 2nd line last start over the 2138m and lost all momentum in the pocket trail when the leader hoisted the white flag. A tidy 2nd behind the in-form FEELINGFORARAINBOW here 2 starts back, the return the mile is a big plus.

BETTERTHANAJEEP (2) should be getting closer to full fitness following 4 runs back from close to 2 years on the sidelines. Fading after a tough run last start over the 2138m, he was only a half-neck from the prize 2 starts back and is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: CC JONES (4), LETTUCEFIRESTAR (6), THE DOORMAN (5), BETTERTHANAJEEP (2)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

Taking on the older mares last week when 2nd up from a long break, PELOSI (6) made a costly error at release point from the ace. Angled to the running line, it was a brave effort and full of merit when only finishing 2m in arrears of the in-form ETERNAL PROMISE. Too tough on return when facing the breeze, the star filly can bounce back and atone for her misdemeanours of last week.

CHERRYS THE BEST (2) started from the 2nd line last start and after landing the 1x1 trail, chased home to grab the bronze behind ETERNAL PROMISE. Striking trouble at Redcliffe the start prior, she didn’t have much luck here 3 starts back. From this gate, she can look to make her own luck.

BALLERINA COURU (4) resumes from a spell without the benefit of a public trial. Lats seen back in January when within 2m of the winner in a strong mile after having a look for the front from gate 6, she was an all the way winner over the sprint trip 2 starts back. She might just need the run.

DEMETER (3) made a successful start to her Qld career when finishing over the top of them to claim a mares qualifier here 2 starts back. Eased back from gate 6 last start, the improved gate is a plus.

SELECTIONS: PELOSI (6), CHERRYS THE BEST (2), BALLERINA COURU (4), DEMETER (3)
SUGGESTED BET: PELOSI (6) to win

RACE SEVEN

SHERIFF JUJON (9) backs up from Wed night at Redcliffe where he faced an ask from outside the front line. Buried in the run here the start prior, he wasn’t too far away when mid-field behind the in-form FEELINGFORARAINBOW. Only 3away 3 starts back, he strikes a winnable contest here.

LIVE ATOM (4) took on a similar race here 2 starts back when sent to the front over the mile from gate 2. Setting the speed, he looked to kick clear, only to be grabbed near the line by the passing lane winner HES NOVAK. Racing tough 3 starts back, he backs up from Wed night when drawn inside the 2nd line and will go close in this.

RIVERLEIGH ROCKET (7) continues to run good races but just can’t seem to get the right rub of the green to land the loot. Doing some early work last start, he wasn’t too far away which followed a head 2nd. Despite the gate he has claims.

SHAZAM SHANNON (3) was slow to muster from the tapes last start in the Marburg Goldstrike and then couldn’t get into the contest. 5m away to grab the silver 2 starts back, he won’t be far away.

SELECTIONS: SHERIFF JUJON (9), LIVE ATOM (4), RIVERLEIGH ROCKET (7), SHAZAM SHANNON (3)
SUGGESTED BET: SHERIFF JUJON (9) to win

RACE EIGHT

HIGH ON MONTANA (4) was angled away from the inside here on Tues and with the breeze looking on offer, circled them and was soon 4-wide in looking for position. Battling away to the line, it was a tidy effort under the circumstances. Fading the start prior in a similar race to this after working hard, this looks to be well within reach.

IDEAL TIGER (8) has been to the track 3 times since arriving in Aus and was able to breakthrough for his 1st victory last start at Marburg. Eased back from gate 5 in that contest, he came with the closing shot to arrive for a narrow victory. The inside gate is a little tricky here, but with the winning confidence is in the mix.

OUR FRIEND (10) wasn’t on his best behaviour last start and was never in the mix after failing to move up. Grabbed late after leading them up 2 starts back over the 2138m, if his manners come to the track, he can be sharper.

IFYOUBELIEVE (2) just keeps racking up the placings and added another last start to make it a top-3 in 13 of his past 14 outings. With good speed off the gate, he can find a handy spot to feature.

SELECTIONS: HIGH ON MONTANA (4), IDEAL TIGER (8), OUR FRIEND (10), IFYOUBELIEVE (2)
SUGGESTED BET: HIGH ON MONTANA (4) to win

RACE NINE

Despite landing the outside gate in the small field, MAJOR CAM (7) has returned in superb order this campaign and looks to have a good hold on this to complete a hat-trick of victories. Powering over the top of them last start to a clinical victory, it had followed a passing lane victory when 2nd up. He looks too classy.

CASINO TOMMY (1) is the big beneficiary from the barrier draw and can be much sharper with an improved gate. Snagged back from gate 6 last start his closing sections were good despite finishing down the line. Attacking the line in good style the start prior when 7m in arrears, he can feature.

CLINTAL DO (2) returns from a freshen with his last appearance 7 weeks ago when making an error and ending his chances. A passing lane winner over this trip 2 starts back, he will take good benefit from the outing.

MACH ALERT (4) was beaten by the gate last start when just ending up too far back after retreating in the early stages from gate 7. His previous 2 were from the 2nd line and back to the front suits.

SELECTIONS: MAJOR CAM (7), CASINO TOMMY (1), CLINTAL DO (2), MACH ALERT (4)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJOR CAM (7) to win

RACE TEN

MISS MONEYBAGS (6) found the running line from gate 3 last start over this trip. With a solid tempo being set, she was able to finish over the top to claim a smart win. That followed placings at her previous 2 starts including a tough 3rd from the breeze in a similar mares qualifier over the mile. This looks well within her grasp.

LETHAL STAR (1) was looking for a hat-trick of victories on Wed night when taking on a Trot Rods one lap scamper at Redcliffe. That had followed a tough win when sent forward to sit outside the leader from gate 6 over the Redcliffe 1780m. With the early options, she can challenge.

CHINOOK WINDS (3) started from inside the 2nd line last time out and was soon locked away. With the power on from the front, she was facing a challenge to get into the contest. Settling close from this gate, she won’t be far away.

KOTARE ELITE (2) has started twice since arriving in Aus, the latest when doing her share of work from gate 6 when wide off the track. Settling closer and back to mares only grade, she can chime in.

SELECTIONS: MISS MONEYBAGS (6), LETHAL STAR (1), CHINOOK WINDS (3), KOTARE ELITE (2)
SUGGESTED BET: MISS MONEYBAGS (6) to win
