RACE TWO

SOME EXCUSESOMEWHERE (1) was starting to look like he needed the winning post shifted down the AP straight, having been run down after leading them up at his past 3 starts leading into his assignment on Tuesday. Rolling along in front in his usual manner, he was able to fight them off to claim a 1m victory. This looks no harder and with less pressure drawn to his outside can repeat.

JAMES DEAN (8) last tasted success here 6 starts back when sitting in the pocket trail and peeling in the stretch to score. Forced to cover plenty of the oval here on Tues behind SOME EXCUSESOMEWHERE, it followed a tough trip at Redcliffe. With an easy ride he can take the closing shot.

NEWMERELLA SHARKIE (4) has been in the money at 3 of his past 4 starts, the latest here on Tues in the same race mentioned above, hitting the line hard when 2m in arrears. Only a neck away here 2 starts back, he just needs some luck.

CONDAFEW (6) backs up from Thurs where he drew a tough gate and he faces another tricky gate here. Never far from the action, look for him swooping home late to fill the minors.

SELECTIONS: SOME EXCUSESOMEWHERE (1), JAMES DEAN (8), NEWMERELLA SHARKIE (4), CONDAFEW (6)
SUGGESTED BET: SOME EXCUSESOMEWHERE (1) to win

RACE THREE

A tricky qualifier for the mares where despite landing the widest gate, OUR DELIGHT (7) might just be set alight to get across them and finding the right position in transit, she would have this within her grasp. Runner-up to MISS MONEYBAGS last start from the pocket trail, she is worth a ticket.

KOTARE ELITE (2) found the pegs in the same mares event last week and chased home for the silver behind MISS MONEYBAGS when 4m in arrears of the winner. That followed a wide trip over the mile when 2nd up in Aus. With her races well-spaced, she will be tightened and can challenge.

JOVIAL JULIE (9) took on a 2nd division qualifier last start when taking the pocket trail from gate 1 and finishing right in behind them when 2m from the winner SHAZAM SHANNON. Back to mares only suits.

SPECIAL RESERVE (6) was runner-up here 2 starts back when 1m from the winner LAUGHING EMOJI after racing in the trail. Not suited from gate 10 last time, she is an inclusion to the multiples.

SELECTIONS: OUR DELIGHT (7), KOTARE ELITE (2), JOVIAL JULIE (9), SPECIAL RESERVE (6)
SUGGESTED BET: OUR DELIGHT (7) to win

RACE FOUR

JOHNNY WHITE (6)
earns the return to the main draw after being exiled after making an error when starting fav here 3 starts back. That is the only time he has missed a cheque here at headquarters in 7 outings and he has started fav in his past 5 in succession. Only 3m in arrears last start, he loomed up to win here 2 starts back, only to fade in shadows of the post. This looks well within reach.

HANDSOME HERO (5) is going better than his past 2 returns may suggest, the latest returning a duck-egg after being shuffled back from inside the 2nd line. Always facing a task from back in the pack here 2 starts ago when the power was on late up front, he can be much sharper here.

MAJOR GENERALJUJON (2) eased from the four-hole last start to find some short-cuts when closing out in good order when 4m from SAM IS PERFECTTION. 3rd to MIDNIGHT MAN 2 starts back, he can fire the 1st shot here.

COOL SCOOTER (8) was buried away in transit last time and did well to get within 5m of the winner. He looks set to be searching for runs again from this alley and can chime in late.

SELECTIONS: JOHNNY WHITE (6), HANDSOME HERO (5), MAJOR GENERALJUJON (2), COOL SCOOTER (8)
SUGGESTED BET: JOHNNY WHITE (6) to win

RACE FIVE

SHERIFF JUJON (4)
was sent to the post as fav last tine out in a 2nd division qualifier from a 2nd line gate. Settling in the running line, he made a last ditch bid for victory when falling 1m short of the prize. Finding early position will be key to his chances and if finding a prominent position, he can land the loot.

JUST JOSHIN (5) eased to find position last start when settling back in the pack prior to making good metres in the closing stages to be within 5m of the winner SAM IS PERFECTION. Runner-up 2 starts back behind the in-form MIDNIGHT MAN, he just needs a rub of the green in transit to challenge.

BLUE MOON RISING (1) was 2nd up for the new stable 2 starts back, given a 4-week break between his 1st and 2nd runs since arriving. Making a closing play, he was only a head from the winner. Backing up from Redcliffe on Thurs, he looks set to play a role in this.

SHAZAM SHANNON (2) claimed a 2nd division qualifier here last week when finishing best to claim a narrow victory. With the right run on offer from this gate, he can chime in late again here.

SELECTIONS: SHERIFF JUJON (4), JUST JOSHIN (5), BLUE MOON RISING (1), RIVERLEIGH ROCKET (7)
SUGGESTED BET: SHERIFF JUJON (4) to win

RACE SIX

MIDNIGHT MAN (6) made it 3 in succession last start when having little trouble in holding the front from the ace and then taking them all the way over the 2138m in scoring in nice style. That followed a qualifying win from gate 10 when swooping home over the top to score. The gate hurts, but with some tempo underneath, he can look to make the swooping shot a winner.

SABRAGE (3) ended a run of outs last start when flashing his speed off the arm to cruise across from gate 4. Dealing from the front, he cruised a 60.9 opener before a pair of matching 27.9 closing panels saw him land a 6m victory. He will need to scoot out, but in front can give plenty of cheek in this.

PARISIAN ROCKSTAR (1) has been in the money at 3 of his past 5 starts, the latest when easing back from gate 7 prior to attacking the line in good style to grab the bronze. With a cosy trip, he can strike.

LEFT A TERROR (8) had to roll the sleeves in racing 1st over last start when only fading the closing stages to be 7m in arrears of the winner. Runner-up to LETTUCEFIRESTAR the start prior, he will be probing for gaps to feature.

SELECTIONS: MIDNIGHT MAN (6), SABRAGE (3), PARISIAN ROCKSTAR (1), LEFT A TERROR (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

ANYCHANCE (6)
completed a threepeat of victories when proving too tough for them after doing all the work in the run. Chipping away outside OUR MAJOR DAY who was setting a slick tempo over the 2138m, he was able to land the winning blow with a half-head victory. Taking them all the way the start prior, he is versatile and looks to have their measure despite the gate.

DARK ENERGY (1) will be 2nd up since transferring to the Dixon stable, hitting the line in nice style when 1st up since joining the leading barn here last week. That was in open company where he went to the poles looking for short-cuts and was within 3m of the winner MAJOR CAM. With the gate advantage, he can challenge.

SUBTLE DELIGHT (8) is in top order, running in the quinella at his past 5 in succession, including a tough win last start when doing all the work in the breeze. 3m from ANYCHANCE 2 starts back, he will be probing.

INVINCIBLE LOXTON (2) found the front over the mile last start when gripping on to a half-neck 2nd behind TULHURST ACE. Doing it the tough way when 3m in arrears the start prior, he will fight.

SELECTIONS: ANYCHANCE (6), DARK ENERGY (1), SUBTLE DELIGHT (8), INVINCIBLE LOXTON (2)
SUGGESTED BET: ANYCHANCE (6) to win

RACE EIGHT

After starting inside the 2nd line last time out, INNOCENT CROCKER (5) was soon in peak-hour gridlock and hoping for a miracle. Said miracle did not eventuate, however she was closing out nicely to get within 4m of the winner, CHERRYS THE BEST. From the mid-line with the small field, she will get her chance to charge home to take this.

CHERRYS THE BEST (3) was obliged to cut the breeze in the early stages as the field worked into position through a sharp, sub 27 opening panel. Closing in nice style the start prior when 8m in arrears of the winner ETERNAL PROMISE, she might need to do the heavy lifting here, but is in the fight.

MACEY JAYDE (4) can make errors early and finds herself in the middle of the line here after earning the return to the main draw last start. Leading from 7 in that event, if she can get away safely, she will give them a target to gun down out in front.

ETERNAL PROMISE (7) is in super order with 5 wins in her past 6 outings, the latest when scoring in a similar mares event over the mile. Able to lead them up on that occasion, she will need to chase here but cannot be ignored.

SELECTIONS: INNOCENT CROCKER (5), CHERRYS THE BEST (3), MACEY JAYDE (4), ETERNAL PROMISE (7)
SUGGESTED BET: INNOCENT CROCKER (5) to win

RACE NINE

JEDDY R YA READY (1) will appreciate the front line under the conditions of this event and comes into the contest with a last start 2nd here on Tues. Working home in nice order in that contest, he was 5m from SIR FAHRENEIT in a new track record over this trip. A smart winner 2 starts back, he gets every chance.

OUR OVERANOVA (8) will be 3rd up this campaign after finishing 3m from the winner, LAVROS TEXAS under mobile conditions last start. Mid-field at his return over this trip, his record is exemplary and with the added fitness can challenge as he looks to add another victory to his 47 here on the track.

MAJESTIC SIMON (2) made a mess of things as the tapes released here 2 starts back and then worked in the run when fighting hard. Hitting the line hard last start, if he can step cleanly from the front, he will be right in the thick of this.

LAVROS TEXAS (3) shoots for a hat-trick of victories after wins from the mobile mile and then off the front over 2138m. With the 10m impost, he can settle close and be ready to issue the closing shot.

SELECTIONS: JEDDY R YA READY (1), OUR OVERANOVA (8), MAJESTIC SIMON (2), LAVROS TEXAS (3)
SUGGESTED BET: JEDDY R YA READY (1) to win
